Happy Mindful Monday Everyone! In this week's episode, our host, Allie Brooke, sits down with  amazing Brigette Panetta. Brigette has emerged as a powerful advocate for individuals facing social injustice and adversity. As the partner of James Mawhinney, founder of Media.com, Brigette has personally experienced the profound challenges of fighting against a government body. Over the past four years, she has witnessed the severe impact of Australia's corporate regulator, ASIC's, false allegations on her family's investment business, Mayfair 101. This ordeal has deeply affected Brigette, her young family, and the lives of nearly 600 Australians. Her journey began under extraordinary circumstances—two days after giving birth during the onset of the pandemic, Brigette found herself in the ICU, recovering from a traumatic birthing experience while simultaneously supporting James through 26 legal hearings. The struggle resulted in losing their family home and enduring significant personal and professional setbacks. Despite these hardships, Brigette's resilience has driven her to speak out and assist others in similar predicaments. Brigette is committed to creating a foundation to provide litigation funding and support for individuals battling injustices. She aims to offer a platform for people to share their stories and find solidarity in their experiences. In addition to her advocacy work, Brigette is passionate about holistic healing modalities. She has explored and benefited from practices such as breath work, meditation, kinesiology, and Reiki to overcome trauma and stress. Through her journey, she has discovered the power of internal healing and now wishes to educate others on these methods.Episode TopicsHow did you specifically cultivate mental resilience during such an intense social justice pursuit, when the stakes were so high? Can you share an experience where a mental barrier (like self-doubt, fear, or hopelessness) felt particularly overwhelming, and what immediate, in-the-moment strategies you used to overcome it?How did your experiences with adversity fundamentally shift your perspective on personal strength and the human capacity for endurance? You've leveraged meditation, Reiki, and other holistic healing modalities to transcend adversity. For listeners who might be new to these practices, where would you recommend they start to begin building their inner strength? Can you describe how integrating mind, body, and spirit through these practices creates a different kind of resilience compared to purely mental fortitude? Was there a specific holistic practice that felt most impactful for you during your most challenging times, and what made it so powerful? How do you continue to weave these holistic practices into your daily life now, beyond times of crisis, to maintain your well-being?How To Connect w| BrigetteWebsiteLinkedIn  The Growth METHOD. Nitric oxide—essential for human health—surges with therapeutic vibration, improving blood flow, reducing inflammation, and activating natural healing mechanisms. The vibrational frequencies, especially when administered to key skeletal points, shift heart rate variability, a major marker of stress resilience and physiological wellness. Brainwave entrainment transitions you out of cognitive overload (beta) into alpha and theta for relaxation, creative clarity, and optimal neural integration. Musical intervals like the Perfect Fifth stimulate endocrine signaling, igniting endogenous opiate and cannabinoid release for profound nervous system recalibration.Real-World Benefits• Increases nitric oxide, supporting vascular health and cellular repair• Improves heart rate variability and autonomic balance• Guides brainwaves into deeply restorative states for clarity and creativity• Decreases stress, cognitive fatigue, and symptoms of burnout• Enhances emotional regulation, vagal tone, and high-quality sleep• May counteract cognitive decline by restoring healthy neural oscillationsUsage Guide• Frequency: Practice 15–30 minute sessions, 1–2 times daily, for ongoing cognitive restoration• Equipment: Use quality headphones or speakers for optimal delivery• Environment: Choose quiet, low-EMF spaces to maximize impact• Best Results: Consistent practice over 4–6 weeks for durable neural and epigenetic benefits• Hydration: Increase water intake to enhance cellular and frequency responsivenessNeural Biotuning is not generic meditation audio—it's evidence-based frequency medicine for the modern brain. Some stories shimmer at the surface; others reveal their depth only when you listen closely. Kellie Hush's journey through Australian fashion has been anything but linear – from Canberra schoolgirl to magazine editor, retail founder, and now CEO of Australian Fashion Week 2025. She's seen the glamour, the grind, and the grit behind an industry built on reinvention. In this episode, Kellie opens up about the power of resilience, the lessons hidden in failure, and the optimism that has carried her through every chapter.   