In this gripping and emotional interview, Abby Johnson returns to discuss her powerful new documentary Unthinkable—a bold exposé featuring real stories from former abortion clinic workers. The film, unlike Unplanned, goes beyond Abby's story and showcases dozens of whistleblowers who reveal the raw, horrifying truth of what happens inside America's abortion clinics—without masks, voice changers, or anonymity.Abby shares how her ministry, And Then There Were None, has helped over 750 workers leave the abortion industry and find healing through Christ. The documentary includes testimonies like one from Lorenda, who witnessed a 30-week-old baby drown in a toilet—and stayed silent. Another story features a worker tied to the notorious Kermit Gosnell clinic, revealing more shocking abuse and atrocities. The film Unthinkable aims to do what mainstream media and Hollywood won't: show the brutal reality, spark repentance, and catalyze cultural change. It's a call to action, not just for pro-lifers, but for anyone who wants truth to shine through the darkness.Abby will be speaking in person at a fundraiser on April 24 at Rothbury Community Church in Rothbury, Michigan to help bring Unthinkable to theaters nationwide. You can support or learn more at unthinkabledoc.com and abortionworker.com.

The Advertising Standards Authority has issued guidance to advertisers to make sure consumers aren't misled about the term "regenerative agriculture".Scotland's first minister John Swinney says inheritance tax changes in the budget are causing unacceptable levels of stress among farmers in Scotland. We're discussing farming in Scotland all this week. The new agriculture act now requires every farmer and crofter to complete an annual whole farm plan in order to claim their basic support payments. The plan is a series of audits to measure things like the carbon footprint and biodiversity, and the aim is to identify where and how farmers can make their businesses more sustainable and environmentally friendly. The first reports are due next May and while a lot of advice is available from the agricultural advisory services, the whole farm plan has caused confusion and uncertainty for some farmers. The Wildlife Trusts have bought a chunk of the Rothbury Estate in Northumberland, now they've begun a £30 million appeal to buy the rest. We ask what it means for food production and the tenant farmers who live and work there.Presenter = Caz Graham Producer = Rebecca Rooney
After police opened fire on miners at Rothbury on 16 December 1929, killing one man and seriously wounding several more, the battle for the hearts and minds of the Australian public began in the NSW and federal parliaments and in the conservative and leftist newspapers. We delve into the recriminations, accusations, and basher-gang reign of terror that followed the Rothbury shootings — and explore the fates of the miners, the politicians and the enigmatic coal baron John Brown. On 16 December 1929, at the Rothbury colliery near Newcastle, thousands of miners protesting against an illegal wage cut were fired on by police with tragic results. But the battle began long before the bullets started flying. For most of that year, these miners had been at the centre of a bitter battle that toppled a federal government, saw the NSW state government use basher gangs of police and resulted in a new Labor prime minister committing an act of political betrayal — all just as the economic after-shocks of the Wall Street Crash were starting to be felt. **This episode was originally released in December 2019** Support Forgotten Australia:Apple - http://apple.co/forgottenaustraliaPatreon - https://www.patreon.com/ForgottenAustraliaTo send me a question for the David Hunt Book Club episode:forgottenaustraliapodcast@gmail.comor https://www.speakpipe.com/forgottenaustraliaCheck out my books:The Murder Squadhttps://www.booktopia.com.au/the-murder-squad-michael-adams/book/9781922863836.htmlHanging Ned Kellyhttps://www.booktopia.com.au/hanging-ned-kelly-michael-adams/book/9781922992185.htmlAustralia's Sweethearthttps://www.booktopia.com.au/australia-s-sweetheart-michael-adams/book/9780733640292.html Hosted on Acast. Glastonbury highlights, DTE power outages, more Titanic submarine fallout, Mick Mars v. Motley Crue, Cardi B v. Offset, 90 Day Fiancé Gino tries to grow a spine, and Tom Mazawey got stoned. We were right. Not-a-Prince Harry and that beast Meghan Markle are NOT good at producing content. Jeremy Zimmer declares her talentless. Taylor Swift once again made the right choice. The Titanic tourist kid just wanted to beat the world record for solving a Rubik's Cube near the ship wreckage. Bud Light is trying to woo the "frat boy crowd" back with a spot full of dumb white people. They're bringing back that Knight character too. We check in on Gino from Canton in his adventures on 90 Day Fiancé. Glastonbury was full of a lot of great performances. Look at those crowds! The BET Awards also aired and featured Drew's favorite hip hop song of all time. Patti LaBelle forgets Tina Turner