Rather than telling you what to believe, she invites you to consider where this growing reliance on external technology may ultimately lead.Beginning with the online discussion surrounding Stephen Bartlett and his comments about being unable to perform optimally after drinking wine, Suzie examines the wider pressure to measure, monitor and optimise every aspect of human life. She introduces transhumanism and Rudolf Steiner's concept of the Ahrimanic force, exploring whether merging the human body with technology supports the evolution of the soul or pulls humanity further into materialism and disconnection from its spiritual nature. In this episode, you'll learnWhy optimisation culture has become such a prominent part of the wellness industryWhat transhumanism is and how it proposes enhancing the human body through technologyHow Rudolf Steiner described the Ahrimanic force within his anthroposophical teachingsThe difference between developing your internal technology and outsourcing awareness to external devicesFour questions to help you reflect on technology, embodiment and spiritual sovereigntyFollow Wisdom from the Akasha on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, or subscribe on YouTube, so you never miss an episode. Panic Attack Relief — Mindful Breathing to Calm a Racing Chest | 10-Minute Guided Meditation with the Physiological Sigh Panic attack relief starts with one breath — and this ten-minute guided meditation gives you the fastest one there is. If your breathing has gone high and shallow, if you are trying to take a deep breath and it keeps stopping halfway, this session is built for exactly that moment. Hosted by clinical hypnotherapist and former paramedic Martin Hewlett, today's practice is about mindful breathing and one named technique: the physiological sigh. Two breaths in through the nose, a short sip of air stacked on top, then one long, slow release. It is the quickest way we know of to bring a heart rate down in real time, and it is the breath Martin coached people through on the front line. From there you are guided into stillness beside water at dusk — the setting sun, the ripples and reflections on the lake — while five gentle affirmations settle the nervous system and remind you that a panic attack cannot outlast a long, slow breath out. Whether you are riding out a wave of anxiety right now, managing daily stress, or looking for a breathwork practice you can return to every morning, this is anxiety relief you can carry with you and use anywhere. You are not broken. You are not in danger. Your breathing has simply got ahead of you — and it can be brought back. ⏱️ Time Chapters * 00:00 – Your breathing has got ahead of you* 01:06 – Welcome to Calming Anxiety* 01:25 – Anchored arrives on iOS this Thursday* 01:45 – Instant Calm: your always-on panic attack session* 02:18 – Settling in* 02:32 – The physiological sigh explained* 02:50 – Guided breathing, three rounds* 04:54 – Letting the words land* 05:23 – Today's affirmations* 06:22 – Stillness by the lake at dusk* 06:51 – Affirmations, second pass* 08:08 – Your three daily caring tips* 08:58 – Coming back into the room* 09:37 – Anchored, sharing, and the sign-off

Send us Fan MailWe've been sold a myth: that healing is something someone else delivers to us, and that romantic love is the cure for whatever's broken inside. In this episode, Matilda breaks down why that belief quietly destroys good relationships — and what it actually looks like when an unhealed person is loved: interrogating love instead of receiving it, testing before trusting, mistaking chaos for chemistry, performing instead of showing up, leaving before you can be left.Drawing on patterns that show up again and again in readings — and messages from spirit about the regret people carry over guardedness, not over loving too much — this episode reframes healing not as a prerequisite for love, but as a practice you carry inside it. The episode closes with a guided meditation designed to help you sit with what it feels like to actually let love in.Time Stamps0:00 | Welcome1:30 | The myth we've been sold7:00 | What unhealed love actually looks like15:00 | The spirit perspective — what comes through in readings21:00 | The reframe — healing as practice, not prerequisite22:-- Predictions25:30 | Guided meditation: Receiving Love33:00 CloseYOU TUBE LICENCE ZF3YAIVN2N3DERAVMatilda's LinksLive Show in BendigoMatilda's WebsitePatreonSupport the show
There's a particular kind of quiet you only find near water at night... the frogs starting up their steady croaking, the stillness of the marsh settling in around you. This one leans into that rhythm, using it almost like a heartbeat to slow your breathing and ease you into sleep. It's a bit more repetitive and breath-focused than some of my other sessions, so it's especially good if your mind tends to race at bedtime and needs something steady to hold onto. Best with the lights off, lying down, ready to drift.Sleep well, friend.

Commemorating 50 Years of Women at the Air Force Academy in Necessary TurbulenceToday on Salt Lake Dirt, Kyler speaks with author Eileen Isola about Necessary Turbulence: Fifty Years, One Unbreakable Sisterhood Forged in the Crucible of the Air Force Academy. Written by a team of nine female Air Force Academy graduates to mark the 50th anniversary of women entering military academies, the book draws from 108 individual contributors—spanning from the inaugural class of 1980 to 2026 graduates—to tell the collective story of over 12,000 women. Guided by Maureen Murdock's "heroine's journey" framework, the narrative charts their shared path through four key phases (Crossing, Navigating, Becoming, and Thriving), offering a universal story of resilience, leadership, and institutional transformation. Isola highlighted the project's unique "collective we" narrative voice, which unifies diverse personal accounts—from high-stakes combat and emergency evacuations to survival humor—into a single narrative arc. She reflected on the intense scrutiny and cultural hurdles faced by early classes, emphasizing how their shared oath forged an unbreakable sisterhood. Ultimately, Isola sees the book as an essential blueprint and source of validation for future generations of women entering male-dominated fields. In this one, I walk you down a quiet stone path into a hidden clearing, somewhere just for you, where you can set everything down and finally rest. It's slow and a little dreamlike, best enjoyed lying down with the lights off. If summer nights have always felt peaceful to you, or if you just need to borrow that feeling tonight, I made this one with you in mind.

