"PELICAN PILL" TITLED TRACK NEW SINGLE BY PELICAN PILL ROCK RAYMOND PRODUCTIONS © Copyright rockraymondproductions.com All Rights Reserved. Pelican Pill is a sonic pilgrimage—where classic rock's spiritual backbone meets the raw pulse of modern rebellion. Born from the ashes of forgotten dreams and the wings of restless visionaries, the band crafts anthems that soar, sting, and heal. Their debut single, “Feather and Flame,” channels the urgency of Kansas with a leaner, punchier frame—tight harmonies, thunderous riffs, and lyrics that wrestle with redemption, flight, and fire. It's not nostalgia—it's resurrection. Fronted by a voice that sounds like it's lived a thousand lifetimes and backed by a rhythm section that hits like prophecy, Pelican Pill doesn't just play music—they deliver medicine for the soul. Each track is a dose of truth wrapped in melody, a pill for the dreamers, the wanderers, and the ones who refuse to fall quietly. Whether on stage or in the studio, Pelican Pill is a band that believes in the power of myth, melody, and motion. Their sound is cinematic, their message timeless, and their journey just beginning. lyrics: Woke up in the shadow of a silver tide Dreams like anchors, pulling from the other side Wings clipped by the weight of the world I knew But the sky keeps calling, breaking through (Pre-Chorus) I've been lost in the echo of a long goodbye Now I'm chasing the fire in a pelican's cry (Chorus) Feather and flame, I rise again Burning the past like a medicine Truth in the wind, soul on the run Pelican Pill, I'm not done (Verse 2) Ghosts of glory whisper through the canyon walls Every fall's a lesson, every rise recalls I've seen the light bend, I've felt the sting But I won't trade flight for anything (Pre-Chorus) I've been bound by the silence of a stormy sky Now I'm riding the thunder, wings held high (Chorus) Feather and flame, I rise again Burning the past like a medicine Truth in the wind, soul on the run Pelican Pill, I'm not done (Bridge) Let the waves crash, let the stars spin I'll find my way where the edge begins No more waiting, no more chains I'm the echo that remains (Final Chorus) Feather and flame, I rise again Burning the past like a medicine Truth in the wind, soul on the run Pelican Pill, I've just begun Support us on PayPal!

Forty-year-old lawyer Andrew Feather hit the news headlines recently when he 'beat' Tadej Pogacar in an exhibition handicap uphill cycle race. Even though Feather may not have actually ridden the Pogi challenge faster than the world number 1 (he won by three minutes after getting a six minute head start with the rest of the amateur field), his performance was still staggering given that he is an amateur with all the pressures of a full-time job and a family eating into his time. Feather is arguably one of the most celebrated non-professionals in the world and, as a four-time British Hill Climb champion, has the palmares to prove it. In this interview, Feather shares his insights into training, racing and dropping weight when it matters.Support us on DiscourseAs Gareth mentioned, Discourse is our "sponsorship", our sole source of income. Feeling cooked, burnt out, and running on fumes? In this conversation, Jen sits down with trauma-informed breathwork facilitator Kellie Blinco to unpack two deceptively simple practices—Yoga Nidra (non-sleep deep rest) and conscious breathwork that can reset your nervous system, sharpen your focus, and help you feel human again. Kellie shares her personal path from chronic dysregulation to healing, why a 21-minute Yoga Nidra can feel like 3–4 hours of restorative sleep, and how different breathwork styles from gentle diaphragmatic breathing to conscious connected breathwork—support real emotional processing (not just “thinking about it”). You'll hear practical tips for mums and time-poor parents, what to expect in a session, how safety and facilitation matter, and why the attempt to outrun pain often creates more of it.Kellie Blinco is the founder of Feather & Sage Bloom studio in Joondalup (WA). It started as one woman's unusual plan to control ticks on her family's old Wisconsin farm: drive hours in a tiny Kia, pick up ten ring-neck pheasants in burlap sacks, and release them on the land. But the road trip spiraled into a comedy of chaos—hissing birds, Jurassic-Park-like screeches, an unforgettable smell, and a surprise waiting in the back seat. Out of that disastrous adventure came an unexpected miracle: one tiny life that would change everything. What began as a spur-of-the-moment farm solution became a heartfelt bond with a bold little pheasant named Darby, who had no fear of anything—not even the family dog. But years later, after Darby's time on earth came to an end, the story took a turn no one could have predicted. When grief lingered and memories wouldn't fade, something impossible happened—an unmistakable sign that love doesn't always leave when the body does. Was it coincidence… or proof that some bonds really do