This live audience episode features winemaker Blair Guthrie of Stewart Cellars located in Yountville of Napa Valley in California. We gathered at The Vine Club in Atlanta, GA with 20 Atlanta wine professionals and friends of the wine industry thanks to Aaron Cooper of @trickingoffainteasy who conspired with Blair to create a memorable weekend showcasing the entire portfolio of Stewart wines around Atlanta. Aaron even surprised all of the guests with a luxury spread of delicious food at the end of the recording thanks to friends at Bovino After Dark, and essentially this turned into a pretty epic evening of wine-ing and dining with incredible people. You'll hear a little bit about Blair's upbringing in New Zealand, playing rugby, basketball, and cricket, while pursuing an interest in graphic design. He says that the skills he developed in those areas do contribute to his skills as a winemaker today with what he describes as an athlete's competitiveness, a creative eye, and an artist's enthusiasm for winemaking. He takes us back to stories from 2009 when we worked as a harvest intern at Paul Hobb's Crossbarn in California, where he met his wife, Caroline Stewart. They now are running Stewart Cellars together, a multi-generational, family-owned and operated winery that has been producing premium-quality wines since its inception in 2000. We talk about their farming practices and philosophies as we taste through the wines with the audience, and we even open it up for a live Q&A at the end of the episode. Thank you to Aaron and Blair for dreaming this up, thank you Taylor at The Vine Club for hosting us, and thanks to everyone who joined us for this pretty epic evening celebrating the wine community in Atlanta. You can visit www.stewartcellars.com to learn more about these wines and follow @stewartcellars and @guthriefamilywines on Instagram.Recorded April 25, 2025-----------------Our presenting sponsor for May is The Monticello Wine Trail in Virginia. SYNOPSIS:This is a recording of one of our free, live Eventbrite sessions, where Ali Mezey was joined by Jane Peterson, PhD - and you, our audience - for a live, honest, body-centered conversation about the real work of being in relationship.(Yes, this episode includes live audience questions!)Together, we explore how our bodies carry old relational patterns - what Jane calls the "social soma" - and how these hidden imprints can shape the way we love, fight, and stay (or don't stay) connected. We talk about why love alone isn't always enough to align two people's lives, and why asking deeper, more honest questions early on matters so much.Jane shares practical ways to stay close even when life pulls you in different directions: evolving agreements, repairing after hurt, setting shared goals, and building intimacy that grows with you.We touch on marriage, infidelity, and non-traditional relationships with honesty and warmth, offering grounded advice for navigating real-world love.Whether you're partnered, single, or somewhere in between, this conversation will leave you with new ways to understand yourself, your relationships, and the deep intelligence of your body in all of it.To be an angel to the podcast, click hereTo read more about the podcast, click hereMORE ALI MEZEY:Website: www.alimezey.comPersonal Geometry® and the Magic of Mat Work Course information:www.alimezey.com/personal-geometry-foundationsTransgenerational Healing Films: www.constellationarts.comMORE JANE PETERSON:Website: www.human-systems-institute.comContact: humansystemsinstitute@gmail.comBIO:Jane Peterson, PhD, is the co-founder and executive director of the Human Systems Institute, Inc. Episode #248…Anson Frericks, Last Call for Bud Light! For most of the 11 years Anson Frericks was a top executive at Anheuser-Busch InBev, its biggest brand, Bud Light, was America's best-selling beer. Its marketing was aimed at guys who, no matter their politics, just wanted a cold beer and a good time. But like many companies, AB InBev changed in the wake of George Floyd's death and the start of the pandemic. In a word, the company became “woke,” emphasizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and other social goals over profits and sales. The culmination of this shift took place April 1, 2023, when it launched a social media campaign starring transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney. The customer boycott that followed cost Bud Light its spot as the country's most popular beer, a position it may never regain. As an AB InBev exec, Frericks had an insider's knowledge of the debacle that unfolded. We talk to Anson about his new book, Last Call for Bud Light: The Fall and Future of America's Favorite Beer, he offers a cautionary tale of putting politics before profits. Enjoy! How should we give criticism? The Bible says more about the subject than one might think, so we dive into God's word for some answers. For this episode, we decided to record in front of a studio audience for the first time. We LOVED the energy a live audience brings! The last bit of the show this week is a Q&A segment featuring some of our audience members. If you're a long time listener, you may recognize a couple of voices.Other show highlights: Allen tells how NOT to ask for criticism.

