It all comes down to finding the difference that makes the difference for each person and context. Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) is great for finding that difference. NLP helps us understand what makes people tick. When we understand how they think, feel, and act in key situations, we have the raw material with which to make change happen, often quickly and profoundly. In the 1970s, a linguist and his partner studied the language patterns and nonverbal cues of great psychotherapists, as well as how people are affected by the systems they're part of. The two pinpointed key aspects of what enables human beings to change. Their findings formed the basis of NLP. Regarding authority, God's people recognize that He establishes all governments, and submission to them is obedience to Him, so long as sin is not involved. Paying taxes and honoring leaders are hallmarks of a faithful life. Moreover, great honor and care are shown to fellow believers. Love does no harm to a neighbor, particularly those of the faith. This shared faith is connected to trust in Christ's return. Therefore, God's people live with urgency and awareness, setting aside deeds of darkness and donning the armor of light. In every aspect, they are diligent to serve Jesus and make no provision for the sins of the flesh. Christianity is profoundly counter-cultural. Many worldly individuals resist the constraints of authority in favor of self-will. However, the children of God submit fully to the Father, even when it means obeying local governments, as we trust in God's power to accomplish good through them. Our attitude toward the government reflects our faith. We show honor wherever God instructs, including to fellow Christians. Guided by God's love, we embrace our brethren in all circumstances and extend Christ-like affection to everyone. We also resist worldly influences and honor God by managing our desires, attitudes, and impulses, being careful to deny the flesh daily. Each day brings believers one step closer to seeing Jesus, and this expectation affects every aspect of our lives. Sovereign Father, thank You for establishing order through governing authorities and for the freedoms we enjoy in our country. Help us to cultivate holiness in our outlook and to submit to leadership with humility, integrity, and complete trust in You. Fill our hearts with hope and gratitude, and teach us to manifest those qualities in how we love one another. We pray for wisdom to live out Christ's law of love, making moral, sober choices so that we are always prepared to meet our King. Forgive our sins of the flesh as we eliminate provisions for sin and choose holiness. Thought Questions: - What is the right attitude toward governing authorities? What do we teach people about faith when we pay taxes and honor officials? - “Love does no wrong to a neighbor.” Is there ever a good reason to mistreat someone? How important is our treatment of others to the Lord? - What does it mean to “make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lust”? How do you apply this passage to things like “strife and jealousy”?

It is so calming to know how involved Hashem is in every detail of our lives. He cares deeply about everything we do, and He is constantly with us, guiding us every step of the way. A woman shared that she had just moved into a new home and needed to buy curtains. One night, she planned to browse online, and in her excitement, she hurried through cleaning up dinner—but forgot to say borei nefashot . She sat down with her husband, opened their laptop, and began typing the word "curtains." After typing the first four letters—C-U-R-T—she looked at the screen and froze. The language bar was still set to Hebrew from when her husband had last used it. On a Hebrew keyboard, typing those four letters spells out: בורא ( boreh ). At that moment, she remembered she had forgotten to say borei nefashot . She said she usually typed without looking at the keyboard, and had she done so now, she would have realized on the first letter that the keyboard was in Hebrew. But this time, Hashem made her look down—just so she would type the word boreh and be reminded of the berachah she had missed. Another story was shared by a man who was looking for a good chavruta to learn with his son at night. He mentioned it to his wife, and she suggested a specific nephew who would be perfect. The problem was that his son was in high school, while the nephew was already learning full-time in a beit midrash with a chavruta his own age. It seemed unlikely that he would want to learn with a high school student. Still, the man had hope. At 11 o'clock that night—perhaps too late to call—he decided to send a text asking if it was a good time. The nephew replied that he was still in yeshiva talking to his chavruta, and that he would call shortly. When he called, the uncle asked if he'd consider learning with his son. The nephew's response left him speechless: "That's exactly what I was just talking about with my chavruta," he said. "I've been thinking I want to start learning at night with a high school boy." Amazing! Hashem had planted the idea in the nephew's mind just before his uncle reached out. Hashem knows the future and arranges everything in advance to help us. A woman who works in an office building said that one morning, her regular parking spot was taken, so she had to park somewhere else. That day, she especially needed to leave quickly after work. When she returned to the lot, she saw three Hatzalah vehicles completely blocking her usual spot. But the place where she had parked was totally clear. She immediately thanked Hashem for arranging in advance that she wouldn't be blocked when time was so tight. Another woman recalled something that happened 15 years ago. She had read an article about children who suddenly developed extreme OCD-like behaviors or severe emotional swings. The article explained that these behaviors could often be traced to untreated strep or Lyme disease—and once treated, the children returned to normal. For some reason, she was drawn to the article and even clipped it out, along with letters from parents describing what their children went through. Thirteen years later, her own child suddenly changed. Her behavior became extremely negative. Therapy didn't help, and she couldn't attend school. No one could figure out what was wrong. Every day, this mother prayed to Hashem to open her eyes and show her the solution. Then one day, she suddenly remembered that article. She found it, reread it, and had her daughter tested for strep and Lyme. Baruch Hashem , they found the cause. With proper treatment, her daughter returned to her normal self within weeks. She thanks Hashem for planting the interest in that article so many years earlier. It turned out to be the key that helped save her daughter. Hashem is with us every second of the day—guiding us, helping us, preparing everything in advance. We need to recognize His hand in our lives and constantly thank Him.

