Welcome to another episode of My Dating and Relationship podcast. Today, I'm excited to have Holly back for our seventh session together. Over the past few sessions, we've been working on helping Holly improve how she navigates dating, and today she's here to share her experience with our listeners. During our session, Holly shared how she's feeling more empowered in her dating life, and it's all thanks to the No Kissing for 3 Months Dating Rule advice I've given her and everything she learned from my book No More Assholes. We discussed how implementing the rule has made a huge difference in her dating approach. Holly mentioned that she no longer feels pressured to be physically intimate early on, which has allowed her to make more objective decisions about her dates. We also worked on Holly's dating profile, and I helped her select photos that truly represent her and her interests. We talked about how important it is to showcase your personality in your dating profile, as it helps attract like-minded individuals. Holly was thrilled about the new profile and was excited about the potential matches that may come her way. During our coaching session, we also talked about how to evaluate potential partners, and how important it is to look beyond just physical attraction. We discussed the importance of finding someone with similar values and interests, and how this can lead to a more meaningful relationship. I'm proud of the significant progress Holly has made in her dating journey, and I'm thrilled to see her feeling more confident and empowered. I'm looking forward to continuing our sessions and helping her find the partner she's looking for. Thanks for tuning in, and don't forget to give the episode a rating!

This episode is Ariel's third on empowered dating. Do you need to know what you're looking for? Do you want to get clarity? Do you want to learn about different dating choices? Have you done monogamy or vanilla relationships and what to try something else? Ariel talks about these things but be warned, some of the content and conversations might be triggering if you're used to a very conservative dating lifestyle. Clear negative energy connections you experience while dating with Ariel's Violet Flame Relationship Clearing Practice. Ariel uses this and other energy medicine tools to clear negative cording attachments. If you share this tool, please acknowledge me as its creator, especially if you do this on social media or in writing. Violet Flame Relationship Clearing by Ariel F. Hubbard, www.arielhubbard.com I am, I am, I am a Sovereign Being. I choose the energies that are in my field. I choose the energies of Peace, Light, and Unconditional Love, and so it is. (Say or think the name of the person you are releasing 3 times) At this time, I choose to release my energy from your field Bringing it back to me through the Violet Flame Where it is cleansed, blessed and purified. I reclaim my life force energy and my power. And so it is. Notice whether you feel a release physically, energetically, emotionally or spiritually. (Say or think their name 3 times) At this time, I choose to release your energy from my field Sending it back to you through the Violet Flame Where it is cleansed, blessed and purified. To do with as you will. I release it to you with love. And so it is. Notice whether you feel a release physically, energetically, emotionally or spiritually. After which process did you feel more of a shift? That will indicate where there was a stronger cording attachment. You may need to do this several times if the cording is strong. Some people may seek to re-engage with you once you have released cording—be prepared and stay disengaged. Or re-engage, but in a way that honours your boundaries. Urban Dictionary is an app to help you understand current slang Ariel's upcoming book is The Empowered Woman's Guide to Online Dating (see pre-order link, below.) This is a classic, extensively researched, seminal tantric text based on primary source research translated from Chinese, Japanese and Sanskrit by the authors. Urban Tantra by Barbara Carrellas gives practical exercises for people to connect with tantric energy. KEY TAKEAWAYS Women are the essence and expression of the divine feminine archetype and there are a lot of expressions of that. And yes, everyone has masculine and feminine energy inside of them, but women are the essence of the feminine. There are different types of archetypes: the maiden, the mother, the crone, the creator, the sex goddess, wise women. You have those qualities within you whether you're sweet and kind or criticising or manifesting and men, whether they're aware of it or not, are attracted to your sexual and spiritual energy. When you fate online men are trying to access this energy and they often do it by asking sexual questions. There are three groups of men: Men who want casual sex, men who want relationships, and guys who don't know what they want – these aren't guys you want to waste your time on. Cross those people off your list, your time is precious. The men who want quick access to your sexual energy are taking shortcuts by skipping dating steps. If it makes you feel nervous or afraid that's because it's not safe because they haven't taken the time or effort to build