outlast death? #TrueGhostStory #ParanormalPetStory #HauntedFeather #MessagesFromBeyond #SignFromBeyond #PetAfterlife #EmotionalParanormal #AnimalSpirit #RealHaunting #SupernaturalEncounters #HeartwarmingHaunting #GhostStories Love real ghost stories? On this week's episode of the BikeRadar news podcast, Jack Luke is again joined by Simon von Bromley to discuss the biggest tech stories in cycling this week. We open the show with the news that Tadej Pogačar has finally been beaten in a bike race by none other than friend of BikeRadar, four-time British national hill climb champion, and full-time lawyer, Andrew Feather. After recounting Feather's incredible ride at the Pogi Challenge charity ride in Slovenia, Simon recalls the time he got to spend watching Andrew posting some outrageous stats in a Bath university performance lab, back in 2019. Next up, Simon reveals all about Campagnolo's newly released Ultra components – a suite of eye-wateringly expensive upgrades for the Italian brand's Super Record 13 groupset, which cut a whopping 81g from the already-very-lightweight groupset. Jack and Simon then discuss the new world record for the longest continuous wheelie on a bicycle – which now sits at an outrageous 93.45 miles / 150.4km – and whether Strava might be becoming irrelevant. Lastly, Jack takes the lead on our ‘rant of the week', with the view that bikes are far easier to maintain than cars – and information far more readily available – and so bike mechanics should probably stop moaning so much. It's Pop Culture Thursday, which means Jared dives into Page Six and lets the riffs fly. He breaks down the “snub or not” moment between Charlize Theron and Johnny Depp at Paris Fashion Week, then pitches the rom-com we all deserve: Lana Del Rey and her alligator wrangler husband taking on haute couture. Jared questions why Travis Kelce gets boyfriend bonus points for spending his birthday at Taylor's movie premiere and contrasts the vibes and fans of Taylor Swift versus Charli XCX amid that “actually romantic” dust-up. He talks about Amy Schumer's very public Mounjaro journey and how the internet bullies celebrities into over-explaining. Finally, he weighs in on the “very real” PDA tour of Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun and why people seem weirdly suspicious of her every move!Get $10 off your first month's subscription of Nutrafol & free shipping with promo code FEATHER at https://www.nutrafol.com

fWotD Episode 3068: Feather (song) Welcome to featured Wiki of the Day, your daily dose of knowledge from Wikipedia's finest articles. The featured article for Sunday, 28 September 2025, is Feather (song)."Feather" is a song by American singer Sabrina Carpenter from Emails I Can't Send Fwd, the 2023 deluxe edition of her fifth studio album, Emails I Can't Send (2022). Carpenter wrote it with songwriter Amy Allen and its producer, John Ryan. Island Records released its sped-up version on August 4, 2023, and Republic Records promoted its original version to radio stations on September 12, 2023. A combination of pop, dance, disco, and bubblegum genres, "Feather" is a post-breakup track which celebrates the freedom and relief one feels upon ending a relationship and shedding its weight.Music critics praised the production of "Feather", describing it as light and airy. In the United States, the song peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Carpenter's first song to reach the top 40; it was also her first number 1 on the Pop Airplay chart. The song reached the top 20 in Honduras, Latvia, Malaysia, Singapore, and the United Kingdom. It received a diamond certification in Brazil and platinum or higher in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States.Mia Barnes directed the horror-inspired music video for "Feather", which was released on Halloween in 2023. It depicts the deaths of several men who mistreat Carpenter, who then dances at their joint funeral in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel/Annunciation Parish church. The video received a positive critical response but caused controversy when the Catholic Bishop of Brooklyn issued a statement criticizing the church scenes and suspended the priest who allowed them to be filmed. Carpenter performed the song at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards pre-show and at the 2023 Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve. She included it in her set list for the Emails I Can't Send, Eras, and Short n' Sweet tours. This recording reflects the Wikipedia text as of 00:18 UTC on Sunday, 28 September 2025.For the full current version of the article, see Feather (song) on Wikipedia. This podcast uses content from Wikipedia under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License.Visit our archives at wikioftheday.com and subscribe to stay updated on new episodes.Follow us on Bluesky at @wikioftheday.com.Also check out Curmudgeon's Corner, a current events podcast.Until next time, I'm standard Amy.