Key Highlights ~ From outlier to insider. Growing up in Canberra, Kellie never quite fit in – a creative misfit who turned her difference into drive. That independence shaped her ambition and built the resilience that would define her leadership. ~ The making of a media powerhouse. From Who Weekly to InStyle to Harper's Bazaar, Kellie built a career at the center of Australian fashion publishing, leading with clarity, curiosity, and commercial instinct during the golden era of magazines. ~ The humbling fall – and the rebuild. After leaving media to start her own accessories business, Kellie faced betrayal, burnout, and humiliation. What looked like failure became the turning point that redefined her sense of self and strength. ~ Reinvention through connection. Guided by mentors like Carla Zampatti and surrounded by a network she'd built with care, Kellie rebuilt her career as a consultant, eventually joining The Volte – a world-first fashion rental platform reshaping the circular economy. ~ Leadership with optimism. As CEO of Australian Fashion Week 2025, Kellie champions purpose over perfection. Her focus: celebrating Australian design, supporting emerging talent, and proving that optimism isn't naivety – it's discipline. Kellie Hush reminds us that leadership isn't about never falling. It's about knowing when to stand back up, what to carry forward, and what to leave behind. Her story is a testament to clarity through chaos – and the quiet power of backing yourself when no one else does.   Connect with Kellie Hush: LinkedIn  Connect with The Volte: LinkedIn | Website | Instagram  This episode is brought to you by: Flagship Connect with Kirsty Gee:  LinkedIn |  Instagram | Website

Bigfoot KillersIn a secretive US military company of 110 elite special forces soldiers—divided into 10 teams of riflemen, snipers, and K9 units—formed under President Lyndon B. Johnson in the 1960s following the Patterson-Gimlin Bigfoot film, the narrator details a half-century of hunting North America's deadliest cryptids. Evolving from Project Blue Book researchers to hardened operators after confirming the threats of "things that go bump in the night," the unit conducts covert missions across the continental US (and occasionally abroad) to eliminate hostiles like Bigfoot, Dogmen, and even extraterrestrials while rescuing civilians. Supported by on-site scientists and advanced IT/satellite guidance, they've eliminated over 200 Bigfoots and several Dogmen in the past two decades, often capturing specimens alive for transport to undisclosed sites. Key missions highlight the perils:Texas Ranch Raid: A full-company op targeted an injured rogue male Bigfoot slaughtering cattle; snipers downed it effortlessly, revealing a broken leg likely from trauma, before airlifting the carcass.New Mexico Grey Encounter: Responding to harassment of an official, the team cornered a elusive, mind-manipulating Grey alien on secluded land. Firearms failed against its elastic, cartilaginous body; hand-to-hand combat with knives finally severed its head, bagging the hairless, putty-like corpse for extraction—the narrator's most dreaded foe.Michigan Dogman Hunt (2018): All units mobilized after a high-ranking officer's relative was eviscerated, uncovering two more hunter victims. Guided by IT to funnel the demonic-seeming, near-unstoppable beast into a kill zone, the team unleashed overwhelming firepower, defying orders to capture it alive.Kentucky-Indiana Bigfoot Jamboree (2020): Amid a missing boy in Land Between the Lakes and sightings near Mammoth Cave (where some escaped underground), nine more Bigfoots were herded via IT to a wildlife area. The unit orchestrated inter-group battles, using claymores and gunfire to eliminate most, pursuing a lone escapee into Shawnee National Forest over three days. The narrator shares cryptid insights: Bigfoots form protective family groups (harmless unless provoked), but rogue male packs pose the greatest threat, exhibiting tree-climbing agility, human influence, and brutal kills (e.g., impaling a hunter 20 feet up, blamed on a "tree stand fall"). Juveniles occasionally abduct children out of curiosity, while injured elders turn predatory. Dogmen, by contrast, evoke supernatural dread with their resilience and savagery. As the company faces deployment to Europe—amid rumors of new threats—the soldier pens this from a library during weekend leave, reaffirming his oath to defend against domestic and foreign horrors. He vows to share European tales if he returns intact.Join my Supporters Club for $4.99 per month for exclusive stories:https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/what-if-it-s-true-podcast--5445587/support

