Gain cosmic wisdom and discover a roadmap to regenerative and evolving leadership. Through thought-provoking discussions, clips of over 20 conversations, Zen engages guests to share their insights on self-discovery, accountability, and the journey towards a sustainable, harmonious world. Tune in and take part in this transformative exploration of human potential and unity. We are all relatives; we all come from the same Source. Whether we agree on the name or not, we're one planet, one people. This is our opportunity to step up and demonstrate intelligence in unity. Today, science has bridged the gap with spirituality, and what quantum physics, quantum mechanics, and Quantum Sciences are beginning to reveal is what Vedantic philosophy has held all along: we are all energy, emanating from the same Source. Each of us is a divine thread, incarnate, with the capacity to be gods and goddesses through the Consciousness we embody. We face challenges in understanding our purpose, often constrained by societal and organizational structures, whether corporate or religious. With a vision of “One World,” we can share the responsibility that brings each of us to a level of personal accountability. Rather than calling this a New Age, we might better call it the “Age of Accountability”—a time to be responsible for what we do and how we act. Welcome to "One World in a New World," where ambition meets innovation in co-creating a new normal. Here, we explore the “thoughtmosphere,” embark on a transformative journey of self-discovery, and embrace harmony—with ourselves, with others, and with Mother Earth. Zen Benefiel skillfully guides these conversations, revealing personal journeys and perspectives through enlightening “apocalyptic chats,” inspiring listeners to seek knowledge and wisdom in their own lives. He breaks down how organizations can keep up with the dynamism and complexity of it all: the evolution of strategy across the decades, digital transformation, decentralization's impact, and the latest frontier, the rapid adoption of AI and LLMs. He challenges traditional approaches to strategy and impact measurement metrics like OKRs, stating, “Strategy is what you do, not what you say." In this candid conversation, he also dispels the angst surrounding AI taking over strategy roles in organizations, highlighting why AI and LLMs are valuable for rapidly synthesizing information but lack the capacity for generating unique, strategic insights that require human judgment and creativity. Join us for this conversation filled with insights. Known for his practical approach, Roger Martin—who's authored many bestselling books, including “Playing to Win”—has guided thousands worldwide to make clear, actionable choices that drive competitive advantage. He argues that teams should be able to challenge ideas and push boundaries, all of which are vital for sparking real innovation. Key Highlights

Knowledge of myriad dosage forms and therapeutic classes, as well as regulatory environments and payer systems. Check out the latest episode of our Conversational Selling podcast to learn more about Roger. In this episode, Nancy and Roger discuss the following:The definition of high-impact communicationThe difference between persuasion, influence, and manipulation in salesThe importance of storytelling in sales, positioning the customer as the heroThe value of continual learning and personal investment versus traditional financial investmentsKeypoints from Roger's book, An Insider's Guide to BusinessKey Takeaways: The best way for a salesperson to make an impact in their industry, in the world, and on others is to start with genuinely understanding what their prospect needs.Buying behavior is this: you're telling a story, and the customer is the hero.People will buy from people they like, but more people will buy from people whom they trust to solve their issue."High-impact communication, by my definition, is when two individuals have a complete, thorough, and empathetic understanding of each other's wants and needs. And what do I mean by that? Whether it's a personal relationship, a family relationship, a business relationship, or even a vendor-customer relationship, it's about both sides understanding what each other needs to thrive in that relationship. Too often, especially in today's digital world, communication becomes overly transactional. I love how you started by saying that every business and everything else starts with a human interaction.” – ROGER"I appreciate the question because it will allow me to delineate the difference between persuasion, influence, and manipulation. And they are too often conflated. The consumer conflates them; even salespeople conflate the two when really persuasion and influence are about empathetically trying to understand what your pain point, your issue, your area of opportunity is—something that, you know, you're at point A and you're trying to get to point C, let's say. And then I help through persuasion, and I'm going to persuade you to understand that this problem needs to be acted upon. If you think about it for a long time, if you just keep wondering about it, if you stress about it, you're not going to solve your issue. So I'm going to persuade you that you need to take action. And I'm going to do that through very ethical means and just skillful means, but to help build that bridge—just think of, you know, in your mind, literally building a bridge over a small river from A to C, and my product or solution and support and services will help get you from A to C. Now, manipulation is, "Hey, I want to get you to C because I make a big commission off of it, but you really don't need C, and your A is just fine for you, or another vendor would get you to C a lot easier and cheaper than me. But I'm going to use, you know, tricks and slick lines and all that, you know, to get you there." […] People will always exchange money for a solution to a problem that is causing them pain or a solution to a problem that will help them grow to be even more successful. And too many times—and you know this—too many times a salesperson will boast about their company, they'll boast about their track record, about their service record, about their customer satisfaction record. You know what? Those are great. The customer couldn't care less. The customer wants to know, "Can you solve my problem?" You know, "Can you solve my problem?" – ROGER"I would challenge them to continue learning, listen to Nancy's podcast, you know, buy those $997 courses from genuine, great people that you can trust and who will deliver value. Go to that weekend seminar, invest the two grand to do that because you should be investing in yourself as much as you're investing in your business and investing in the stock market. I mean, the stock market is going to make 8 to 10% over the long run. You put that same two grand into yourself, you can quintuple that money in a year. You know, to me, it's a no-brainer about continual learning." – ROGERConnect with Roger Martin:LinkedIn:https://www.linkedin.com/in/realrogermartin/Thrive More Brands:  https://thrivemorebrands.com/Try Our Proven, 3-Step System, Guaranteeing Accountability and Transparency that Drives RESULTS by clicking on this link: https://oneofakindsales.com/call-center-in-a-box/  Connect with Nancy Calabrese: Twitter:https://twitter.com/oneofakindsalesFacebook:https://www.facebook.com/One-Of-A-Kind-Sales-304978633264832/Website:https://oneofakindsales.comPhone: 908-879-2911 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/ncalabrese/Email: leads@oneofakindsales.com

