ÉPISODE 4 : ÉPILOGUEAujourd’hui, grâce aux compétitions de danse électro et de Vertifight, la Tecktonik continue de vivre de façon underground et plus cachée, notamment en Amérique du Sud. C’est aussi le temps de la réflexion pour les ancien·ne·s danseur·se·s : quels apprentissages en ont-ils tiré ?Nous sommes en 2002, les soirées « Tecktonik Killer » font rage au Métropolis, à Rungis, en banlieue parisienne. Leur but : promouvoir le « jumpstyle » et le « hardstyle », deux mouvements musicaux venus des Pays-Bas et de Belgique. Le phénomène Tecktonik devient un univers, puis une marque : il associe danse, musique, style vestimentaire et boissons énergétiques. Cette popularité, assortie d’une médiatisation à grande vitesse, vont accélérer la ringardisation du mouvement, qui disparaît aussi brutalement qu’il est apparu, avant de tomber dans un relatif oubli.