Let us know what you enjoy about the show!Heavy week, full schedule, and that quiet tug of guilt for needing a break? Let's trade performance for presence. We slow down together with gentle breath cues, simple body awareness, and a compassionate question that cuts through noise: what do I need right now? No fixing, no penance—just a soft return to yourself that steadies your nervous system and brings your energy back online. We start by loosening the body's armor—dropping the shoulders, unclenching the jaw, softening the belly—so the mind can hear what the heart is saying. From there, we reframe guilt as a signal of strong values rather than proof of failure. If old stories are running the show—be useful, don't rest, keep everyone happy—we offer fresh permissions: I am allowed to be human. I am allowed to listen to my body. I am allowed to begin again. These mantras land with the breath, creating room for clarity.A simple visualization anchors the reset: imagine your energy as a shaken snow globe. Thoughts and feelings swirl, then, with slow breathing, they settle. You don't have to make up for anything or fix everything; the body knows how to rebalance when given space. To close, we choose one nourishing action—water, a walk, silence, a boundary, or a steady breath—and let that be enough. Hand to heart or belly, we seal the practice with a quiet truth: I always have myself to come back to.If this practice brought you ease, subscribe for more guided resets, share it with a friend who needs gentleness today, and leave a quick review to help others find these moments of calm.If you are enjoying the show please subscribe, share and review! Sean Fargo guides a grounded mindfulness meditation and explores how gentle awareness helps us return from rumination, meet difficult emotions, and carry presence into daily life. If your mind keeps sprinting ahead or replaying the past, this conversation offers a practical way home. We open with a gentle guided practice to help you feel the room, find your seat, and meet your breath without force, then expand into a clear map of how mindfulness works—and how it differs from concentration and visualization. The aim isn't to chase calm; it's to contact what's true right now with honesty, softness, and a touch of courage. We break down the core moves that make mindfulness usable in daily life: noticing when you've slipped into rumination, shifting attention to physical anchors like feet, hands, and breath, and using simple self-soothing gestures to remind the nervous system that it's safe to settle. You'll hear why numbing with food, alcohol, or screens feels tempting and how it quietly shrinks awareness. Instead, we practice naming unpleasantness without judgment and letting acceptance open the door to movement, choice, and care. Along the way, we talk posture, micro-movements, and the subtle cues that reveal where you're bracing and where you can soften.Join us, practice with us, and if this resonated, subscribe, share it with a friend who could use a mindful reset, and leave a quick review so more people can find the show. 824 Peace on Earth, A Guided Christian Meditation on Luke 2:13-15 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in  and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ.  Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization.  You can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tense or unrelaxing.  If you feel comfortable to do so, I invite you to close your eyes.   Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation:   Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate,  deflate. Scripture for Meditation KJV 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, 14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men. 15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. ESV 13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, 14 "Glory to God in the highest,     and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!" 15 When the angels went away from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, "Let us go over to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us." Reflection on Scripture: Jesus is the source of Peace on Earth. Peace to all people with whom the Lord is pleased and the Lord is pleased with those who receive Him. There can be peace in your life as you please the Lord. Through His love and Grace you please Him. Abide in that love. Live in that Love. Do everything you do in the name of that Love, the Godly agape love that causes the Lord to be pleased with us. Every thought should be moderated by that undying love that causes the Peace of the Lord to descend on us. I cannot imagine the thrill that these shepherds experienced. As they had a message of God's glory both preached but also shown unto them. When they heard this and saw the glory of the heavenly hosts, the wanted to share it. When we are loved in such a profound and deep way that transforms us, we should equally want to share that love. Do we receive of God's abundant love and then turn to the world in spite and disinterest? Do we hold grudges? Do we hate? Or are we inspired by the Love of God that brings peace to our lives to be able to let those human weaknesses go? At a time of year when people gather together, undoubtedly there are good and bad memories remembered but also created. My hope is that God's message of love breaks through our human experience and fills us with peace, and that this peace is poured out to everyone we know. Jesus said people could know his followers by their fruits ye shall know them. Do we live in the fruit of God's grace?  Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life: This is a listener funded podcast at patreon.com/christianmeditationpodcast Final Question: If you consider the invitation and command to persevere in the faith, what change in your life does that bring to your mind?  FIND ME ON: Download my free app: Recenter with Christ Website - ChristianMeditationPodcast.com Voicemail - (602) 888-3795 Email: jared@christianmeditationpodcast.com Apple Podcasts - Christian Meditation Podcast Facebook.com/christianmeditationpodcast Youtube.com/christianmeditaitonpodcast Twitter - @ChristianMedPod

