The Living The Story of Jesus podcast is truly a gem in the world of faith-based podcasts. Listening to this podcast has allowed me to grow in my faith and develop a greater understanding of the teachings of Jesus.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is the way in which Rob leads with vulnerability and humility. His approach allows listeners to feel connected and encourages them to explore their own faith journey. Additionally, Rob's ability to navigate the intersection of 21st century culture and Luke's gospel story is masterful. He brings a fresh perspective that resonates with listeners and helps them apply these teachings to their daily lives. Moreover, his emphasis on shaping disciples who passionately use their gifts in following where Jesus leads is inspiring.
On the negative side, one aspect that can be improved upon is the frequency of episode releases. While I understand that producing quality content takes time, as a listener, I find myself eagerly waiting for new episodes. However, this minor flaw does not detract from the overall value that this podcast provides.
In conclusion, The Living The Story of Jesus podcast is an absolute blessing for anyone seeking to deepen their understanding of the life and teachings of Jesus. Rob's well-learned perspective and engaging teaching style invite listeners to become active participants in this incredible story. This podcast has personally enriched my life by providing greater insight into Jesus' life and sparking a hunger for God's word within me. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a refreshing, deep look into the life of Jesus.

Jesus takes his disciples to an unlikely place and asks them two very important questions. Who do the crowds say I am? Who do you say I am? Both are important. But the second question changed their lives forever. It just might do the same for us today. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/support
Jesus sends out his disciples by stripping away what they think they need in order to give them what they truly need. But not just for themselves. Before meeting Jesus the first disciples never dared to venture to the "other side" of the Sea of Galilee. This is a Jesus who not only loves those on the margins but invites the marginalized to play a vital role in his story. If you find yourself on the margins, this message is for you. If you need courage to go with Jesus to the margins, you just might find it here. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/support

Have you ever noticed what seems to impress Jesus most? Faith. Faith that transcends logic or circumstances. Luke 7 offers us an incredible glimpse of faith from 4 very different perspectives. A Roman centurion. A widow. John the Baptist from his jail cell. And a woman who is simply described as having lived a "sinful life." What do they all have in common? Amazing faith. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/support
For this "flash forward" bonus episode I have written a short fictional monologue to help us enter the story of Jesus from what might strangely feel like both a very different perspective and yet a very familiar one. It is the story of Barabbas. In a continued season of challenge, may you discover hope through a man we know very little about who stood on trial next to Jesus. As you listen, it will be helpful to know that the Hebrew word “bar” means son and “abba” means father. Maybe on a Sunday sunrise Barabbas (son of a father) can help us discover bar Abba (Son of Father God) as the Son rises. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/support
The kingdom ethic that Jesus offers in Luke 6 turns the religious order upside down. What kind of ethic would ask us to love our enemies? To lend to those who can't repay us? To see what we think on the surface is a blessing as actually being a potential "woe." This ethic was shocking then. It is equally shocking today. What would happen if followers of Jesus actually embraced it? Maybe this upside down ethic would help turn the world right-side up. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rob-touchstone/support