lyrics. Porscha Coleman spills the beans on Jamie Foxx... except she doesn't. Katie Holmes is worried sick, but no one is answering her phone calls. Jon Hamm married a striking young lady. Mick Mars is still very angry with "Da Motley Crue". Julian Sands... gone too soon. Cragside is a Victorian country house near the town of Rothbury in Northumberland, England. It was the home of William Armstrong, 1st Baron Armstrong, founder of the Armstrong Whitworth armaments firm. An industrial magnate, scientist, philanthropist and inventor of the hydraulic crane and the Armstrong gun, Armstrong also displayed his inventiveness in the domestic sphere, making Cragside the first house in the world to be lit using hydroelectric power. The estate was technologically advanced; the architect of the house, Richard Norman Shaw, wrote that it was equipped with "wonderful hydraulic machines that do all sorts of things". In the grounds, Armstrong built dams and lakes to power a sawmill, a water-powered laundry, early versions of a dishwasher and a dumb waiter, a hydraulic lift and a hydroelectric rotisserie. In 1887, Armstrong was raised to the peerage, the first engineer or scientist to be ennobled, and became Baron Armstrong of Cragside. Raoul Moat was released from a short stint in prison in 2010. In the days that followed he shot three people, including a Northumberland police officer and went on the run in the quiet town of Rothbury. Police scoured the countryside for this man with murderous intent, a search that ended on the bank of the river Croquet in a six hour stand-off. ********** Join me at CrimeCon UK on June 12-13th 2021. It is a decade since Raoul Moat went on a shooting spree in Gateshead and Newcastle - in what was described as Britain's largest manhunt for 44 years. The former nightclub doorman shot and injured his ex-girlfriend Samantha Stobbart; shot and killed her new partner Chris Brown and blinded police officer David Rathband, who later took his own life. Moat then went on the run across Northumberland, eventually shooting himself after being cornered in the village of Rothbury. 5 Live’s Rachel Burden speaks to Sue Sim, who as chief constable of Northumbria Police in 2010 led the manhunt for Moat. She says it "concerns" her that some people still see Moat as a "hero". Please note: this episode contains discussions of violence and suicide that some listeners may find disturbing. If you have been affected by issues raised in this podcast, there are a range of organisations and websites that can offer you advice and support. You can find them listed on the BBC's Actionline website at bbc.co.uk/actionline.
PLEASE LISTEN TO ‘SEASON 5 - EPISODE 1’ FOR PART ONE OF THIS TWO-PART CASE. Raoul Moat had been on the run from the police. Using a double-barrelled shotgun, Moat fired the weapon at his ex-girlfriend, Samantha Stobbart. She suffered life-threatening injuries. In the same attack, Moat murdered her new partner, Chris Brown. Moat was obsessed and could not face the fact that his six-year relationship with Samantha had ended. Under the mistaken belief that Chris Brown was an officer of the law, Moat now wanted revenge against the police. Not even 24 hours later, with the same weapon, he shot PC David Rathband as he sat stationary in his patrol car. Police tracked Moat down to Rothbury in Northumberland — a place Moat used to visit when he was a child. He had evaded capture for a week before he was finally spotted (Part 2 of 2). *** LISTENER CAUTION IS ADVISED *** Become a ‘Patreon Producer’ and get exclusive access to Season 1, early ad-free access to episodes, and your name in the podcasts credits. On an October night in 1938 the Rothbury coal mine was rocked by explosions — but the real story was whether The Daily Telegraph had known this sabotage was going to happen but didn’t tell police for the sake of a front-page scoop. This is rabbit-hole mystery revolving around a Gallipoli-Digger-turned-crook-turned-tabloid-reporter, a detective who’d taken on killers, kidnappers and fascists, and a NSW police commissioner protecting the interests of his mate Frank Packer as he turned his newspaper empire into a media dynasty that’d eventually be run by his billionaire son and grandson. After police opened fire on miners at Rothbury on 16 December 1929, killing one man and seriously wounding several more, the battle for the hearts and minds of the Australian public began in the NSW and federal parliaments and in the conservative and leftist newspapers. The most striking image was a Daily Telegraph Pictorial front-page photo that showed a policeman firing over the heads of the crowd. But, as this instalment reveals, this was a fake that conveniently endorsed the official version of events. We also delve into the recriminations, accusations, and basher-gang reign of terror that followed the Rothbury shootings — and explore the fates of the miners, the politicians and the enigmatic coal baron John Brown. Ninety years ago, on 16 December 1929, at the Rothbury colliery near Newcastle, thousands of miners