Amber Bissell is an advocate by day and an advocate by night. She's got this passion for survivors of sex trafficking that is contagious. Our conversation touches on how traffickers target their victims, transgendered youth and trafficking, and if we truly care enough about the systems that are adding to staggering rates of trafficking. Greater than Diseases and Disorders:   Our final episode in our disability mini-series is a two story special. Tiffany [ last name] also known as Uniqueli and Derek Canas share their compelling stories of not allowing disorders to stop their life. Derek, who contracted AIDS through a blood transfusion as a baby, and Tiffany, who has cerebral palsy, break stereotypes  and are making success and independence the norm with their lives. 

Episode three of our disability mini-series features the fantastic man known as David Friedman. Listen as David shows us how to stand up for things you believe regardless of your ability to walk. He checks the privilege of able bodied folk while reminding us to practice kindness and see from other's perspectives. He also owns a blog called the Disabled Foodie where he talks about his love for food, restaurants that are wheelchair friendly, and tells us stories about his life as a disabled foodie.  

Episode two of our disability mini-series is a chat with Becky Curran. Becky gives us the low down about being a little person in America, but also reminds us that her sole identity does not rest in her height.
