Welcome to episode 3 and Happy Summer! ✨
Welcome back to the most anticipated Podcast of the summer!
My world has shifted all because of a mistake...a medical one at that. I thought I had #COVID19 for over a week. To my surprise, I did not have it and I STILL HAVE NO IDEA what kind of sickness I had. I'm annoyed to say the least. I feel many things & I tried to articulate that in this episode. Bear with me as I am still recovering from whatever the hell I have. To be shocked is truly an understatement. I have tried to remain diligent in my quest to stay COVID free but, mistakes happen, right? We can afford to misdiagnose someone and flip their world upside down, right? Yeah, right. Take a listen and let's have a conversation!Connect With Me On:Twitter: @ifeelseenpodInstagram: ifeelseenpodOther inquiries:Email - ifeelseenpod@gmail.com
Hi, Family! I'm back! I'm sorry that I've been gone, but life happened and I needed time to reset and regroup. This episode is dedicated to my loving grandfather, Louis Morris, Jr. He passed away on June 27, 2022. My world has been upside down ever since. This was truly unexpected and even now, I'm at a loss for words. He was great man and I am blessed to have known him. We shared an unconditional love that I will cherish forever. ♥️
On June 24, 2022, the United States Supreme Court overturned a historical ruling that protected the privacy of women. The actual ruling of Roe v. Wade stated that "the Constitution of the United States generally protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose to have an abortion". I invited my friend Andrea to have an open and honest dialogue about this bull$&!*. As a woman (at 11:05pm on June 25, 2022), I feel unimportant, unprotected and controlled. I am outraged and I am angry. **This episode is much longer than normal. In fact, it is completely out of my routine. It is not crisp. The audio is not perfect.** However, I needed you to hear raw, unfiltered emotion coming from the mouths of women. I will always and forever cherish the freedoms that I do have, but right now I feel like my right to privacy is no more. I challenge you all who disagree with this what has just happened to use your voice. Do not lie down and take this ruling as an "end all, be all". We have the power to fight this unacceptable situation.Other topics covered in this episode include:VotingGriswold v. Healing is UGLY! It makes us fearful because as a people, we don't like to be uncomfortable. We like to keep just about all of our routines the same. Because of those things, we stop ourselves from growing. Moving past hurt, pain and trauma takes a strength that we don't know that we have. Until we stop failing the test of healing, we will never know what it means to be free. In this episode, I give you all advice on how to pass the test of healing. I uncover several things in my life that have made me reevaluate what it means to have peace and hope. How do you heal? What are some things that you do to help you cope with a loss? Take a listen and let's have a conversation! ✨
This episode is so special! Black men are pillars of strength and promise in my community. I wanted to talk about what it means to be a man maneuvering through today's society. A Christian man at that. I decided to ask my good friend, Tony, about his journey through life while experiencing everything that this world has to offer (good & bad). We dig deeper into why therapy is important and what it means to disturb their peace. Take a listen and let's have a conversation! **Leave a review to be entered into a drawing. Leaving any situation is hard. Even if you are happy to depart, there was a moment when you second guessed how it would make you and others feel. I am here to tell you to dismiss yourself from anything that no longer serves you. On this episode, I dig deeper into why I left my last relationship. I talk about why it is important to stand your ground and value yourself to a point where leaving can be (almost) easy. **If you are in a situation that you cannot safely leave, please call the following hotline(s):National Domestic Violence Hotline:800-799-7233National Human Trafficking Hotline:1 (888) 373-7888National Alliance on Mental Illness:1-800-950-NAMI National Suicide Prevention Hotline:1-800-273-TALKTake a listen and let's have a conversation! **Leave a review to be entered into a drawing. This episode is all about women's business! We live in a world that puts a time limit on everything. We (women) are always so concerned with what other women are doing. Because of that, we lose sight of our own dreams and goals. We (women) always want to "keep up with the Jones'" when in actuality, we should be our only competition. There are so many people telling women what to do with their eggs/uterus! LEAVE US ALONE! If our eggs/uterus are not bothering you, then why are you mad?! We'll have kids when we're good & ready. If we never become ready, OH WELL. What are some things you do to keep focused? How do you all feel about old white men making laws to control a woman's eggs?
