She shared with us some of her insights about what Texas State is looking for when reviewing applicants and also discussed what she thinks is great about Texas State University in general.
Dr. Blomquist's credentials are very impressive. He is the Dr. W. Maxwell Thomas Chair in Ophthalmology; Professor and Vice Chair for Education; and the Residency Program Director for the Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. Dr. Blomquist has interviewed several medical school applicants and has sat on the Medical Student Admissions Committee. I had the wonderful opportunity to visit with Dr. Blomquist about what qualities and characteristics medical schools are looking for in future applicants.
