There are a ton of podcasts about dating and relationships but We realized there wasn’t really a podcast focused on the type of advice you get from your group chat, like what to say on dating apps, dealing with sketchy matches, and everything that comes with it. Britt, Chanelle, and Lauren are three best friends in their late 20s who grew up together. The name “Nevermind, He Texted Me” comes from the group chat convo we have all had; the one where your friend says she hates him and is never texting him again, only to be followed up a few minutes later by the words, “nvm, he texted me.”

We're back for 2023!! We begin this episode attempting to read a submission, but get distracted by a British guy and some life updates. Lauren tells us all about how the Brit tried to play her and how she called him out on it in front of his friends. We also update you guys on some news!!!! (Spoiler, CHANELLE IS ENGAGED AND HER WEDDING IS IN FIVE MINUTES!!!) We finally get into a couple of submissions about times where listeners experienced realizing a guy wasn't into them by something they did. The audacity is overflowing. Also, if your ex reached out to you but had a current girlfriend/boyfriend, would you tell them? We get into this one as Lauren tells us about her experience being the current girlfriend and receiving that message. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/nvmhetextedme/support

This episode is a continuation of episode 26, so if you haven't listened, go back to that first! Part 2 goes into more examples of internet scams, including medical scams (need money for medical bills, my family member is sick, etc), and another scam that has been mistaken for sex trafficking (it's not). Chad also tells us how he got a scammer to leave her husband for him and how he confused two scammers so badly, they both claimed to be the same person. We also talk about where to see a day in the life of a Nigerian scammer (see below for name of show/where to watch), what happens when a scammer threatens you (can they really hurt you?), and what happens when a victim of a scammer is doing illegal money laundering activities without realizing (can they really get in trouble?). Plus, a urhole counter at the end! Can you count how many times we said Urhole during the two parts of the episode?? You might remember Chad Huber from some previous episodes, but if this is your first time hearing him on our show, get ready!! Chad has a Tiktok account where he interacts with internet scammers, goes along with their scams (obviously without sending money or real personal info), and fucks with them. Then, he makes videos of the interactions with a hilarious, sarcastic commentary while also explaining background info and giving insightful info on what to look for to know you're being scammed. The best part is the comments - there's always someone who doesn't understand what's going on, and thinks Chad is just catfishing people for fun or really being scammed himself. Part 1 will go into one of Chad's more drawn out scenarios, featuring the one and only, Urhole. Yes, her name is Urhole. And yes, we make “your hole” jokes the entire time. We also discuss a time recently where Chanelle was targeted as a victim of a scam, but then it wasn't a scam, but then actually it was a scam. We get Chad's opinion on this and talk about how far scammers will go to get their money, even if it means creating a death hoax! First, though, come with us as we panic and think the man in the story is somehow involved with Chanelle's boyfriend. After that crisis is averted, join us as Britt shares the rest of the story this listener sent in, and as Chanelle and Lauren scream and want to strangle someone. Have you ever posted something on social media specifically for someone else to see? We talk about our experiences with this and take a little trip down memory lane - Facebook memory lane. Why does Facebook thrive on showing millennials the dumb statuses we posted in 2007? The world may never know, but to be honest, its sickening. We also reminisce on the time Britt posted a pic to make someone jealous and that same pic has actually been used by some of our listeners to piss off a guy! We're out here doing the Lord's work. It wasn't realized until editing, but this week's episode really lives up to the name of the podcast, Nevermind, He Texted Me! This week, we're updating you on No Plan Stan, a man we've affectionately named after it became obvious he cannot and will not make a plan in advance, and only wants to hang out last minute. Well, Lauren is continuing to answer him, just to see what he says and show you all what not to deal with, and we're sharing those texts with you. WIll they actually meet? You gotta listen to find out! You might be able to see the person you're currently talking to in these texts. This is your sign to tell them to shit or get off the pot. You also may have been following this story on our Tiktok, but if you haven't, head over there (@nvmhetextedme) at some point and check out the recent/pinned videos! Warning: you might die inside a little bit. In accordance with the updates, we're also updating on Uber Pool man, the guy Lauren met 4 years ago for 30 seconds who randomly booked a flight to come see her. Guess what! He came to see her and you'll be surprised to find out how it went. Lastly, we get into something we started to talk about last week: the man with "toxic" in his bio. Yes. We decided to release part 2 of monday's episode early so you don't have to wait two weeks! If you haven't listened to part 1, go back to the previous episode before listening to this one. And reminder: it's still the Valentine's Day episode, in case you hear that mentioned. We finished the discussion about lack of effort when making plans, including one person who wrote in and basically said that people should like the “spontaneity.” …guess what? Being lazy isn't spontaneous, and we fully explain the difference. Then, we get into a few other scenarios where people showed us that they wanted to and did, or didn't want to and didn't. We head back into Lauren's Hinge messages and tells us about a man who told her she'd never find a husband, but wait until you hear his reasoning for that. Also, how soon is too soon to ask someone to be a plus one to a wedding? Britt's bf even chimes in for this one, and there seems to be one main consensus. Finally, if you listened to part 1, you might have heard Lauren say she cleared her matches and was seeing how long it took to get to 50. So how long does it take a 20-something to get 50 matches on a dating app? To start off today, we're telling you guys all about how Lauren's life has become a real life rom-com in just a few weeks. This episode title says it all: we're talking about effort. We get into valentine's day and how it's not hard to do a little something for someone. If they didn't, they didn't want to, and you should take those actions (or lack thereof) for what they're worth. Next, we talk about a specific situation Lauren just had with a hinge match that we know many others have experienced: a person who says they want to see you, but doesn't make effort to make plans to see you. We posted a Tiktok about this and got tons of comments and opinions, so we're getting into those and sharing some of your responses, including why this happens! This week, we start off with some more insight on what's going on on dating apps these days. People are very open about two things: hard drug use and polyamory. For the drugs - why would someone who openly does hard drugs match with someone who has it in their profile that they never do that? Our discussion about polyamory is short, being that we don't know much about it ourselves, but we think whatever people want to do in their own lives is fine. We want to have a guest on who can give us more insight on this lifestyle, so stay tuned for that in the future! Somehow, between all that, we get into reminiscing about how much we hate skiing, and a trip to Atlantic City for Chanelle's 21st birthday in 2013 (see @nvmhetextedme on instagram for the photos that were mentioned in this discussion). Lastly, we get into a listener question about cheating. Can a relationship be salvaged after one or both parties cheat? We get into all the reasons and situations where it can be fixed vs where it can't, as well as the number one thing that is needed in order to heal. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/nvmhetextedme/support

Welcome to the first episode of 2022! Let's start off by explaining the title.... basically, Lauren is newly single & she's back on her shit, therefore she's heavily considering selling those items for money (in the most non sexual way possible, of course). This all came up because we found out we had been used by a listener for their own embarrassment fetish and sexual gratification. Nice! We'll explain, just listen and crack up with us. Anyway, this week, we go through Lauren's first week back on dating apps and she tells us what's new since the last time she was on it. We also get into profile bios and get wild with a little segment we like to call "Profile Poetry." Have you ever seen a dating app bio that just made you roll your eyes? We took those and made them into poems for your enjoyment. Again, don't ask questions, just listen. We then get into a listener question about texting: is texting chemistry a thing? Should you base your outlook on how the rest of the relationship will go based on the first few weeks of texts? What are some red flags to look for when texting with a new person?
