While some episodes provide education for frequent travelers and aviation enthusiasts, others focus on fun anecdotes and experiences from Van and h…

Aliens? Gremlins? Monsters? We laugh at such notions these days. Especially in aviation. But it didn't used to be that way. Emily returns. Because, guess what? Shelter-in-place guidelines dictate that she's the only adult allowed within 6 feet of me. Plus, she rocks. We talk about how recent lifestyle changes are affecting my job and our day-to-day, and we keep it light with some good tv-program suggestions. No charge. My guest this week is someone I have known my entire life. We discuss the history of recessions, and how those recessions have innovated and helped streamline the airline industry moving forward. We give advice to "recession-first-timers" and we also throw a bit of nostalgia your way about the fonder decades of air travel. Van gives some airline water-quality scores, while talking about the advantages of exercise and how it can assist you in your later years. Josh joins the show to talk about intermittent fasting and bad convenient-store tuna. I'm clearly on my soap-box on this one. We recorded this well before COVID-19 showed up in the U.S. In only a few more weeks, the virus made its way here, airline terminals became ghost towns, and lockdowns were ordered throughout the country. It's important to know when you're wrong about something. This episode serves as a lesson that we shouldn't jump so quickly to conclusions, and that just a little more education about something can bring a bustling economy to a grinding halt. Ever wonder what's happening behind the scenes and how the aviation infrastructure actually works? Emily comes to the table with some questions on behalf of the every-day passenger. A story may have been disclosed that was previously "close to the vest" by a select few ........ but you didn't hear it from me.