Birds do the darnedest things. They fly, of course. They sing. They hunt in pitch darkness. They hide their food and remember where they put it. They use tools and migrate over astonishingly vast distances—sometimes even sleeping while in flight. How do they do all this? What's going on in their brains that makes these and other remarkable behaviors possible? How did their evolutionary path mold them into the incredible creatures they are today? My guests today are Dr. Andrew Iwaniuk and Dr. Georg Striedter. Andrew is a comparative neuroscientist and Associate Professor at the University of Lethbridge in Canada. Georg is a Professor of Neurobiology and Behavior at the University of California, Irvine. Together they are the authors of the new book, Bird Brains and Behavior: A Synthesis (available open access here). Here, Georg, Andrew, and I consider the deep history of birds—how they skirted the mass extinction event that felled the dinosaurs, and then radiated out into the 11,000 plus species we know today. We talk about how bird brains differ from those of mammals and reptiles—in terms of their size, but also in terms of their major structures, and in terms of their wrinkliness. We tour some of the most peculiar and perplexing bird behaviors, and consider their neural and anatomical underpinnings. Finally, we consider what we can learn from bird brains, not just about birds but about brains in general—how they evolve, how they get wired up, how they do and do not vary. Along the way we touch on barn owls, hummingbirds, megapodes, mallards, pigeons, parrots, starlings, and underestimated waterfowl; we touch on how birds' brains change with the seasons; the enduring mystery of magnetoreception; the possibility of olfactory maps; the optocollic reflex; the social intelligence hypothesis and the extractive foraging hypothesis; precocial versus altricial bird species; split-body gynandromorphy; and the future of non-invasive work in bird neuroscience. Season 7 of Many Minds is now gathering steam. We've got some great episodes in the works for you. Just a little reminder that we'd be grateful—thrilled, even—if you could help us get the word out about our show. You might do this by leaving a rating or a review, or by telling a colleague about us. We really appreciate the support, friends! Without further ado, here's my conversation with Dr. Georg Striedter and Dr. Andrew Iwaniuk. Enjoy! Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran have created some of comedy's most beloved characters, including Birds of a Feather's Sharon and Tracey, and The New Statesman's Alan B'Stard. As their play Dr Freud Will See You Now Mrs Hitler comes to London, they discuss alternate histories, the limits of comedy, and how they still make each other laugh. Medea remains one of the most complex and terrifying characters in mythology, and Natalie Haynes's new novel No Friend to this House reimagines the story of the sorceress from Colchis. She discusses depictions of Medea with theatre director Carrie Cracknell. As the National Gallery launches an architectural competition to build a new wing, funded by two huge donations from charitable foundations, art curator and critic Kate Bryan joins Tom to discuss what the building might hold, how the National Gallery might be able to attract new audiences, and the place of art in today's world. To celebrate the first 7 years of my business (a Saturn cycle), I am looking back at the habits, healing, and challenges I faced in the various chapters along my path. In this particular installment, I look at a period marked by a lot of Death, where learning to hold grief, and to trust myself as I faced uncertain futures, became essential to how I hold everything in life, including the art of my career. This will likely be the most personal and vulnerable chapter in this whole series. It was a year of rollicking change, grounding in ritual, and surrendering to trust. I call the frameworks that emerged at this time Vulture Magic and The Emergent No. These grew mostly from my personal life, especially 4th, 7th, and 8th house relationships and experiences. To catch the previous chapters of this story, tune into Episodes 179, 183, and 190.
