Meet Me In The Middle is a podcast by two old friends, Hunter York & Zander Faidley. They talk mostly about sports, but they are liable to wander off topic. With segments like Pod O' Beef, "Hey! We Just Watched This!", & Screenshot Rundown, you are sure to get a well rounded education about sports…
With baseball in the rearview and various sorts of football ahead, Hunter and Zander sit back and muse over the important things, like where the Galar regions lies within the world of Pokémon.
All the football is back now! Hunter and Zander cover some bits of NFL and NCAA football. Then, Hunter gives his long-awaited Marvel’s Avengers game review and Zander joins for a lengthy breakdown of The Haunting of Bly Manor. If you listen close, you’ll even get a bit of Pod O’ Beef and some Pokémon […]
On today’s episode, Hunter & Zander chat about the EPL season so far, the NBA Finals taking a ratings hit, a little bit of uninformed MLB talk, and reviews for FIFA 2021 and an indie called “The Witness.”
Guess what? We’re back! No one asked for this, but here we are, and if we’re honest, I’m not sure that anyone actually reads the episode descriptions of any podcast they listen to.
On today’s episode, Hunter requested that all three segments be MMITM Unfiltered and Zander obliged. So, buckle in for this rollicking good time that goes exactly how they planned it: totally unplanned. (It’s still mostly sports, though.)
Well, we absolutely told you about the week we were taking off, so now we are back and ready to go. A lot of football happened while we were away and everything you need to hear about it is in this episode. Then, there’s a Segseg.
You ever get started on something simple and then make it way too complicated? Yeah, that happened in this one. See if you can spot it. In the meantime, Hunter and Zander jumped back into the swing of things with the passion of 1000 suns, so get ready.
What are you all looking for in an episode description? Does it matter to you? Hunter and Zander get off to a rambling start in this one, but eventually ease into NFL, CFP, and wrap it all up with a Segment Segment of Q’s from Youse and a new one, Overrated/Overlooked.
Whew. It has been a bit since the last MMITM. Certainly hoped you realized that FBR has its own feed now. Anyways, NFL football, CFP football, NBA basketball, Ole Miss Appeal, and Random updates, Hunter and Zander are here for it all today.
Whoa. The Colts won? Convincingly? Huh. Well, that and a lot of other stuff happened since our last episode, and Hunter & Zander are here to talk about the stuff they want, which kinda makes it hard to do episode titles.
Things kind of go off the rails in this one. Hunter and Zander hits some rabbit trails you would not see coming if they weren’t in the episode title. Sit back, buckle up, and get ready for whatever they have to throw at you. (Also, NFL Week 7 Picks and a Segment Segment of D’ja […]
Whew. We made it through another international break. They seem to get longer every time. Anyways, since there was no EPL action, the USMNT gets put into the spotlight and Hunter and Zander talk about this break’s national team camp before making their EPL picks.
The title says it all here. With the NBA tipping off on Tuesday night, Hunter and Zander sat down before the ball was tossed to hammer out what the entire season will look like. You might as well not even watch any of the games.
Week 6 is in the book and some teams have already closed the book on their season. Hunter & Zander are here to tell you who’s dead in the water & who still has some life left in them. Also, there were some big College Football shakeups this weekend and bizarre list to dissect.
The president of Liga MX dropped a bomb today. He said that the legacy of the 2026 World Cup, hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico, could be the merging of the nations’ domestic leagues. Hunter and Zander made an emergency recording to discuss.
Well, it’s time for another international break, so get your soccer fix while the getting is good. Hunter and Zander go about their business in this episode and give a comprehensive and encyclopedic recollection of the week that was in English Football.
Ok, so this episode may be a day late, but it is anything but a dollar short. Hunter and Zander come out swinging and don’t back down. That is why they are now included on Spotify. That’s right; MMITM is now on Spotify.
It has been a busy week across all sections of the soccer world. The Carabao, the EPL, and the Champions League all saw action. There’s only one crew who can make all that digestible in only 30 minutes, and it’s Hunter and Zander.