884 The Field Is Ready To Harvest, A Guided Christian Meditation on John 4:31-35 with the Recenter With Christ app The purpose of this podcast is to help you find more peace in and connect with the true source of peace, Jesus Christ. Outline: Relaxation, Reading, Meditation, Prayer, Contemplation and Visualization. You can sit comfortably and uninterrupted for about 20 minutes. You should hopefully not be driving or anything tense or unrelaxing. If you feel comfortable doing so, I invite you to close your eyes. Guided Relaxation / Guided Meditation: Breathe and direct your thoughts to connecting with God. Let your stomach be a balloon inflate, deflate. Scripture for Meditation John 4 KJV KJV 31 In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. 32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. 35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. NASB 31 Meanwhile the disciples were urging Him, saying, "Rabbi, eat something." 32 But He said to them, "I have food to eat that you do not know about." 33 So the disciples were saying to one another, "No one brought Him anything to eat, did he?" 34 Jesus *said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to accomplish His work. 35 Do you not say, 'There are still four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I tell you, raise your eyes and observe the fields, that they are white for harvest. Reflection on Scripture: Jesus first used water to describe the gospel to the woman and now to his disciples he uses the analogy of food. God's love and word is more eternally satisfying than food and water and we should equally hunger and thirst for it. The disciples struggled to understand as is often the case but he was not only teaching them the value of God's word but also something else. There are times when we work hard for good things and feel as though we dont see the natural results of that hard work. It is also the case at other times you receive blessings beyond what you deserve. This is true in the work of sharing the gospel. Sometimes we pour out our hearts to others about our love for God and what he has done and we plant the seed. Other times we see the tail end of the conversation. The important thing to notice is that the only way we see any part of it, is if we are involved in the work of the field. There are likely people you care for who you wish you could help to come closer to God and to choose Him. Do the best you can with your role with that person. Perhaps you are the seed planter and perhaps you are the harvester. That is not within your control. Ultimately as with sharing the gospel as in all other areas of life, we do not get what we deserve. And praise the grace of a loving God that we dont. I am so very grateful that I dont get what I deserve because I am a flawed and fallen man. My efforts of sharing the gospel and many other things are so flawed, and yet God takes those incomplete and messed up efforts and he perfects them for His purposes. Do the best you can to live what God puts on your heart and then trust the rest to Him. In every case, dont worry, you wont get what you deserve. Many times we see Meditation of Prayer: Pray as directed by the Spirit. Dedicate these moments to the patient waiting, when you feel ready ask God for understanding you desire from Him. Meditation of God and His Glory / Hesychasm: I invite you to sit in silence feeling patient for your own faults and trials. Summarize what insights you have gained during this meditation and meditate and visualize positive change in your life: This is a listener funded podcast at patreon.com/christianmeditationpodcast Final Question: If you consider the invitation and command to persevere in the faith, what change in your life does that bring to your mind? In 1991, Larry Hardy founded the enduring Los Angeles-based label In the Red Records. Guided by Larry's personal taste for raw, "atonal garage music" and sonic extremes, the small operation has cultivated a catalog of over 300 titles, championing underground acts like Ty Segall, the Black Lips, and Jay Reatard. On August 21st, In the Red Records—in partnership with the newly revived Vengeance Records—will release Gravest Gravy by The Cramps. This previously unreleased 12-track album is sourced from the band's October 1977 sessions at Ardent Studios in Memphis, produced by Big Star's Alex Chilton. While those sessions produced early classics like Surfin' Bird and Human Fly, an entire album's worth of material had been shelved and lost to time. Larry recently discovered the original quarter-inch reels in the vault of Cramps guitarist Poison Ivy. Now, with preservation and restoration help from Henry Rollins and Ian MacKaye, these legendary tracks are finally getting their first official release.

