Send us Fan MailEver since Forward-Facing Sonar entered the fishing tournament scene there has been a decline in competitors in most of Montana's fishing tournaments. That's why the Gallatin Chapter of Montana Walleyes Unlimited decided to add something new to this year's Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival. That is what your host of the Montana Outdoor Podcast, Downrigger Dale is talking about with Tournament Director Eve Parrow. So, what did they add you ask? A choice! That's right, they created two competition categories that they call the Tournament Class and the new Social Class. As Rigger put it; “This just might solve a problem that many anglers have had with fishing tournaments these days!”. The Tournament Class, which has an entry fee of $420, will be for those who love to use the new high tech Forward-Facing Sonar or just don't mind competing against those who do, and the Social Class which has a much lower entry fee of just $200 will be exclusively for those who will not use Forward-Facing Sonar, basically for those who want to compete against those who compete with low tech or no tech. Of course, there are a specific details and rules that go with these new competitive categories and that is why you for sure should watch or listen to this week's podcast. Tourney Director Eve Parrow does a great job of covering what you need to know. Eve also talks about all the ways that the whole family can have a blast at this year's Canyon Ferry Walleye Festival! In fact, one tidbit we found super interesting is that in the Social Class up to 5 people can be in a competing boat. Course, only the two-person team can fish but the rest can have some fun cheering them on in the boat! And there is even more things that just might surprise you so, for sure watch or listen to this podcast. A furnace dies, a roof leaks, a heat pump quits during a blizzard and somehow the home inspector becomes the villain. We sit down with home inspector attorney Joe Ferry, who's responded to roughly 4,000 claims, to explain how most complaints actually start: a third-party “expert” plants the idea that the inspector must have missed something, and the buyer can't unhear it. The result is a demand letter fueled by frustration, not strong facts. From there, we pull back the curtain on why cases so rarely go to trial. Joe walks through the economics of litigation, why plaintiff attorneys avoid small-dollar fights, and why insurance companies can be shockingly quick to pay even when a claim is defensible. We also talk about the contract tools that change the game, including arbitration clauses, limitation of liability clauses, and shortened limitation periods, plus legal concepts inspectors hear about too late like contributory negligence and the economic loss doctrine. Then we tackle the newest risk trend: AI in home inspection reports. If AI writes a comment you can't explain under oath, what does that do to your credibility and your standard of care? We cover AI hallucinations, report bloat, and a practical approach for using tools without letting them replace your professional judgment. We close with smart boundaries for social media marketing, including how to anonymize photos and why posting addresses or people can invite trouble. Subscribe for more real-world home inspection risk management, share this with an inspector who's losing sleep over lawsuits, and leave a review with your biggest question about liability, AI, or contracts.Check out our home inspection app at www.inspectortoolbelt.comNeed a home inspection website? There are places in Iceland that are easy to visit. And then there are places that require a bit more effort, but reward you in ways you honestly don't expect. I'm sharing 5 places across the country that are absolutely worth the detour. These aren't your typical Golden Circle stops. These are the kinds of places that make people say: “Wait… THIS was in Iceland?!” If you're planning a trip and want to go beyond the basics, this list is for you. Table of Contents How to Reach These Places (Car & Camper Van Tips) Látrabjarg (Westfjords) Seyðisfjörður (East Iceland) Hveradalir (Highlands) Plan Your Trip with My Iceland Map Westman Islands / Vestmannaeyjar (South Iceland) Siglufjörður (North Iceland) Sample Route Using These 5 Detours Random Fact of the Episode Icelandic Word of the Episode How to Reach These Places (And Save on Your Rental) Let's be real for a second. To visit places like these, especially the Westfjords, Highlands, and North Iceland, you'll need your own vehicle. Public transport won't get you to most of these locations, and guided tours often don't go this far off the beaten path. That's where having the right rental car or camper van makes all the difference. I personally use and recommend: Go Car Rental Iceland Go Campers I've partnered with them for years because: They have a wide variety of vehicles (from small cars to fully equipped campers) Their customer service is amazing And they make it easy to travel around Iceland confidently How to Save + Get Free Extras When you use my link:gorentals.is/allthingsiceland You'll automatically get: 7% off your rental Plus some really helpful extras Here's exactly what to do: For Go Car Rental: Click the link and enter your travel dates The 7% discount is automatically applied When you get to “Insurance & Extras” Select 4G WiFiYou'll see the price does not increase, it stays the same For Go Campers: Click the same link and choose your camper The 7% discount is automatically applied Under the “Sleeping” section Select a sleeping bag Again, the price stays the same It's one of those little things that makes a big difference when you're traveling around Iceland. 1. Látrabjarg (Westfjords) If you're craving something remote, raw, and wildly beautiful, this is it. Látrabjarg is the westernmost point of Iceland, and is known for its dramatic sea cliffs and incredible birdlife. Why Látrabjarg worth the detour: One of the best places in Iceland to see puffins up close Massive cliffs stretching for kilometers A true “edge of the world” feeling Important tips: The road can be rough, so take it slow Best visited in summer (June–mid August for puffins) Not recommended in winter, late fall or early spring. You can use a 2wd to get here but a 4×4 makes the trip easier and smoother. This is exactly the type of destination where having the right vehicle matters. 2. Seyðisfjörður (East Iceland) This town feels like stepping into a completely different side of Iceland. The drive into Seyðisfjörður alone is unforgettable. The winding road down a mountain pass into a peaceful fjord surrounded by waterfalls is incredible. What makes Seyðisfjörður special: Eclectic, artistic vibe The iconic

Send us Fan MailDr. Brandon Tucker and Dr. Jenelle Ferry share two studies tackling some of the most pressing challenges in the care of extremely low birth weight infants. Dr. Tucker presents a quality improvement initiative examining whether switching from PRN glycerin suppositories to scheduled glycerin enemas every 12 hours reduces feeding intolerance and spontaneous intestinal perforation in babies under 1,000 grams — with early results trending in the right direction. Dr. Ferry then shares findings from a meta-analysis of 14 studies and nearly 4,700 babies showing that an exclusive human milk diet is associated with a roughly 20% reduction in the odds of death — a finding that reached statistical significance when RCTs and observational cohorts were pooled together, and one that carries real weight for units still weighing the evidence on human milk-based nutrition.Support the showAs always, feel free to send us questions, comments, or suggestions to our email: nicupodcast@gmail.com.
