Hunting & Shit Podcast

We want to thank everyone for listening to this series. We had a lot of laughs talking with Steve and Doug so much so that we didn't want it to end. If you haven't listened to part 1 yet  go back and listen to that first. Thanks again for all the support.

We had an awesome time talking to Steve and Doug about hunting Santa Cruz and Catalina islands. Steve Walter (Owner of the Spot Archery) and Doug have been friends for a long time starting their friendship on the islands in the late 80s early 90s. We go over how the animals got on the island, the great stories on the island, and eventually how the animals where decimated. Stay toned for part 2 of this series.     

The TAC event of the west coast! We cover our experience at the High Sierra 3-D shoot both at Heavenly Lake Tahoe and at Bear Valley Ski Resort. Both where a awesome time and can't wait until next year. 

We're back in the saddle after our brake and coughing you guys up on what has had us occupied for the last few weeks.

We finish up the last 2 days of the late season. What a great season we had and can't wait for the rest of this years adventures.

The beginning of the end for our season. listen in as we go over the first two days of our five day hunt chasing the white devils.

We wrap up the season with discussing the struggle of chasing indecisive geese and finding permission on fields that aren't under water. We also have the best goose hunt we have ever been apart of.

We are finally back in the podcast room after our extended break through the holidays and ready to get everyone caught up on what we've been up to. In part one we go way back to the first half of waterfowl season and cover some of the hunts we took part in. We also come to a conclusion of Rickys wader situation and whether it worked or not.

We have the last deer hunting trip for the year. Cody goes to Idaho and hunts whitetail with his dad and unfortunately have bad luck getting a deer on the ground. Ricky goes over his X6A hunt and talks about the struggles he comes across.

This weeks episode takes us to Colorado where Taylor and his brother Garrett spend a week and a half chasing around Muleys. They talk about the ups and the downs of the trip and how they eventually filled out there tags.

We are in Mendota's infamous tent city doing a podcast right in the middle of duck camp. We have a couple great guests on including President of the Central Valley Delta Waterfowl Chapter. It was a great time and we hope everyone had a excellent opening weekend.

California refuges can be confusing. We go over the differences between reservations the lottery drawings along with first come first serve and how to apply for them. Taylor also talks about his successful deer hunt in California, never a dull moment with him...  

We check in with the guys on how everyones opening week of dove season is going along with a update on everyones deer season so far.

We get the guys together to talk about our opening weekend of archery season here in California. 

Hunting season is upon us! We talk about some of the preps we have going for the opening of archery season along with some up coming dove and early season honker hunts.

We have Garrett back with us as we talk about some of the funny hunting adventures we have been on.

Make a Difference Outdoors is  a non-profit organization that helps veterans and individuals with physical challenges and special needs enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hunting and fishing.

We get Big Rick (RED) in with us to talk about spring bear hunting tips and tricks. We discuss bear baiting and stories he's had throughout the years chasing black bears.

We are podcasting right in front of Bass Pro Shop Rocklin with George Parker owner of Blue Bird Waterfowl discussing his new water motion product called The Animator.  We also get some insight on another product in the works The Wing Suit.

Hang with us as our guests Garrett and Anthony, discuss the basics needed to get into the muzzle loading game and their most recent muzzle loader hunt where they chase mule deer across Utah.

We have a special guest Austin on the podcast this week who runs one of the top selling gun counters in California. He talks about what you need to purchase a firearm or ammunition in California along with some other crazy stories. 

The guys dive into what we bring in the field. You'll hear about what's in our blind bags to what types of personal gear we suit up with.

We go over what style and brands of decoy we use and have used in the past. From full bodies to motion we cover it all.

We get Justin in and talk about how our late goose season went.

This is our last entry in the public hunting series. We talk about strategies from opening weekend all the way tell the end of the season.

We're back at it after a short break to fill you in on the last few hunts of the season and the good, the bad, and the collar that came with it.