up trust. Once we're older and we exit a relationship (long- or short-term), it leaves us wondering what's important in life. You may have wondered if all the effort you put into your past relationships was worth it, or you might feel that you didn't get what you were looking for, or you might want something totally different. Give yourself permission to open yourself up to different possibilities. Life now is different to life in your teens and twenties and your desires and needs are different as well. Most people have grown up experiencing vanilla sex or relationships and they get into a rut where they do the same kinds of behaviours over and over again. They expect their partner to be monogamous and they may rarely or never actually talk about sex or their fantasies. This is one of the many reasons why relationships end. Men and some women do want variety and sometimes they get bored of the same persona and the same actions over and over again, not just sex but relationship actions too. BEST MOMENTS “Men have the spiritual energy of being a director or a builder, women are creators and gestators of ideas and men take and direct the energy that the feminine gives them and make it come into physical existence.”“If you're looking for casual sex, you need to be treated with respect with that even.”“Just because you might have been monogamous for years does not mean you have to have the same kind of sex or relationship life you had before. This is an ideal time to look at and explore other options.”“Kinks are a way of experiencing sexuality or arousal from something that's not normally considered sexual or sexy. Tantra is a way of working with sacred sexual energy (with yourself or a partner) to open up kundalini flow and your chakras to expand your spiritual consciousness.” ABOUT THE HOST Ariel is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, Empath and Psychic who has been involved in holistic healing since 1988. You have the power to transform your life and write your own love story, and today we'll hear from a special guest who did just that. Lisa Shield is a world-renowned love, dating, and relationship coach whose journey to love didn't start as a fairy tale. It began as an unhappily married fashion photographer who entered the dark room and emerged into a lighted hallway when she realized the stories we tell ourselves dictate who we become. We make it up, all of it. Lisa decided that if she was making it up, she might as well make it good. And that she had the power to change her life, take control of the narrative, and write a new story. She divorced, changed the portrait of a woman who was always sad, left a dysfunctional relationship, and embarked on a path of self-discovery. In two years, she went on 95 dates. On the 96th date, she met her husband, who encouraged her to become one of the first love coaches twenty years ago. Lisa Shield is a love, dating, and heart-opening ninja with two decades of experience. She is a pioneer in the field of love coaching. Lisa earned a master's degree in Spiritual Psychology and is a certified life and relationship coach. She has been a featured expert in The Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, LA Times, ABC News, and Cosmopolitan, to name a few. Last year, twelve of Lisa's clients were married, and she officiated four of those weddings. She and her husband, Benjamin, have been together for over 20 years and live with their two dogs in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Today we discuss what men want in a woman, and Lisa shares her wisdom while encouraging us to take power back and take control of our love life. Kerry Brett and Lisa Shield cover a lot of ground and topics, including:Tips around the importance of being present on the first date.Small acts of kindness, caring, and being a great listener can go a long way on the date.Getting emotionally naked is the most challenging part, but if you let your guard down will gain an extra point on the date.Look for your final five. This second episode in a three-episode series on dating is about dating safely. It used to be that our biggest worry around dating was ruining our reputation, these days you can lose your identity, your life savings, your freedom, or your bodily safety by dating. Ariel's upcoming book is The Empowered Woman's Guide to Online Dating (see pre-order link, below.) The FTC reported recently that $1.3 billion was stolen from people in the U.S in 2021 via romance scams. This is more than the past 5 years, combined! Source: https://apple.news/AKZbIT_lvQ7qV8sIp9Qlekw Tips: www.intellius.com Do a reverse phone lookup to find out if the name of the person matches the name given to you by a dating prospect. You can also screenshot a profile photo and do a reverse image search to see if the image is on other dating sites or other profiles (some scammers use the same photo, especially military photos stolen from actual military personnel, sometimes hundreds of times). Copy the message and paste into Google to see if it comes up in a search or go to https://www.scamhatersunited.com/?m=1 If you see it in a search, you know it is a script and that person is a scammer. KEY TAKEAWAYS If someone is intimidating you, manipulating you or pushing you into giving