Up in the sky is the octopus. It’s exactly on the spot where the sun should have been. It’s moving its tentacles and the earth below is trembling and vibrating with the waves sent down. Its eyes are rolling in different directions and the movement of tentacles together with the rolling eyes creates a perfect image of the chaos in the sky. What happens when the sun is replaced by the octopus? — It’s smart… — We’ve made sure it’s under full control… — There’s no chaos, all movements have the specific meaning and purpose… — It’s fully recyclable and the parts are fully replaceable… — Isn’t it amazing?.. — A spectacular hybrid of biology with technology… — It’s AI is far more developed than anything we have ever created… — It’s the shield that brings us the security and peace of mind… — The new era is here finally with the humankind saved and taken care of… — This is the ultimate god, all knowing, all feeling, all mighty, fair and just… — No more imperfections! In octopus we trust!.. As people celebrate and praise the new creation, the octopus reigns in the sky. It’s sending the waves of justice and order down to the earth and its grateful habitats. One kid is drawing his first painting with octopus in the sky and himself and his family on the bottom of the painting. A young woman is writing a poem to her beloved one, where she compares the strength and power of the lover with that of an octopus. A man is sitting with his eyes closed and praying for his family with hands up towards the octopus. An old man is walking in the valley slowly. He looks up to the reigning octopus and sighs. He still remembers the sun. He is the last one. A vibration from the octopus tentacle is reaching him now too. With his hand to his heart the old man kneels down. His name was Soul and he lived in deep, shaded valleys. He was the last person to remember the sun. — Rationality is finally winning! — The world has the order! — People live long and happy lives! — We have eliminated all conflicts! — We are a new generation! — We are all Homo Octopus now!
