He co-edited and wrote chapters in The Critical Classroom (The Heritage Foundation, 2022), discussing the racial prejudice that comes from the application of critical race theory in K-12 schools. In 2021, South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster nominated Jonathan to serve on the board of the South Carolina Public Charter School District. Ashley Eberhart is in her 11th year of teaching as a Spanish Teacher at Round Rock High School in Round Rock, Texas. She serves as the Vice President for the Texas Foreign Language Association and the Austin Area Chairperson for the Texas A&M Hispanic Network. Ashley has presented from the campus level all the way to the national level on various topics such as SEL classroom strategies, building relationships in the virtual space, and implementing authentic resources for World Languages to advance interpretive proficiency. Devon Beck is a dynamic leader and advocate for education, equity, and community development. His career spans multiple sectors, including education, community engagement, and the music business, where he has pioneered new roles to address organizational needs. A graduate of the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, Devon began his career in education, holding various roles such as Teacher's Assistant, Behavior Specialist, Geometry/Algebra Teacher, Family & Student Liaison, and Pre-Referral Coordinator for the Talbot County Board of Education. Through these positions, he developed expertise in mentoring and supporting students who faced learning challenges. His work reinforced his belief that reaching students at critical stages in life can have a lasting impact.

He has co-authored, with Pam Robbins, Learning From Lincoln: Leadership Practices for School Success, The Principal's Companion, The New Principal's Fieldbook, and If I Only Knew: Success Strategies for Navigating the Principalship. With Jane Liu, Harvey co-authored a Mandarin book for Chinese school principals, The Principal Management Handbook: The American Principal's Approach to Successful Administration. Mark Weston, Ph.D. has worked at all levels of the educational system — classroom, school, congress, US Department of Education, technology companies and universities. Pastor A. W. Anthony Mays was born in Taylor, Texas and was reared in Round Rock, Texas. He accepted Christ and was baptized at Sweet Home Baptist Church in Round Rock. In 1969, Pastor Mays accepted his call into the ministry. Pastor Mays attended the public schools of Round Rock Independent School District and became the first African-American to attend the newly integrated Round Rock High School. He was recently recognized at the Round Rock Independent School District on the 50th Anniversary Celebration commemorating his desegregation. After high school, he continued his education at the University of Texas, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Further study was undertaken by Pastor Mays at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Over the years, Pastor Mays has served in a number of religious and community positions. He is the former moderator of the East Texas Baptist Association, he served as Vice President of the Texas Baptist Congress of Christian Workers, and, he is past president of the Baptist Ministers' Union of Austin, Texas. Pastor Mays has also served as Branch President of the NAACP in Wichita Falls, Texas; Home Rule Charter Commissioner of Round Rock, Texas and Planning and Zoning Commissioner of Tyler, Texas.

Marzano during his time at Round Rock High School in Texas, and the “new normal” for schools these days. He also shares some insight into his family life and newfound hobbies since quarantine. Ms. Brittney Nelson was born in Michigan, living her childhood years out there until she moved to Georgia for college. There, Ms. Nelson attended Georgia Southern University and Valdosta State University, playing Division 1 Basketball for 2 and a half years. After gaining both a bachelors and masters in teaching subjects, Ms. Nelson now teaches and coaches at Round Rock High School, setting time aside for her entrepreneurial venture, Prüvit.

Upon graduation from high school, Coach Carter attended Texas Tech, where he played both football and baseball. After his playing days ended, he remained at Tech as a graduate assistant from 1992 – 1994. He continued his coaching career at Killeen Ellison 1994-1995 coaching football and baseball. He finally returned home and has been at Round Rock since 1995, coaching multiple sports including softball, soccer, football, and baseball. Some of his favorites include; Johnny Bench (pro-athlete), Smokey and the Bandit (movie), Hunting and fishing, playing golf, listening to country music, Mexican food (Rio Grande & La Margarita) and spending time with family. Coach Carter teaches 10th grade World History and is active in campus leadership. Teaching more than just the game and making personal connections with the players are important aspects of coaching to him. Coach Carter serves as the U.I.L. Representative of the Board for the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association and is an active member of Central Baptist Church of Round Rock. Coach Carter earned a Masters in Sports Administration as well as a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Texas Tech University. Zach Santos graduated from Round Rock High School in 2014. He attended the University of Texas at Austin where he received his bachelor’s degree in music studies in 2018. While attending UT he earned his trumpet performance certificate from the Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music, and his business foundations certificate from the McCombs School of Business. Zach is currently one of the associate band directors at Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas. His responsibilities include choreographing for the marching band, assisting in rehearsal, and conducting the symphonic and concert bands. Zach's professional experience includes consulting for Rhythmic Force Indoor Percussion and The Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps as well as working as a visual technician for several world-class drum corps. Zach has given marching clinics in the central Texas area and choreographs for several high school programs throughout Texas. Zach student taught in Leander ISD at Glenn HS with Ms. Kim Shuttlesworth and Running Brushy Middle School with Mr. Van Robison. While attending UT, Zach worked with several high school marching bands in the area including Leander High School, Cedar Ridge High School, and Austin High School. His performance experience includes marching with the Guardians (2013), Crossmen (2014), Blue Knights (15-16), and most recently with the world championship Blue Devils (2017). He performed the UT Wind Ensemble under Jerry Junkin, as well as the UT Symphony Orchestra, Wind Symphony, and Symphony Band. In his free time, he enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Roy F. Smith is the English Department Chair at Round Rock High School and teaches AP English Literature and Dual-Credit English.  Roy is an AP English Literature College Board Consultant. He is also a consultant for the National Math and Science Institute (NMSI). Chris Almendarez is a baseball dad and has served as the President of the Round Rock Express since October 2015. Prior to that, he was Assistant General Manager/Senior Vice President for one season and General Manager for two seasons. He joined the Express as a Senior Account Executive in October 2009. As President, Almendarez oversees all business-related aspects of the club while serving as the team's liaison for Pacific Coast League matters. He also works closely with ownership to expand the Express' footprint in the Central Texas community and maintain the club's highly-respected standing in the baseball industry. Chris was named the Pacific Coast League Executive of the Year in 2016 and during his leadership, the franchise was awarded Minor League Baseball's John Henry Moss Community Service Award as well as Baseball America's Bob Freitas Triple-A Organization of the Year Award. While Chris was honored to be named Executive of the Year, he is most proud of the work his staff has done to capture both the John Henry Moss and Bob Freitas Awards in 2016. Active in his Alumni Association, Chris attended the University of Houston on a baseball scholarship and graduated in 1996 with a BA in Mass Communications. He participates in the annual University of Houston baseball alumni game. Prior to his time at Houston, Chris played baseball for two years on scholarship at Howard Junior College in Big Spring, Texas. He also served as the Student Body President during his time at HJC.He and his family reside in Round Rock. His oldest son Chase played baseball at the University of Houston-Victoria while his youngest son, Luke, recently graduated Round Rock High School, played on the baseball team and will continue to play in college.
