Today on The Indo Daily we're bringing you an episode from our sister podcast Money Talks, all about how winning the National Lottery can be life-changing in perhaps unexpected ways... Congratulations, you've won the Lotto. Now, what exactly do you do next? One of the most important things a new winner will do is sit down and speak with a financial planner to guide them through the process – after all, the life they knew is forever changed. One such planner is Eoin McGee, founder of Prosperous Financial Services, who visits the Money Talks studio this week to pull back the curtain on the admin of cashing in a golden ticket, and the perhaps unexpected existential pressures that come with it.

The full transcript of this Episode (and excercises for many of the grammar episodes) is available via "Luisa's learn Italian Premium", Premium is no subscription and does not incur any recurring fees. Send us a textNew music lit the fuse this week, and we had thoughts. We dig into Summer Walker's latest drop with honest, replay-tested reactions—from that Brent Faiyaz opener and a standout Lotto verse to Anderson .Paak's gut-punch on 1-800 Heartbreak. Then we pivot to Wale's Everything Is A Lot and give it the respect it earns: an intro that bleeds real life, themes that sit with loss and pressure, and the reminder that consistency matters even when the internet forgets. We keep the spotlight on artists who are building in real time with a genuine plug for J Amari's Off The Bleachers, produced with AYO Chris. Expect specific track love, where to find it fast, and why exceeding expectations is worth celebrating. Then the room gets candid about Kevin Gates' comments on dating younger women—unpacking preference vs. power, how language reveals intent, and why “training” a partner isn't the flex some men think it is.Nostalgia hits hard as we map the B2K and Bow Wow tour like event architects: who should open, who should cool the crowd down, where to drop Nuck If You Buck without starting a mid-show mosh, and which act should close. It's a fun, strategic walk through the 2000s catalog that holds its own today. The tone sharpens again as we talk Nicki Minaj speaking at the UN about religious persecution in Nigeria, why credibility and context matter, and how politics collide with fandom. We ask hard questions about platforms, consistency, and whether “canceling” without nuance helps anyone.FOLLOW. SUBSCRIBE. SHARE. A long-term US study shows water fluoridation at recommended levels doesn't reduce cognitive ability. The 40-year study found children who drank such water did slightly better in school tests. By 60, that edge was insignificant, but fluoride didn't contribute to cognitive decline. Dentist Justin Wall says this puts this particular argument to bed - but theories about fluoride are bound to continue. "People would probably blame fluoride for mullet haircuts and not getting the Lotto numbers right if they could. But at the end of the day, fluoride is very highly researched." With the 2025 road racing season now firmly in the rear view mirror, join Daniel Friebe and Lionel Birnie for a freewheeling ramble through some of the big stories that have hit the headlines in the past couple of weeks. We start by discussing the fragile nature of survival at World Tour level with the news that the Australian team Jayco-Alula came within days of possibly folding, and the delays to confirmation that two Belgian teams, Lotto and Intermarché, intend to become one. Where does that leave the riders, especially Intermarché's biggest star Biniam Girmay? Then we indulge in a bit of off-season speculation and wonder what Tadej Pogačar's 2026 season might look like, particularly with a number of race organisers making changes seemingly to entice the SlovAlien to ride. The Vuelta a España starting in his adopted home town of Monaco is not a particularly subtle overture and it seem an appealing prospect but, as we discuss, the picture is more complicated than that. Plus, why is he really not saving for retirement and did he buy lottery tickets when he was in California? See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Gas prices are plunging nationwide — the average has dropped six cents in a week to $3.02 per gallon, nearly 14 cents lower than a month ago. Analysts say America could soon see the national average fall below $3 and stay there for the first time in years, driven by oil dipping under $60 a barrel. Some states, including Oklahoma, Texas, and Wisconsin, may even see prices drop below $2 per gallon — a milestone not reached since the pandemic. Meanwhile on the show: giving lottery scratchers as gifts sparks a “finder's fee” debate, Conway jokes about winning the Lotto and filing a restraining order, “Castro & Conway in the Mornings” makes an appearance, and memories of Wonder Pets lead to talk about kids now running the car radio. Weather-wise, forecasters missed big — expecting an inch of rain but getting 3–4, triggering crash warnings and mudslide fears, especially around Sierra Madre's Eaton Fire burn scar where a big rig even ended up dangling off the 118.
Today on the show: Geraint Thomas is entering his bland PR era, Intermarché and Lotto's merger may be on the rocks, and you'd never have guessed it but we're heading down Ayuso alleyway once again.