Peter explains the importance of moving away from traditional planning methods and embracing an agile, emergent approach that focuses on adaptability and real-time guidance. Leadership is Designing Moments of Impact

Today my guests are Lisa Kay Solomon and Chris Ertel, the co-authors of the powerhouse 2014 book Moments of Impact: How to Design Strategic Conversations That Accelerate Change, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year! I devoured this book 10 years ago and I think you might enjoy it, too! Lisa Kay Solomon is currently a Designer in Residence at the Stanford d. school, where she teaches classes such as Inventing the Future where students imagine, debate and analyze the 50-year futures of emerging tech, and works closely with the K12 community to make futures thinking a mainstay of 21c core curriculum. She has also been named to the Thinkers50 2022 Radar List and is one of ixDA's Women of Design 2020. Chris Ertel is a managing director of Deloitte Consulting LLP with a specialist role designing and providing high-stakes strategic conversations for clients and priority firm initiatives, in the Deloitte Greenhouse® signature environments. Chris is an innovation strategist with 18 years of experience advising leading organizations. He holds a PhD in demography from UC-Berkeley. We talk about  What it really means to be a facilitative leader, and why it's so impactful. As Lisa and Chris say in MOI: “At these critical moments, everyone will be looking at you, not for all the answers, but to help them unearth the answers together” The Five Core Principles of Moments of Impact, which can form a Design Process 1. Define your purpose  (your design intent!) 2. Engage multiple perspectives (with your facilitation skills!) 3. Frame the issues 4. Set the Scene 5. Make it an experience (even an intense or challenging one!) How designing conversations is different from facilitating them: Lisa makes it clear that Conversation Design is about intent and purpose while Facilitation skills are the tool that helps orchestrate those Moments of Impact. Why Conversation Design isn't taught to leaders but should be (Lisa also tells us why it's so hard to teach, since it brings together strategy, psychology and emotional intelligence) Why Chris always coaches leaders to condense and delete content from their strategic meetings (to 10 slides!) instead of making what communications expert Nancy Duarte calls a “Procument” (something that's neither an easy to use and digest presentation or a leave-behind document!) How crucial discussing decision-making rights are - as Chris suggests many leaders want to keep their options open and wind up creating an “air of democracy without the reality of it”  Why You should start becoming a junkie of learning theories The importance of balancing humor and levity with challenging-ness and sparkiness to create productive environments The importance of knowing that the “yeah buts” will come when we're hosting challenging conversations as in:  yeah, but, that won't work here! or… yeah, but, what will we be able to report next quarter? Or… yeah, but who's budget is going to cover that? And so much more! If you have Moments of Impact that you need to shape, design, and lead and you *don't* have Moments of Impact on your desk - get it!
