Will Doctor gives you the sharpest picks for the action at TPC River Highlands -Discussing top 4 names on odds board -2 matchups -1 t10 -3 outrights (+325, 40/1, 110/1) -Sleeper, FRP -Scoring, Best bet For the latest on the world of golf, follow Doc on X @drmedia59 The 2025 Travelers Championship podcast by Will Doctor offers a comprehensive breakdown of the final PGA Tour signature event of the season and a dramatic recap of the U.S. Open at Oakmont. JJ Spahn's emotional and improbable victory—highlighted by a bogey-free 66 in Round 1 and a comeback from five-over through six holes on Sunday—dominates the opening analysis. Spahn's perseverance, bolstered by past experiences like his playoff loss to Rory at Sawgrass and personal life moments, creates one of golf's most compelling storylines this year. Sam Burns, despite leading after 36 holes, faltered on Sunday with a back-nine 5-over but gained praise for his accountability in addressing a controversial rules decision on the 15th hole. Victor Hovland impressed with another top-10 major finish, while Tyrell Hatton and Cam Young finished tied for fourth, each undone by late bogeys. Carlos Ortiz's top-4 finish secured him future major spots and significant earnings. Scottie Scheffler posted a T-7 finish with elite iron play but struggled with driving accuracy. Brooks Koepka showed flashes of his major-winning form with a T-12 finish. Bryson DeChambeau and Keegan Bradley both disappointed due to poor putting and iron play, respectively. Collin Morikawa dazzled tee-to-green but suffered a shocking putting regression. Betting-wise, Will Doctor's card went down 2 units for the week, bringing his YTD loss to 70.7 units. Matchup wins included Rahm over McIlroy and Matsuyama as top Japanese, while Åberg missed the cut as the top Nordic. For the Travelers Championship, Doctor critiques the 72-man no-cut format, urging a return to 120-player fields with cuts and innovations like a shot clock. Course characteristics at TPC River Highlands favor accurate drivers and elite wedge players. Scottie Scheffler headlines as a strong pick at +325 with no statistical weaknesses. Rory McIlroy is passed on due to poor wedge play and fatigue. Morikawa is deemed overpriced despite his iron strength. Schauffele is dismissed for weak wedge approach stats. Matchups include Akshay Bhatia over Sungjae Im and Sepp Straka over Patrick Cantlay, based on wedge stats and recent form. Russell Henley is endorsed as a top-10 pick and outright bet due to his improved putting and elite iron play. Additional outrights include Bud Cauley at 110-1 for his course fit and Scottie Scheffler as the favorite. First-round bet goes to Sam Burns to start strong. Fantasy lineups are provided for both DraftKings and PGATOUR.com formats, featuring Straka, Henley, McIntyre, Spieth, Bhatia, and Cauley. The scoring prediction is -20 under par, with the best bet being Henley top 10 at +275. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Money gifted with good intentions can lead to devastating financial consequences when long-term care becomes necessary. This eye-opening discussion between Elder Law attorneys Greg McIntyre and Brenton Begley tackles one of the most misunderstood areas of senior planning: how well-meaning asset transfers can backfire when seeking Medicaid and special assistance benefits. The conversation cuts through common misconceptions, particularly the damaging belief that the federal gift tax exemption (currently $19,000 per person annually) provides a "free pass" for Medicaid eligibility. As the attorneys clarify, these systems operate under completely different rules, and conflating them can lead to benefit denials precisely when you need care most. They break down the dreaded "look-back period" - that window of time where every financial gift or property transfer comes under scrutiny and potentially triggers penalties that delay essential benefits.Beyond just identifying pitfalls, McIntyre and Begley outline strategic approaches that actually work within the rules. From specialized deeds that protect property without triggering penalties to legally-sound asset protection strategies, they demonstrate that with proper planning, families can preserve their life savings while still accessing critical care benefits. Their expertise reveals the reward in finding that balance between asset protection and benefit eligibility - ensuring seniors can receive necessary care without sacrificing everything they've built.Whether you're planning ahead or facing an immediate care crisis, this conversation offers crucial guidance for navigating the complex maze of long-term care benefits. The attorneys' closing offer of complimentary consultations underscores their commitment to helping families protect what matters most while securing the care they deserve. Power of attorney abuse represents one of the most devastating breaches of trust that can occur within families and relationships. When someone appointed to handle financial and legal affairs betrays that confidence, the consequences can be financially devastating and emotionally traumatic.Attorney Greg McIntyre tackles this crucial topic head-on, providing a clear roadmap for addressing situations where an agent under a power of attorney acts against the principal's best interests. He explains that North Carolina law offers specific remedies when agents fail to uphold their fiduciary responsibilities. The first approach involves petitioning the court for an accounting—essentially forcing the agent to present comprehensive documentation of all their actions taken on behalf of the principal. This transparency mechanism allows a judge to review the agent's conduct and, if necessary, immediately remove them from their position to prevent further damage. For cases where the misconduct is discovered later or after the principal has passed away, McIntyre outlines how civil lawsuits become the appropriate remedy. These legal actions can address breaches of fiduciary duty and seek restitution for funds that have been wrongfully converted to the agent's personal use. Throughout the discussion, McIntyre emphasizes the fundamental principle that agents must always act in good faith and in the best interest of the person who trusted them with this significant responsibility.Have you noticed concerning behavior from someone who holds power of attorney? Don't wait until the situation worsens. The team at McIntyre Elder Law has extensive experience prosecuting these cases and protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation. Reach out today to discuss your concerns and explore your legal options for holding wrongful agents accountable.

