This week we review a smaller franchise. The original "The Lost Boys" was released in 1987. It was followed in 2008 and 2010 by two Direct To Home Video offerings-- "The Lost Boys: The Tribe" and "The Lost Boys: The Thirst". While the original was a smash hit, the last two movies did not fare as well. In recent developments, the CW channel and Rob Thomas are working on a pilot for a "Lost Boys" TV series. There's no ETA as of yet but let's hope it's soon. The original film takes place in the fictional town of Santa Clara-- which subs for the IRL city of Santa Cruz. So I've included here "50 Foods You Must Try In Santa Cruz Before You Die". This list reflects both Mexican and seafood influences (since it's a coastal town). And there are some novel entries as well. Photo Credit: Here Music Credits: Here

A little known fact about Gavin Allen and John-Ryan Shea is that we kicked off our friendship at the Sundance Film Festival WAAAAYY back in the year of 2003 at the little known NoDance Film Festival off-shoot. It's where we conceived of our first independent film showcase Brew & View (before we were threatened by some fuckheads in Chicago and were forced to change the name to The Visual UndergroundI). Sundance is foundational to our friendship and that is why it is so amazing to have had the opportunity to come back together in Park City for the last episode of a three-year-long season 1 of Still Cool Right. A huge thanks to Sundance TV and VERB for hosting us and for all the wonderful people who joined a massively drunken after-pod-rty! On this, a very special pod, we talk about the Dick Run Claire, the return of cassettes, the rise of Digi-Sexualism, a Lost Boys TV reboot, and cap it all off with a 97-year-old death metal singer on #StillCoolMusic. This shit is off-the-pod ya'll! Stay Still Cool, Friends XO // JRS & Gav

Aaron here -- after taking a week off my wife, her mother, my baby and I all got hit with the flu, we have returned for Episode 119 of Punch Drunk TV. There's a lot we go over in this episode, including the multiple Fyre Festival docs that hit streaming last week. Before we kick things off, Jack's wife JoEllen poses a question to us and you Clinkers: How would you describe The CW? Because they definitely have their own very specific brand going on. NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: The CW has ordered a musical dramedy spinoff of "Riverdale" titled "Katy Keene." The CW also ordered a "Lost Boys" TV series which will no longer be an anthology series but, as THR says, will be "set in Santa Carla and explores the secret underworld of vampires. After the sudden death of their father, two brothers move to Santa Carla with their mother, who hopes to start anew in the town where she grew up. But the brothers find themselves drawn deeper and deeper into the seductive world of Santa Carla's eternally beautiful and youthful undead." "Queer Eye" will go to Tokyo for four episodes in its next season. The special four-episode installment, titled "Queer Eye: We're in Japan!," will premiere on Netflix after Season 3 of the series drops later this year. Netflix is rebooting "Unsolved Mysteries" from the show's original producers. According to THR, "the new series will follow a similar format to its predecessor, which first aired on NBC in the late 1980s. Each of the 12 episodes will focus on a single mystery — the broadcast version had multiple cases per episode — and like the original, will enlist viewers' help in solving each case." Showtime has bought the rights to a four-part docuseries titled, "Wu-Tang Clan: Of Mics and Men." The first two episodes will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival and then the series will air on the network in the spring. A Fyre Festival-inspired GoFundMe campaign for Bahamian restaurant owner Maryann Rolle has raised more than $100,000 to help her with the debt she went into during the disastrous music event.