As a college student and weaver, Amy Oxford fell in love with the punch-needle method of rug hooking almost by accident, a surprising benefit from a babysitting gig. She followed her interest from doing piece work on existing designs to creating large commissioned rugs in her own business. In 1995, she started the Oxford Company to sell supplies and education for punch needle crafters worldwide. The basic techniques of punch needle are straightforward enough to teach in a few minutes, but the opportunities for creativity in line, texture, and color have kept Amy enthralled for 40 years. After completing several large commissioned works, she found herself with repetitive strain injuries in her hand and arm, and she began dreaming of a tool that would let her work pain-free. Partnering with a woodworker and inventor, she developed the Oxford Punch Needle, a groundbreaking wooden-handled tool with a curved grip that's comfortable to push and pull through fabric. Along with manufacturing her own tool and selling hand-dyed yarn and supplies, Amy expanded her reach by teaching the technique, then opening a school that certifies instructors in her methods. Amy has also authored a number of books, most recently Intermediate & Advanced Punch Needle Rug Hooking: Techniques, Projects, and Inspirations with co-author Louise Kulp. Since selling her company in 2024, Amy has returned to punch needle just for the joy of it. “I can just make whatever I want and not have to tell anyone how I've done it,” she says. “I can just play, which is what my students have gotten to do. . . . And so I'm having a lot of fun now punching just for this sheer pleasure of it.” Links The Oxford Company website (https://amyoxford.com/) The Oxford Rug Hooking School (https://amyoxford.com/pages/oxford-rug-hooking-school) Oxford Punch Needle Handbook (https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1085/1826/files/Oxford_Punch_Needle_Handbook.pdf?v=1729862800) Amy Oxford's books are published by Schiffer Craft. Mike Schaedel is the Western Montana Forest Restoration Director for The Nature Conservancy, where he leads some of the most ambitious and collaborative forest restoration work happening anywhere in the West. Based in Missoula, Mike works at the intersection of science, community partnerships, and land stewardship—helping restore fire-adapted forests, reduce wildfire risk, and improve the health and resilience of landscapes across the region. Mike's career path is super interesting and anything but traditional. He grew up in Portland, fell in love with the mountains through rock climbing, and eventually landed in Missoula, where the combination of wild landscapes and a rich literary community drew him in. After earning an undergraduate degree in creative writing, he found his way into forestry and fire ecology through conservation corps work, hands-on restoration experience, and a graduate program focused on forest dynamics and fire. In this conversation, Mike offers a clear overview of how Western Montana's forests came to look the way they do today—shaped by millennia of tribal burning, transformed by railroad-era land grants and industrial logging, and altered further by a century of fire suppression. He explains why effective restoration now depends on combining mechanical thinning with prescribed fire and on working across ownership boundaries with partners ranging from local communities to tribes and federal agencies. We also discuss some of the innovative collaborative efforts underway in the region, as well as a memorable story of a prescribed burn that came together through quick problem-solving and deep trust. This is a rich, informative, and hopeful conversation about what it takes to restore forests at scale—and why the future of these landscapes depends on both ecological understanding and strong community partnerships. November is Native American Heritage Month, and in the lead-in to this week's convo, I speak about the whitewashing of U.S. history, not to be a Thanksgiving buzzkill (sorry, not sorry), but because truth matters. Then I invite listeners into a conversation that explores the critical differences between Western and Indigenous perspectives on leadership. My guest, Wyatt Kelly, is a young Apache leader, public policy manager, and