McIntyre reminds us that our God is a God of order, not confusion, and that sometimes what we're calling “spiritual warfare” is just a lack of structure. Shelley McIntyre didn't just leave corporate—she walked away from a long career in tech and consulting and into something completely unexpected: grief coaching. But as Shelley quickly discovered, grief isn't just about death—it's also what we experience when leaving jobs, identities, and entire versions of ourselves behind. In this candid conversation, Shelley shares her journey of transformation, from leading corporate strategy to coaching GenXers who feel stuck, burned out, and unsure of what's next. Brett and Shelley talk about grief, imposter syndrome (or why we need to stop calling it that), purpose as a moving target, and the creative rediscovery that often happens post-corporate.This episode is a must-listen for any GenXer wondering if they're alone in feeling “done” with corporate life—and what the other side might look like. What We Cover: • Shelley's surprising path from tech to grief coaching to GenX transition work • Why grief is at the heart of every major life and work change • The hidden cost of staying in corporate too long • How to recognize your “hell yes” moments (and why they matter) • Why imposter syndrome might just be learning in disguise • Why purpose isn't a prerequisite—it's a result of action • Creativity as a gateway to rediscovery • What Shelley listens for when helping people “deprogram” their corporate identityQuotes Worth Sharing:“All knowledge is rumor until it is in the bones.” – Shelley“We don't pathologize a kid learning math…so why do we call it imposter syndrome when we're learning something new as adults?” – Shelley“Purpose is a trailing indicator—it's not something you find on a worksheet.” – Shelley“You don't need to pick one path out of corporate. There are many. Just start walking.” – BrettConnect with Shelley:

Joe Ferrara, investment strategist at Gateway Investment Advisers, says that heightened volatility is likely here to stay as the market sorts out rapidly changing current conditions -- and says current market shocks are reminiscent in some ways of the Covid crisis or the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. He says that the current dichotomy between quantifiable potential outcomes from policies that have been announced and the non-quantifiable future and how conditions may change, making it a good time for low-volatility equity strategies. John Cole Scott, president of Closed-End Fund Advisors, returns to the show with three closed-end funds that he thinks can help investors weather the market's storms, giving his "trifecta analysis" — covering data points on discounts, yields and net asset values — on why he thinks the funds are worth a close look now. Todd Rosenbluth, head of research at VettaFi, looks for some safety and certainty amid the market noise, picking a classic dividend-driven fund as his ETF of the Week, and Tom McIntyre, president of McIntyre, Freedman & Flynn — the original Market Call guest — returns to the show to discuss how his news-driven process is dealing with the headlines now.
Drew McIntyre joins host Adam Silverstein ahead of WWE WrestleMania 41 to discuss his booking -- and fan sentiment behind it -- heading into the Showcase of the Immortals against Damian Priest as opposed to being part of the Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Seth Rollins triple threat match. Presented by Julie Busteed How do you define yourself? Is it by your family, the church you attend, or your job? What does it mean to be identified as a Christ-follower? We have looked at how we are made in God's image and how that defines us. We are also loved by God so deeply we can hardly grasp how wide and long and high and deep it is. And we are also chosen by him for his good purposes. We are also made for community—to be in community. And this community defines us. We were not created to live isolated lives. The first and best example is our Triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are eternal and distinct, and yet they are one. Yes, not an easy concept for our minds to wrap around. But we see beginning in Genesis the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are at the creation of the world. They are in community with one another. We were not created to go it alone. A 2024 Harvard survey found 21% of adults in the U.S. feel lonely. They feel disconnected from friends and family. The data suggests it may be due to anxiety, depression and a lack of meaning and purpose.[1] Because we are made in God's image and he is One God in three persons, we are made to be not only in relationship with God but with each other. We need each other for encouragement, to love and care for one another, to be accountable to each other, to worship and praise God together. And in essence, learn about who we are—our identity. Paul also describes the body of Christ like our own body: For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others (Romans 12:4-5). We all belong to each other. When you don't show up for church or Bible study it doesn't just affect you. Your presence is missed whether you realize it or not. Showing up is huge! Let's remember each of us are a vital part of the body of Christ—it's part of who we are—for our own good and for his glory. --- [1] Batanova, M., Weissbourd, R., & McIntyre, J. (2024). (rep.). This week, Jake and Bob welcome back Dr. Christin McIntyre, a Thomistic psychiatrist, to discuss the concept of personality disorders. They begin by defining what a personality disorder is and explore how modern culture and social norms can influence and twist this definition. Then, they discuss the interplay between inherited traits, early life experiences, and individual choices in shaping one's personality. Through the analogy of a sailboat, Dr. Christin also shares how the intellect, will, and emotions are all interconnected and why navigating the waters of healing not only involves the formation of the intellect but also the conforming of our will to God's. Key Points: A personality disorder is identified by a pervasive pattern of experience and behavior that is abnormal with respect to any two of the following: thinking, mood, personal relations, impulse control (from Dr. Cristina Lynch) Individuals with personality disorders have much hope for change Inner healing is an important aspect of addressing personality disorders Inherited traits, early life experiences, and individual choices all contribute to the development of a personality disorder Healing involves the formation of the intellect and conforming of your will to God Healing is a continuous process, not a one-time event Virtue is essential for true healing and involves habitual good choices Resources: Thomistic Institute of Psychology Connect with Restore the Glory: Instagram: @restoretheglorypodcast Twitter: @RestoreGloryPod Facebook: Restore the Glory Podcast Never miss out on an episode by hitting the subscribe button right now!
