SHOW 5: We are re-posting one of our favorite episodes from early on because life can be hectic and the guys haven't been able to tape a new show this time. Sorry! This show had been deleted, so it may be new to some new listeners! This is the "construction" episode in which the guys valiantly try to record a show while a full construction crew works on the studio during taping. It's extremely silly and they use this episode in podcast school to illustrate how NOT to do a podcast. Next show will be brand new!
SHOW 24: Win a copy of Corey Feldman's exclusive Record Store Day single "Go 4 It" featuring Snoop Dogg! This single was released on April 22 (Record Store Day) with a limited pressing of 1000. And we have one to give away! How can you win? Listen to the show to find out! Also, the guys discuss records and a few other things like not putting your coffee on the expensive equipment in the studio (Duh!). Enjoy!
SHOW 23: This is a re-run of Show 7, which has not been available on iTunes or SoundCloud for quite a while. It's one of our favorite shows and we refer to it as "The Christopher Walken" episode. And if you haven't heard it, you'll hear why we call it that.
SHOW 22: A review of the Jordan Peele film Get Out, a Jamisance Update, a critique of our radio drama by friend and listener Roger Martin, and instructions on how YOU (yes YOU) can get your beautiful voice on our beautiful show. Our theme music is by French artist Chenard and the Sand. The song is called Butterflying and we are using it through a Creative Commons license. We found the piece here: http://www.freesamplezone.org/fsz048.htm and here: https://archive.org/details/fsz048 Chenard Walcker is a French samplecore artist layering large slabs of pop music, obscure funk, soundtracks, etc. The site offers many albums worth of material as free downloads, as an anti-copyright stance. He also publishes the Free Sample Zone, which is all his material under several monikers, and mostly overlaps the releases under the first link. Sound effects for this episode are used under a Creative Commons license from the following geniuses: Woo 1 by UncleSigmund https://www.freesound.org/people/UncleSigmund/
SHOW 21: In a new Jamisance Update, there is news about a new role in a film, a plug for Corey Feldman’s live shows, a plug for Jamison’s wife Hanny Newlander’s one-woman show, and news about a Lost Boys gig in Liverpool! Oh yeah, there’s also news about a Lost Boys musical! Totally fun stuff. AND, a chat bot almost takes over the show. Our theme music is by French artist Chenard and the Sand. The song is called Butterflying and we are using it through a Creative Commons license. We would love to hear from the artist to have his opinion on the use of his music. SHOW 20: Jamison and Other Guy discuss a movie boycott of A Dog’s Purpose before they present episode 4 of Clive Bean, Private Detective (Investigator?). Enjoy. Your feedback on the drama and the show in general helps us to decide if we should keep doing this stuff. What do you like? What don’t you like? Let us know! Carr's latest project is a radio play called "To Sean With Love" about the great Irish set designer Sean Kenny. The guys discuss that and Ronan's film Coolockland, which is a sort of Irish China Town. In the second half of the show, Ronan puts on his Quiz Master hat to test the wits of the guys. SHOW 13: Our second guest ever on the show! The guys have a great chat with Ilyana Kadushin. Multitalented performing/recording artist, including the narrator for Twilight audio books. She's also a self described "podcast junkie" and hosts her own podcast "No. I know." Bonus: Other Guy faces down his fear of the number 13. And some other stuff. If you have any questions, please call Jamison directly on his cell phone at..... just kidding, we're not giving out his cell phone number. Not today anyway. SHOW 12: Did someone say RADIO DRAMA? In this episode we offer the first installment of the noir-ish "Clive Bean, Private Investigator in: Enter the Darkness". We hope you enjoy it. Also, Jamison gives Corey Feldman a tip of the hat for his recent TV appearance. Jamison gives us a quick Jamisance Update with a convention announcement. Other Guy has absolutely nothing to announce except apologies to Buffalo Thunder and Doc Severinsen (who is, in fact, not in retirement). This show is under 13 minutes long, so be like the cool kids and give it a listen.
SHOW 11: We have our first guest on the show: Brian Herzlinger. Jamison and Other Guy have a surprisingly deep convo with rising film director, former Tonight Show correspondent, friend and My Date With Drew auteur Brian Herzlinger. Topics include his experience directing/writing his movies including Meet My Valentine and Otherwise Engaged (which "stars" Jamison Newlander as Jacques the French Waiter).
SHOW 10: "I know, right?" Jamison discusses the exciting prospect of a Lost Boys TV series as planned by Rob Thomas (of Matchbox 20). More leftover voicemail messages. The sounds of a German Shepherd chewing. The promise of a guest on the next show (who could it be?). Also, can you guess who does the voice in the Jamisance Jingle?
SHOW 9: This is the big Intervention episode! After a quick Jamisance update, Other Guy confronts Jamison about his serious Twitter addiction. Also, various voice-mails that are left on the answering machine in the studio.
SHOW 8: A slightly shorter than normal show due to Jamison's busy schedule. Jamison explains his busy schedule and the guys introduce a new jingle for the Jamisance Update (jingle is copyrighted, so don't even think about stealing it). The guys hint at a future change to the show.
