Bobbi-Jo and I got to talk by the pool in Cabo San Lucas, which is a city in Mexico. It was very hot. Not like in Canada, where Bobbi-Jo is from. She was super nice. 

I meet Nate Shelman, who does a radio show in Boise every day, and he has done over 1,000 interviews in the past year! That is way more than me. 

Meeting Dr. Vincent Kituku was a lot of fun. He even told me a funny story about the first time he got underwear when he was a kid in Africa. Plus he has a really cool job.  

I met Danee, who knows a lot about Wolves. She takes care of the wolves at the research center.  She shared advice on where and when you may see a wolf in the wild.  She also told me about how and why the wolves ended up in the research center.  

Karen and Charles have lived on a boat for 6 years in Sitka Alaska.  They retired from commercial fishing, sold their fishing boat, to buy a home on the water.  They have 2 dogs, from Mexico, which were they live during the winter. 

I met Karen McIntyre at the Sheldon Jackson Museum in Sitka, Alaska.  Karen is a Yupik Indian from Bethel Alaska, and she belongs to the red devil tribe.  She told me about how her tribe uses fish skins to make waterproof clothing!  Yupik people are known for being friendly and holding large potlatches to celebrate and entertain visiting tribes. 

After a wonderful Russian dance performance, I met a kind dancer named Sara. She told me about same of dances she did and how long she has been doing them. Sara also told me why there is no boy dancers and how the girls dress up as the boy dancers.  Sara believes she has done over 800 dance performances! 

Melissa was on the same ferry as me traveling to Sitka Alaska.  Melissa was from Sitka, but she had moved away for many years.  She was moving all the way from Boston.  She told me how she and her Dad used to catch all kinds of fish and sea creatures when she was younger.  

Jill Nelson was kind enough to take a quick break from her busy job as Purser of the ferry boat named Matanuska.  I met Jill while traveling on the ferry from Canada to Alaska. Jill was super nice and told me what a Purser does on a ship.  She even told me a story about how a dog once fell overboard and how they were able to rescue it. 

The last Canadian interview before heading on to Alaska is with a German couple camping near our own site. A grizzly had run through camp earlier in the day!

Girl Around the World continues a stay in Jasper at Patricia Lake Bungalows with an interview with Megan from Edmonton.

There are a lot of Australians in Canada! Girl Around the World spends a few days in Jasper on the way to Alaska. And the pizza is delicious.

Traveling north through Idaho on the way to the Canadian border, Girl Around the World stops at Farragut State Park to interview Ranger Kim about what she loves about her job and Idaho State Parks.
