Hoxe falamos de prematuridade Impacto psicoloxico para os pais, como apoialos,… “A prematuridade non é só unha cuestión médica: é un impacto emocional profundo que sacode ás familias e lles cambia a vida de golpe.” “Os pais de bebés prematuros non están sós: é normal sentir medo, culpa ou perda de control; o importante é pedir axuda e deixar que outros acompañen.” “O vínculo non se rompe pola incubadora nin pola distancia inicial: o amor constrúese día a día, e chega sempre que hai contacto, presenza e coidado.” 1. A prematuridade non é só un concepto médico Un bebé prematuro é aquel que nace antes da semana 37, pero o impacto é moito máis amplo ca un dato clínico. A experiencia é intensa e complexa emocionalmente para os pais, que ven ao seu fillo pequeno, fráxil e nun entorno hospitalario moi tecnificado. 2. O impacto emocional nos pais Os pais enfróntanse a un auténtico terremoto emocional: Medo: á vida do bebé, ás complicacións, ao pronóstico. Incerteza constante: cada visita dos médicos pode traer novas noticias. Culpa: “Fixen algo mal?”, “Puiden evitalo?”, aínda que en realidade a maioría das causas non dependen deles. Perda de control: moitos pais fan accións repetitivas (ordenar, recolocar cousas...) para recuperar unha sensación mínima de control. Sensación de abandono: cando teñen que marchar da UCI neonatal e deixar o bebé, aparece a idea de que o están “abandonando”, aínda que non sexa así. 3. O vínculo co bebé e o medo a non crealo O contacto pel con pel é moi importante, pero non poder facelo ao principio non rompe o vínculo. Os bebés poden estar en incubadora e aínda así os pais establecerán un vínculo seguro máis adiante, sen consecuencias negativas. A psicóloga lembra que hai nenos que non teñen aos pais no parto ou nos primeiros días, por diversas circunstancias, e iso non impide que logo teñan un vínculo forte. 4. O acompañamento na UCI neonatal O avance médico fai que, hoxe, a maioría dos bebés prematuros saian adiante con normalidade. É importante preguntar ao equipo médico: para que serve unha máquina, como evoluciona o bebé... Entender o que pasa reduce a ansiedade. ‍ ‍ 5. O contorno e as familias: que facer e que NON facer ❌ O que non axuda Minimizar: “Non pasa nada”, “Todo vai saír ben”. Presionar: preguntar cada dúas horas “E agora como está?” Pedir fotos do bebé cando a familia non está preparada. ✅ O que SI axuda Ofrecer axuda práctica: levar comida, axudar con desprazamentos, acompañar. Validar emocións: “É normal sentir isto”, “Estou aquí se queres falar”. Respectar os tempos: preguntar, pero sen invadir. Empatía real: non dar consellos baleiros, senón escoitar. ‍⚕️ 6. O apoio profesional é esencial Existen servizos de psicología e saúde mental aos que as familias poden acudir. Non deben sentirse sós: hai equipos médicos e profesionais preparados para acompañalos. Hai tamén asociacións e grupos de apoio de outros pais que xa pasaron pola mesma experiencia. 7. Datos relevantes Cada ano nacen 15 millóns de bebés prematuros no mundo. En Galicia, ao redor de 500 prematuros ao ano. Polo tanto, non é unha situación illada, e compartir experiencias con outras familias adoita ser moi útil. ️ 8.
