In this episode, Tina Tower dives into the pros and cons of evergreen vs. live launched courses for online business owners. She shares her personal experience, industry benchmarks, and tips for choosing the best strategy for your course business—along with ideas for hybrid approaches that blend the best of both worlds. Key Topics Covered: What is Evergreen vs. Live Launch? Evergreen programs are always available and rely on automated marketing, with the goal of creating consistent, scalable revenue. Live launches are time-bound events with open/close cart periods, featuring high-energy events like webinars or challenges that drive urgency. Pros & Cons of Live Launches Pros: Electric, high-energy atmosphere that boosts conversion. Easier to create urgency (FOMO) and momentum. Great for building community and getting real-time feedback. Higher conversion rates (e.g., 30% for webinars). Ideal for validating new offers. Cons: Time-consuming and emotionally intense. Peaks and valleys in revenue can make forecasting critical. Risk of burnout if launching too often. Requires constant creativity to keep launches fresh. Pros & Cons of Evergreen Pros: Potential for more freedom and consistent, scalable income. Better suited for those who prefer steady, predictable workflows. Excellent for content marketing, SEO, and paid ads. Great once offers are validated and funnels are optimized. Cons: Lower urgency and typically lower conversion rates (often 3–5%). Heavier upfront tech setup and ongoing optimization required. Can feel less connected to your audience without live interaction. Trickier to know exactly where conversions are stalling. Tips & Recommendations Start with live launches to validate offers and really get to know your audience. Move into evergreen after getting a proven program and well-optimized funnel. Consider a hybrid approach: run evergreen all year but add 1–2 live launches or live webinars annually to infuse energy and boost conversions. Know yourself: If you thrive on energy and creativity, live launching may suit you. If you want more consistent, mathematical growth, evergreen could be your path. Tina's Experience & Advice Tina personally prefers a combination—live launches for excitement, validation, and community; evergreen for ongoing sales and freedom. She highlights the importance of revenue forecasting, creative launches, and making sure your system fits your personality and business goals. Encourages early-stage entrepreneurs to embrace frequent live launches for faster growth and refinement. Common Mistakes to Avoid Relying purely on “build it and they will come” for evergreens—marketing is still 80% of the work. Going evergreen before your offer is validated with real students. You don't have to choose just one strategy—curate the combination of live launches and evergreen funnels that aligns with your goals, capacity, and personality for sustainable course business growth. Electricity demand in April dropped to the lowest level since September following a winter period which saw new demand peaks recorded, provisional data from grid operator EirGrid shows. Overall electricity system demand stood at 2,792 GWh (Gigawatt Hours) for April - one of the only months since September where demand fell below the 3,000 GWh mark, alongside February which is a shorter month. For comparison, demand in November, another 30-day month, stood at 3,010 GWh. As forecast in EirGrid's annual Winter Outlook report, electricity demand was strong across this period, with peak demand passing the 6,000 MW (Megawatt) mark for the first time on 8 January during a particularly cold period. Megawatt (MW) values provide snapshots of electricity demand at a particular moment in time, whereas Gigawatt Hours (GWh) reflects electricity use over a longer period. Demand in April Wind power met 27% of electricity demand in April, while solar power provided for 4% of electricity used across the country. Gas was again the single biggest source of electricity generation for the month at 41.5%, and electricity imported via interconnection met 16.5% of demand. Alongside renewables, gas-powered generation and interconnection are important contributors towards meeting system demand, particularly at times of low renewable availability. Diarmaid Gillespie, Director of System Operations at EirGrid, said: "We're seeing the demand profile for electricity change somewhat as the warmer weather and longer days reduces the need for heating and lighting, with electricity demand in April dropping back down below the 3,000 Gigawatt Hour mark following the expected winter peaks in previous months. As we come towards summer we'll continue to rely on a mix of generation sources to maintain a stable supply of power on the electricity grid." Tonight, we'll read from the opening to the 1923 travel memoir Peaks of Shala by Rose Wilder Lane. It is about a walking tour of mountainous Albania. The daughter of writer Laura Ingalls Wilder, Lane was an American journalist, travel writer, novelist, and political theorist. Though she is perhaps best known today for her work editing and shaping her mother's Little House series, Lane led a bold and independent life that took her far from the American frontier. In the early 1920s, she spent time as a foreign correspondent in postwar Europe, traveling through parts of the continent still recovering from World War I. Albania, then newly independent and largely unknown to the Western world, captured her imagination with its dramatic landscapes and fiercely traditional mountain communities. Peaks of Shala recounts her journey on foot through the northern Albanian highlands, a region governed more by ancient tribal codes than by any central government. Her writing blends observation and introspection, offering glimpses of rugged hospitality, isolated customs, and the physical demands of mountain travel. The book remains a rare first-hand account of a Western woman's experience in one of the most remote corners of Europe during a period of great transition. — read by 'N' — Sign up for Snoozecast+ to get expanded, ad-free access by going to snoozecast.com/plus! Have you ever had a great production month followed by an average or even a terrible one? What I mean is, chances are that if you've been in the industry for some time, you may have noticed a pattern when it comes to your gross production—and it's directly related to prospecting. I call this pattern The Peaks and Valleys of Prospecting, which means that most financial advisors and insurance agents experience severe fluctuations in their gross production when they intermittently prospect because inconsistent prospecting leads to gaps in their sales pipeline, making it harder to maintain momentum. Does that sound like you? If so, you're not alone. Many financial advisors, insurance agents, wholesalers, branch managers, and agency managers lack a process for getting off this type of production rollercoaster and need a pipeline flow that can lead them to consistently strong production months. Some professionals experience severe fluctuations throughout their entire careers. As a result, they constantly struggle to reach the next level of success! In this episode, we'll share practical strategies that successful advisors and agents use to get off the production roller coaster. These aren't just theoretical ideas—they're actionable steps you can implement right away to move closer to your business goals.

Just back from Australia, Jay shares his experience of traveling to develop new material despite no upcoming special. As the conversation flows, they explore how the business is shifting, particularly the role of social media management and its influence on the comedy industry. From the ups and downs of married life to the absurdity of fashion choices in snow-covered locations, the two dive into a playful and thoughtful "Peaks and Pits" segment.Tune in for an entertaining and thought-provoking conversation about the intersection of comedy, social media, personal relationships, and the ever-shifting expectations of both comedians and audiences in the digital age.Support the podcast by supporting our sponsors!Support the show and get free salads for 2 months & 50% off yourfirst Green Chef box.