The boys are back in studio! Finally, Hunter & Zander managed to talk about College Football, NFL, and the Indy Eleven in HD again. To top it all off, if you cannot already tell, someone’s brother, a podcast regular now, makes a surprise call-in.
It may seem like Hunter and Zander have been lazy, but that just means you haven’t been listening to the FBRcast. Regardless, the boys are back for another week of crazy NFL action and some other cool happenings of the past week.
One of these days, Zander is going to get his act together and figure out who picked what and how he and Hunter are doing, but that is not today. Tune in to hear the lads break down MD6 of EPL action.
The first matches of the 18/19 Champions League are in the books, and there were some stunners, some thrillers, and some snoozers. Now, Hunter (8-8) and Zander (10-6) are here to lay it all out for you. (Those numbers are how their picks fared, FYI.)
The EPL (and all of European football) is back after their first international break and Hunter & Zander tell you how it all shook out. Then, they go over UCL Match Day 1 action coming to you on Tuesday and Wednesday, revealing their intensely thought-out picks.
Here comes some more picks! Hunter went 10-6 and Zander went 8-8, but his were old picks. That does cause some confusion today, but they make it through the whole week, what happened in fantasy football last week, and hit on Some News Items.
In our first remote recording in a good bit, Hunter sounds like a robot. He & Zander talk about the USMNT friendlies against Brazil & Mexico, which Zander attended as a credentialed member of the media for the MMITM & FBR for the first time. Then, they predict the upcoming EPL slate and cover some […]
Something is back this week, & we all know what it is, so there is no point in wasting your time by saying it. Hunter & Zander chat about it and things get tense. Then, we lighten up with a Segment Segment of Q’s from Youse & Screenshot Rundown.
The NFL kicks off tomorrow and Hunter & Zander have the picks to beat all picks. Then, and it’s definitely not because they couldn’t think of a real topic, they go unfiltered for a few and wrap up the ep with a Segment Segment of Pod O’ Beef & Q’s from Youse.
Aaaaaaaaand just like we all thought, Watford is sitting pretty in third with full points from four matches and United is in tenth. Also, there is some big news around the “offices” here at MMITM/FBR, the USMNT has some key friendlies coming up, and FIFA is giving out an award to someone.
There was so much football this weekend and the NFL hasn’t even started yet. Hunter and Zander tried their best to drink from the fire hose and run through all of the notable things of the weekend, even some of the juicier NFL cuts, trades, and contracts.
The UEFA Champions League Group Stage drawing was today. Hunter and Zander sat down just after the event ended to parse out who has a shot at going through to the Round of 16. (Hint: Red Star is looking pretty shaky.)
So here’s the deal: we tried something and it is what it is. There will be other episodes, but this is the one for today. Hunter and Zander did a live Fantasy Football Draft and covered a few stories in the meantime. Check it out if you want.
Three weeks are in the EPL books and, if you didn’t already know, Liverpool is obviously running away with it. I mean, why even try now? Also, Man United has bailed Arsenal out of the hot seat among the big six by being in total disarray, a bunch of USMNT guys got into action as […]
Don’t be put off by the title, this is a fun ep. Hunter and Zander bounce the conversation all over the place. It was just kinda hard to pick out what the sections were actually supposed to cover. They end up talking about sandwiches and Chick-fil-a in the NBA section. The Seg Seg includes Club […]
Today is one of those days that is kind of hard to encapsulate. Hunter and Zander definitely talk about the things in the episode title, but the route from A to B is anything but straight. Then, they wrap up with a Segment Segment of 5 Rules To Live By: Winging It, Peaks & Lows: […]
Whew. Hunter got steamed in this one, some real hot takes. He and Zander started off by improving the “Deathmatch in the Desert” between Tiger and Phil, checked the AP Top 25, reviewed their trip to a Colts game, and then did a huge Segment Segment of Pod O’ Beef, the new Overrated Opinions, and […]
The boys are deeply sorry about being a day late, but they are back to bring you the sweet, sweet soccer/football content you’ve come to know and love. Match Day 2 brought a few surprises and some great matches. Hunter and Zander are here to break them, some USMNT news, and some boot releases all […]
Today on the pod, Hunter and Zander tackle some intense Q’s from Youse, talk about the Man City doc that just came out on Amazon Prime, and hit up a Seg Seg of Club Irrelevant and a new one, D’ja Hear About This?
