Over the last several months, I’ve joined thousands of other Anjuna fans in tuning into Gabriel & Dresden’s Club Quarantine live stream on Twitch three times per week. The live stream, which has sometimes consisted of sets lasting more than 13 hours, has been a light in the darkness for many who have found solace from these crazy times in the music.  Interview w/Brittany Hunter

Diskull is a fast-rising artist that you need to keep your ears peeled for. Stacking up impressive releases, Diskull has put out music on tastemaker labels like Noir Sur Blanc, Brooklyn Fire, and House of Hustle and has quickly earned his talent and trademark sound recognition. The Charlotte local has proved that his skills go beyond production and that he can rock any dance floor. Unless you have been living under a rock for the last 25 years, you have heard of James Estopinal, lovingly referred to as Disco Donnie. One of the true pioneers and godfathers of the festival scene today, he is the brainchild behind Disco Donnie Presents or DDP for short. The first time I had the pleasure of seeing Dixon's Violin was at my first Electric Forest experience in 2018. It was our final day, and we were lucky to even get a ride into the festival that day. How do you say no to an interview with THE PIONEERS of Techno music at Movement? The answer is no matter how nervous you may be... you DON'T. Fresh off the back of their widely successful ‘Lost California’ tour, chillwave meets trap duo Hippie Sabotage have embarked on their 2019 tour, ‘The Beautiful Beyond’, with the sibling producers set to head on a mammoth 30-date schedule across North America. After a massive festival run this last year playing the likes of Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo, HARD, and Electric Zoo, Hippie Sabotage has delivered fans a steady stream of new music including the buzzy “FADING INTO FOG” and the highly acclaimed flip of Billie Eilish and Khalid’s  “Lovely”. The duo recently dove back into their hip-hop roots, earning credits on Denzel Curry’s latest album TA1300 with “MAD I GOT IT”. Alex Terranova with Fresh Music Freaks sits down to talk shop with brothers Jeff and Kevin as they rolled through Eugene, Oregon on February 5th, 2019.  

Steve Helstrip, aka The Thrillseekers, has been producing trance music since the 1990s. He’s been a pioneer of the genre and has really led the way for many other producers. He’s ‘released a ton of legendary tracks like ‘Synaesthesia”, which still blows my mind every time I hear it.  Steve also performs under the moniker Hydra, which he’s been touring as for a while now in anticipation of his new album. Alex Terranova was given the opportunity to sit down with the gentleman who created LUV BAR, a naturally processed 100% Shea Butter all in one skin bar. Stephen is an amazing soul with an incredible journey that has brought him to the place he is at now. A small storefront with the name “Butter” over the door guides me into the room located just outside of downtown Eugene, Oregon and sets the stage as we sit down and talk for the next 30 minutes.

Fresh Music Freaks sat down with Americo from Boombox Cartel. We laughed a lot in this interview but we also gained quite a bit of perspective about the duo’s roots, who influenced them and some of Americo’s thoughts on the future of dance music. Enjoy.

Gabby J. David cuts shapes and shuffles like a champ to the tune of 300+K followers on Instagram all while suffering from CRPS, or Complex Regional Pain Syndrome. Not much is known about her medical condition, but that doesn’t stop her from spreading positivity throughout the dance music community. I had the opportunity to sit down with Gabby and have a great conversation about everything. Ronski Speed is a veteran of the trance scene. He has been DJing and producing since 1997. His music has had huge amounts of airplay from the likes of Paul Van Dyk, Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto and many others. Ronski also ranked #44 in the DJ Mag Top 100 in 2007. So you know this man is a gamechanger in the industry.