(Group Learning Program) - Guided Breathing Mindfulness Meditation and Student QuestionsBreathing Mindfulness Meditation was the primary form of meditation employed by The Buddha to attain Enlightenment. There are many aspects of The Path to Enlightenment that one would need to learn and practice with guidance from a Teacher, however, Breathing Mindfulness Meditation should be among the top priorities for any Practitioner aspiring to attain Enlightenment. The goal of Breathing Mindfulness Meditation is to develop “Right Mindfulness”, “Right Concentration”, and to eliminate the unwholesome root of craving/desire/attachment.All discontentedness is caused by craving/desire/attachment so it is important to train the mind to not have craving/desire/attachment as part of "Developing Your Life Practice”.In this Podcast, David will guide you in a Breathing Mindfulness Meditation session and will accept questions from Students to help you develop your meditation practice and progress forward on The Path to Enlightenment.——-Daily Wisdom - Walking The Path with The BuddhaDedicated to the education of Gotama Buddha's Teachings to attain Enlightenment.https://www.BuddhaDailyWisdom.com(See our website for online learning, courses, and retreats.)Group Learning Program - LIVE Interactive Online Classes, Book, Audiobook, Videos, Podcast and Personal Guidancehttps://mailchi.mp/f958c59262eb/buddhadailywisdomThe Words of The Buddha - Pali Canon in English Study Grouphttps://mailchi.mp/6bb4fdf2b6e0/palicanonstudyprogramFREE Book - Developing a Life Practice: The Path That Leads to Enlightenmenthttps://www.buddhadailywisdom.com/freebuddhabooksFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/DailyWisdom999YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DailyWisdom999Podcast: https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/buddhadailywisdom/Support our efforts to share The Teachings of Gotama Buddha with you and worldwide for all people using this link.https://www.buddhadailywisdom.com/supportbuddha#buddhism #learnbuddhism #enlightenment #dhamma #dharma #buddha #meditation #meditationretreat #meditationcourse
MY HEART TOOK A LEAP - THE POETIC INNOCENCE OF THE SHANGRI-LAS" -RICH BUCKLAND'S EPIPHANY NOTEBOOKLike so many pre teens growing up in the sixites I slept with a transistor radio under my pillow. That receiver was the best friend a 12 year old could possibly have. It told me only what I wanted to hear and unlike the parental tunes regulary dispensed, I could slide the dial to another frequency and change the feel and tempo. 1964 was an extraordinary year for popular music and youthful urges. My wireless companion delivered the sound of pleading voices reciting urgent love calls through the night air. The first feminine intonations that whispered directly to my adolescent hunger ariived through The Supremes in June of that year. I would wait anxiously through the bedtime darkness to hear the DJ conduct another spin of the salvation revealed within a Diana Ross plea requesting an explanation to what would become the eternal question of "Where Did Our Love Go". I was fully captured by the gentle elocution each conflicted tone incited. She was conducting a sorrowful inquest, the meaning of which I was not experienced enough to comprehend and yet fully accepted. It felt like a sensual revolution emanating from the magic of a wireless, spiritual trasmission, but more importantly a glorious awakening having nothing to do with sexual messaging. It was my initiation into the significance of lonliness. And then it became more complex. In August of that same period, a group calling themselves The Shangri-las, dispatched a 45 revelations per second record titled "Remember (Walking In The Sand )" It ignited something dark and dramatic. This was my first migraine heartache and I understood the origin. It was the voice of Mary Weiss, the groups teen vocalist from Queens NY, the very borough I lived in. She was singing a story of such anguish, I just wanted to embrace her and make it better. "Oh, no, Oh no, Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Remember (Walking In The Sand)". The song and it's production were the child of a music business misfit named George "Shadow" Morton" But it was the urgent hurt of Mary Weiss that has lived within me going on 55 years. I recall ruminating, " If this is 12, what the hell will 13 be like." I began to find out when the next Shangri-las recording was released in December. The melancholy of "Remember" surrendered to another George Morton composition sung as only Mary and her partners could. It was called "Give Him A Great Big Kiss" and made me feel better about our fate and the abyss she had us both falling into only four months earlier. Teendom was just around my Queens, NY street corner. Hope and the sound of rock and roll transmitted by Murray The K, wrestled with the gusty winds which flowed beneath the Throgs Neck Bridge where my friends and I spent long summer days.In retrospect Mary Weiss was my first true infatuation. The emotions were real, especially for a kid who cried over Jackie Wilsons "Lonely Teardrops" at age 7. Rock and Rhythm and Blues produced awakenings and sensations with no age restrictions. After 4 marriages I still have similar questions posed by The Shangri-las and The Supremes . I owe a great debt to those remarkable women and their sacred voices. If we are fortunate, the eternal flame of yearning begs new understanding with each sunrise. Just give the one you love a Great Big Kiss and always Remember. Always.

Authenticity is the north node, not the south. Most people have this backwards, and it's why the self that feels most familiar is so often the one they've already completed. In this episode, Ashley looks at where you're still operating as a past version of yourself, and why intuition gets stronger as layers of identity and ego come off. You're not developing a new skill. You're removing what was covering it. She also tells the story of the bats: a humane trap set for what she was certain was a mouse, a quiet knowing that there were babies inside, and the maternity colony she found roosting in the beams. She knew. She didn't trust it. ------- join the live authentic challenge live inside GUIDED + use PODCAST for 15% off first month the middle space on substack ask ashley a question here (a voicenote for a podcast feature) join ashley's akashic session waitlist receive a free 'regulate' line activation subscribe to our newsletter download the a line within app for iOS download the a line within app for android how to do the line activation follow on instagram @alnwithin