Well, Hunter and Zander are on their own now, just like the good ole days of a month ago. They keep things humming with a Screenshot Rundown, a new segment called, MMITM: Unfiltered, and a Segment Segment of VGRPRFYBM, 5 Rules to Live By: Attending a Sporting Event, and Peaks & Lows of Autumn.
Today is Grant’s last day in studio. *collective awww* But Hunter and Zander send him off in style with Q’s from Youse, a “Hey, We Just Watched This!” of Hard Knocks, & a new segment called Hot Debate. (Not totally sold on that last segment title.)
Welcome one and all to the brand new FBRcast – the official soccer/football-only podcast of Football Boot Review! Come and listen to Hunter and Zander break down the week that was in European football, with a particular focus on the EPL.
Zander is finally back from vacation, so the guys can get back to work. They go over some news they missed, let the episode get kidnapped by their impromptu interview guest, and talk some golf, but mostly beef it up in the last segment.
Zander and Grant somehow persevered through another episode without Hunter’s guiding presence. They tackle some Q’s from Youse, grind out some Cinema Rules to Live By, and they explore their Peaks and Lows of eating in and eating out.
Hunter is out sick again, but that doesn’t slow Zander and Grant down. They probably worked too hard on this, but they picked every single game of this NFL season and reveal their results. They basically tell you exactly how the season will go. You might as well not even watch a single game. Spoiler […]
Whoa. Grant got on three episodes in a row? How’d that happen? Whatever. Today, Hunter, Zander, & Grant talked about a nature doc they just watched, break down Super Mario Odyssey, and do a huge Segment Segment with Q’s from Youse, Peaks & Lows: Elementary School, & 5 Rules to Live By: College.
When the hunter is away, the prey will play. Ok. Maybe it’s not as dramatic as that, but Zander & Grant pull off an episode without Hunter today. They do a Screenshot Rundown, Grant interviews Zander, & the two talk about their Peaks and Lows with pets.
Grant’s back! So, that can only mean good things for this ep. Today, Hunter, Zander, & Grant do a Screenshot Rundown, debut a new segment, 5 Rules to Live By, regarding roadtrips, and reveal their Peaks & Lows: This Summer.
In today’s episode, Hunter & Zander break down the news of the day that they deem important, talk about the movie, Ex Machina, and try to predict some of the best and worst things about the upcoming NFL season.
Things are a little slow, news-wise, but that doesn’t stop us! Hunter and Zander talk about the various ongoing contract disputes, possible shoe deals, and waning off-seasons. Then, in the Segment Segment, they hit Pod O’ Beef, Peaks & Lows, and a new segment, Club Irrelevant.
We were joined by one of our writers today! Check in and get to know Grant Brown a little. Then, Hunter and Zander talk about VVitch and have a good ole time with Grant in the Segment Segment. “Pod O’ Beef” and a new segment, “Highs & Valleys,” are included.
There’s a lot of beef in today’s episode as Hunter & Zander wander hither, thither, and yon around the main topics of the episode. Then, they introduce some more variety into the Segment Segment with the inception of the “Q’s from Youse” and “Pod O’ Beef” segments, as well as a VGRPRFYBM.
We are back from our break! Hunter and Zander spend a bunch of time going through what they missed during the past few weeks. Considering the World Cup is almost over, NBA Free Agency has mostly shaken out, and summer has more behind us than ahead, that is a lot of stuff. They also debut […]