protesting against an illegal wage cut were fired on by police with tragic results. Hello everyone, I am Chris Lipper from On The Bus Events Podcast. In this episode, I had the opportunity to interview Jay Blakesberg. He is an American, San Francisco-based, photographer and film maker. Since the summer of 2007, Blakesberg has produced and directed the live concert video at numerous music festivals including Rothbury, Lollapallooza, Summer Camp Festival, moe.down, Nateva Festival, Langerado and Mountain Jam. In the spring of 2009 Blakesberg went on the road with the re-united – Grateful Dead original members calling themselves "The Dead" as their tour photographer and video documentarian. The photographs from this tour were used in a print on demand tour book series, while over 15 short films created were used to document and market the tour. Currently Blakesberg continues to document Rock and Roll culture photographically while exploring numerous video projects. In 2015, Blakesberg published "Guitars That Jam—Portraits of the world's most storied rock guitars" which explores the history of many of the guitars in the Jamband scene. Featuring images from live concerts and outdoor festivals, this volume captures the personal connection between artist and instrument. Along with the guitar's make and model, each image is accompanied by a story from the musician detailing the instrument's special characteristics, as well as its significance to them and rock history. Including photographs of Neil Young, Carlos Santana, Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh,Trey Anastasio, Derek Trucks, and Warren Haynes to name just a few. Guitars That Jam features a foreword written by Warren Haynes and is an excellent photographic guide to the world of improvisational rock guitars

The first time I had the pleasure of seeing Dixon's Violin was at my first Electric Forest experience in 2018. It was our final day, and we were lucky to even get a ride into the festival that day. We luckily spotted a couple who looked like they were festival dressed and spent a good majority of our time with them in the Observatory while they showed me and my friend what "Rothbury" meant to them. 2019 | Jennifer Fall Fresh Music Freaks explores Electronic Dance Music (EDM) culture, the movers, and shakers, the up and comers, the underground. They've recently been booked for two of the largest music festivals in the state, Movement Electronic Music Festival in Detroit and Electric Forest in Rothbury. They were recently voted “Best Electronic Artist in Detroit” by the readers of Real Detroit Weekly for their Best of 2014 issue. They had a very successful new single on Grant Nelson's Freeze Dried label, and the club where they throw their events, The Grasshopper Underground, was just voted “Best House Music Venue” for the second year in a row. Golf Clap is not only known for their impressive discography and crowd pleasing dj sets, but also for their unpredictable and incredibly entertaining antics. Over the past year, they have been invited to play all over the country alongside industry giants, as both headline and auxiliary entertainers. In addition, they played more than 150 shows in 2013, and are already boasting a schedule replete with coast-to-coast bookings for the 2014-year. In addition to their headline events, Hugh and Bryan have shared the stage with a veritable who's who of veterans and rising-stars alike. Their guest mixes for Rinse FM, Ministry Of Sound, and Pulse Radio have caught the ears of discerning listeners around the world. Their fresh approach, to what Hugh and Bryan refer to as “peak-hour deep house,” has made them a crowd favorite from city to city. They've been performing electrifying back to back dj sets three to seven days a week ever since their debut release, Another Way, shot straight to the number one position on Traxsource, and finished the year in the Top 10 singles of 2013. Their hard work and dedication continues to show as they prepare a very busy touring and release schedule for the year and are launching their new label, Country Club Disco. Golf Clap will continue to uphold their strong presence in the dance music community this year, forever pushing the music they love to the masses.

Fresh from an appearance on ‘Any Question’ on BBC Radio 4 from Rothbury, Lesley still has points and observations to make about her fellow panellists. Energy came up as a topic and Lesley has more to say on the subject in response to David Willetts’ assertions. Lesley also reveals what local people said to her following the recording and the audience’s surprising reaction to the Scottish independence debate. She also had occasion to use a machine in London which would not take Scottish notes. The resulting twitterstrom threw up some interesting points. Lesley also managed to have an eventful time at the SNP Conference in Perth and has a tale to tell. And, on the road with ‘Blossom’, there was a very interesting meeting at the Centre for Human Ecology which prompted lots of questions. Some of which we discuss.