Sean Claffey is the Southwest Montana Sagebrush Conservation Coordinator at the Nature Conservancy, a role that places him at the center of one of the West's most overlooked but critically important ecosystems: the sagebrush steppe. Based in Dillon, Montana, Sean works across public and private lands to protect and restore this sprawling, foundational landscape that serves as habitat for countless species, supports rural economies, and connects the region's valleys and mountain ranges. Through his leadership in the Southwest Montana Sagebrush Partnership—a collaborative effort uniting agencies, landowners, and nonprofits—Sean helps ensure that the health of this “land in between” doesn't fall through the cracks. In this conversation, Sean and I dig into the complex threats facing sagebrush country, from invasive grasses and wildfire to conifer encroachment and land conversion. We talk about how fire suppression and ecological shifts have allowed evergreens like Douglas fir and juniper to overtake sagebrush, and how Sean's team is using a mix of prescribed burns, manual thinning, and innovative partnerships with local mills to restore balance to the landscape. He also shares how they're engaging young people in hands-on restoration work, creating pathways for rural youth to connect with the land and gain meaningful employment. Sean brings a unique blend of scientific insight, community-mindedness, and boots-on-the-ground experience to this work, and he's quick to credit the collaborative culture of southwest Montana for making so much progress possible. From low-tech wet meadow restoration to building a more resilient restoration economy, this is a hopeful, grounded conversation about how conservation can succeed when it centers people, place, and purpose. 760 Which of the Debtors with Love Him More, A Guided Christian Meditation on Luke 7:39-42 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization. Get into a place where you can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes.You should hopefully not be driving or anything tensing or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes. Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation: Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate. Scripture for Meditation Luke 7 ESV 39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” 40 And Jesus answering said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.” 41 “A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42 When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” NET 9 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who and what kind of woman this is who is touching him, that she is a sinner.” 40 So Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” He replied, “Say it, Teacher.” 41 “A certain creditor had two debtors; one owed him 500 silver coins, and the other fifty. 42 When they could not pay, he canceled the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?” Meditation on Scripture: When believers read this part we can be a bit incredulous to the response of the pharisee. Since we have an understanding about who Jesus is and what he knew, it seems silly to question Him. As though this pharisee was more knowledgeable than Jesus regarding this woman and her actions. There is a kind of arrogance that accompanies the judgemental heart. He had his own information and presumed himself to be wiser than Jesus. Since he knew something of the woman's crimes, that knowledge caused him to doubt Jesus. Jesus then starts a parable that will teach a valuable lesson. It wasn't ignorance or weakness that led him to welcome this action from this woman. It was grace. When we ignore Jesus' grace, then we approach the heart position of this pharisee. There are times in our lives when we feel that we know what is just and unjust. We think we have all the facts needed to be clear on how offended to be about something and we end up in a very similar situation as this man. Jesus invites us into a position of grace with Him and His other children. Whenever we have a feeling of moral superiority over anyone for any reason, this mindset rears its head. We are all debtors to God. None of us have the funds needed to pay that debt. He points out that He is willing to forgive us. God extends his grace to you, and the other people we judge. During this meditation may we embrace grace. Leave to God, the role of offense. Our role is not to be indignant at others but to be grateful to the one who forgives our debt and allow Him to deal with his other debts however he chooses. Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. Chris Gloude, APRN, has been a nurse practitioner for 6 years. Prior to that, he worked as a paramedic and nurse, with a total of 17 years of experience in the medical field. He currently practices in cardiology and also has experience in internal medicine. Chris has personally struggled with obesity since childhood. His journey with the ketogenic and later carnivore diet began after being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2015. He was initially prescribed oral medications, which only worsened his symptoms. It wasn't until a colleague introduced him to the ketogenic diet that he began to feel better. Over the years, he followed the diet intermittently but consistently felt his best while adhering to it. In addition to his physical health challenges, Chris also struggled with depression and anxiety, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. During that time, he was prescribed Lexapro and Xanax. It wasn't until he fully embraced the ketogenic lifestyle that he was able to successfully wean off these medications and achieve lasting improvements in both his physical and mental health. Chris is currently working in cardiology, a field where the ketogenic diet is often viewed with skepticism. However, he draws from his personal and professional experience to take a different approach. He incorporates knowledge of nutrition, stress management, and overall health to engage patients in meaningful conversations about the root causes of their symptoms. Rather than defaulting to testing or medication, he prioritizes lifestyle changes and shared decision-making to create a more personalized and sustainable path to wellness.