At our season kick-off event in Mumbai in mid-January, your Inside Line F1 Podcast hosts Soumil Arora and Kunal Shah were joined by FIA-accredited Formula 1 journalist Abhishek Takle to share early and bold predictions for the 2025 Formula 1 season. On this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, you *will* hear bold predictions for the 10 teams, Formula 1 and of course, the FIA. The most-common and popular bold prediction of our hosts-guest and the engaged audience was "Lewis Hamilton winning a World Championship with Ferrari in 2025", but could Haas become Toyota sooner rather than later? Which Red Bull / Racing Bulls driver get the swap, and who will get the axe? And finally, Franco Colapinto replacing Jack Doohan isn't a "bold" prediction, even if it may happen "early" in the season. Lots of banter, insights and conversations in this loooong episode.

This episode features a live audience conversation at The Oenophile Institute in Smyrna, GA with Laurent Noblet, the Director of Sales for USA & Canada for Henri Bourgeois Estates. He is based in Atlanta, GA but manages sales for three French wineries and one estate in New Zealand. In this current role, he researches and assigns distributors in new markets across the U.S. and is responsible for yearly sales plans, goals, and developing new business. Laurent, however, has been working with wine for 30 years and has held various positions in restaurants, retail, as well as wholsale – in the room we laughed that he basically has had all of our jobs at some point in his career. We talk about how the skills he acquired as a sommelier and working in other customer-facing roles have contributed to his skills in his current role, and he shares his insights about the U.S. market along with advice to all of us looking for ways to make an impact on the wine industry going forward. It was also so much fun to have our friends in the room for this tasting and cheese sampling session - we were joined by Jade Palmer from the forthcoming Madeira Park, Ryan Mullins from Winebow Distributors, and Chelsea Young from The Oenophile Institute. You can visit www.famillebourgeois-sancerre.com/en to learn more about these wines and follow @domainehenribourgeois on social media. Recorded LIVE at The Oenophile Institute on December 16, 2024

This episode features a live audience conversation at The Vine Club in Atlanta with Thibaut Marquis, the North America Export Manager for Maison Louis Jadot. Thibaut is originally from the Loire Valley in France, but he has lived in several countries, including South Africa, Argentina, and Canada, before living in the United States for the past 15 years. He has been working in various Sales Management positions for US wine importers (Terlato Wines' Burgundy division, Wilson Daniels), and international wineries (Familia Torres, Les Dauphins, Jaillance, David Family). He joined Maison Louis Jadot in 2022 and is now based out of New York City. Passionate about the wine industry as a whole, Thibaut has also completed his WSET Diploma, so he brings a wealth of experience but also knowledge to this role that essentially serves as a bridge between the winery in Burgundy and their importers. We enjoyed some incredibly special wines from their vast portfolio during this recording session, and it was a study and showcase of how these wines are so connected to the vineyards. We opened the mic at the end of the show to our guests from the Atlanta wine community, and we explored so many topics that impact all levels of the wine industry. Recorded LIVE at Vine Club on November 19, 2024 sponosored by Kobrand and Tower Beer, Wine & Spirits. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/acorkintheroad/support

This episode features a live audience conversation at The Vine Club in Atlanta with Luke Marquis, the Global Sales Manager for Mollydooker Wines. Luke is the son of Sarah Marquis, the Owner and Chief Winemaker, and he is responsible for the US market as part of the winery's sales team. He is also the real-life "Blue Eyed Boy", which is one of Mollydooker's successful Shiraz labels. His work involves driving sales and building relationships with their customers all around the world. Established in 2005, the name Mollydooker is Aussie slang for a left-handed person, which Luke says is a very fitting choice given their unique practices, their quirky labels, and essentially a left-handed approach to the wine-making journey. You'll hear how they started this brand with only $17 in their pockets, but now, a portion of their proceeds are directed towards supporting communities both locally and internationally through their ‘Sip It Forward' program. As a female-owned business, Mollydooker's passion for empowering women has also led them to their charity called Mercy Multiplied USA, which mentors and creates a safe place for victims of abuse. You can learn more about the Mollydooker porfolio by visiting www.mollydookerwines.com and you can follow their adventures @mollydookerwines on Instagram. Recorded LIVE at Vine Club on October 28, 2024 with generous support from Mollydooker and Winebow. --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/acorkintheroad/support