self-described ‘yelder.' Wyatt opens up about his experiences growing up as an urban Native, then shares about his work in public policy and community health. I ask him how his leadership style runs counter to conventional colonialist models, and he shares stories about uplifting Native communities, sponsoring youth initiatives, and fostering meaningful everyday connections. Our conversation highlights the significance of storytelling, intergenerational knowledge, and empathy in leadership. We wrap with a call to action to support Native organizations, uplift Indigenous voices, and make way for leadership approaches that have cross-cultural well-being in mind. Wyatt Kelly is a young Apache man, a dedicated advocate, creative, and organizer deeply rooted in community health and well-being. His efforts span across urban and rural Indian Country, where he focuses on equity, healing, and Indigenous self-determination. Whether leading statewide public health initiatives, advising on policy, or contributing to research, Wyatt weaves together traditional knowledge and modern innovation to uplift Native communities. He currently serves as a statewide manager, trusted advisor to the State of California, and collaborator on numerous Native-led projects and initiatives. Guided by the principle of acting for the next seven generations, Wyatt is committed to transforming systems, centering Native voices, and helping build a future rooted in sovereignty, strength, and community well-being.Referenced In This Episode:Yavapai-Apache Nation Remembers Exodus Day (article)Dr. Bernard Navarro — The 7th Generation PodcastCCUIH — California Consortium on Urban Indian HealthSage LaPena — Traditional Native HerbalistSupport the showThe stories and opinions shared in this episode are based on personal experience and are not intended to malign any individual, group, or organization.Join The Deeper Pulse at Patreon for weekly bonus episodes + other exclusive bonus content. In this episode The Remarkable Retail Podcast's co-host Michael LeBlanc's guest is with Lauren Price, Senior Vice President, E-Commerce & Digital Marketing for COS North America discussing her impressive career trajectory and work positioning the H&M-owned brand for growth in a competitive, fast-moving fashion retail landscape.Lauren's career began in the early days of luxury e-commerce at Createthe Group, building first-generation online stores for high-end brands . Her path included consulting with Demandware and L2 (Scott Galloway's firm), leading to her first in-house brand role at J.Crew before joining COS—a globally recognized fashion brand known for exceptional quality, timeless style, and meticulous craftsmanship. At COS, Lauren oversees North American marketing and digital commerce, a key growth market. She explains how COS benefits from the resources of a global parent company while operating with the agility of a smaller regional business. This unique position allows for strategic experimentation while maintaining the brand's commitment to premium quality.A highlight from the conversation is COS's viral marketing moment: a $45 T-shirt compared on TikTok to a $15 Uniqlo tee, with the influencer praising COS's superior quality and construction. This sparked organic buzz and significant new customer acquisition, prompting Lauren's team to launch a targeted influencer gifting campaign. The lesson: seize authentic, organic momentum quickly and amplify it with campaigns that focus on authenticity, craftsmanship, and product education—especially to win over savvy Gen Z shoppers.Lauren also tackles the emerging challenge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), advising brands to prepare product catalogs for AI-driven search while maintaining current SEO performance. She predicts AI search adoption will accelerate faster than previous digital shifts, urging retailers to run both short-term and long-term optimization in parallel. As the discussion turns to holiday planning, Lauren offers several pieces of practical, results-focused advice. Reporting from New York, with a Bitcoin slump at his heels and the Hollywood-launch buzz of Money: A Story of Humanity still in the air, we dive into one of the most important economic questions of 2025: why can America, Ireland, and Britain no longer build the infrastructure that made them great? From the riveted, soot-stained genius of the New York subway to China's ability to throw up a hospital in ten days, we explore a new way of understanding global power: engineers vs. lawyers. Guided by Dan Wang's Breakneck, we trace how China's engineer-run state builds at breakneck speed while lawyer-dominated America litigates itself into paralysis, and how Ireland, with a Dáil stuffed with talkers rather than doers, finds itself in the same boat. We dig into the numbers, the politics, the personalities, and the quiet collapse of Western state capacity. If the people running your country don't know how to build, how can the country itself ever hope to? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