them money or they're saying “I want to come and see you and I love you but my kid is hurt/my mother needs surgery/I lost my wallet…” you can be sure that is a scam. It usually starts with asking for gift cards and usually starts with first contact. Don't use your real name anywhere on a dating site. People can take your first and last name as well as your cell number and do a look up. If you're dating I recommend using Intellius to verify people's actual identities. You can find out if they have court cases, bankruptcies, criminal records, you can find out names of their relatives and where they live. If you can look up this information about other people they can look it up about you. When you give out your phone number you're going to want to put out a Google Voice number, which is an app you put on your phone, attach this to your cell phone number so when you get messages from a different number they show up on your phone. That way, if people call you they don't have your real phone number with which to look up information about you. Some people don't take it well when you reject them and they might show up at your house and try to hurt you or your kids. To avoid being scammed – especially if you're over 50 – you need to set boundaries, check for differences in the way a profile is written compared to how they communicate (including spelling/grammar mistakes, non-American slang). If they seem shady, block and report them. BEST MOMENTS“More than $1.3 billion was stolen from people through romance scams in the US in 2021, this is more than the past five years combined. Last year 70,000 people reported they were the victim of a romance scam with the average loss at $4,400.”“One of the ways to identify a scammer is that they'll ask for your first name right away.”“Because of data scraping on big companies and government organisations you can pretty much guarantee that your information is out there on the dark web.”“Requiring people to meet you for a date is going to screen out all kinds of inappropriate people, like married men, scammers, people lying about their age or appearance.” ABOUT THE HOSTAriel is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master, Empath and Psychic who has been involved in holistic healing since 1988. Many investors are questioning if the online dating market has become saturated and, in turn, if there is still a growth runway for the industry.----- Transcript -----Welcome to Thoughts on the Market. I'm Lauren Schenk, Equity Analyst covering Small and Mid-Cap Internet stocks. Along with my colleagues bringing you a variety of perspectives, today I'll discuss the next leg of growth for the online dating industry. It's Wednesday, March 29th at noon in New York. Investors are understandably focused on turmoil in banking, but today we'll be taking a break from banks to cover a hot topic in any macro environment, online dating. Almost every investor call I get includes the question, "Is online dating just becoming saturated, mature or over-monetized?" Several data points have driven this market view. First, revenue growth at the top dating apps slowed in 2022 and provided more modest fiscal year 2023 guides and expected. Second, survey data suggests U.S. online dating adoption slowed over COVID. Third, app data implies U.S. monthly active users have been flat for five plus years, suggesting that monetization has driven all the growth and may slow from here. This data prompted us to dig deeper into the multiple growth drivers of online dating revenue growth to see if investor concerns are well founded. And we found that online dating is not just about users and user growth. Today, roughly 32% of the U.S. addressable single population uses online dating and 26% of that 32% pay for online dating either through a subscription or a la carte purchase. In fact, our analysis suggests there's still plenty of growth runway. There are effectively four key drivers of online dating growth between users and monetization, potential users, or total addressable market, online dating usage, payer penetration and revenue per payer. Most dating apps employ a "Freemium" model, meaning the service and platform are free to use, but the experience and success rate can be improved via a monthly subscription of bundled features or one-off a la carte purchases. To be sure, user growth has provided a solid boost to revenue growth over the last many years as mobile swipe apps expanded usage among young users. However, we see slowing U.S. single population growth and a slowing of user penetration from here. We estimate that user growth will likely contribute only 3% of industry revenue growth from 2022 to 2030, while the bulk of online dating revenue growth will increasingly come from monetization. With that said, compared to user growth, monetization growth is far more dependent on execution, which could make the industry growth inherently more volatile going forward, supporting our thesis that the leading apps' steep recent slowdown is not a function of oversaturation so much as mis-execution. Given all this, we believe the U.S. online dating industry will see durable, above consensus revenue growth medium to long term. We think the 2022 slowdown was due to mis-execution and monetization, with almost no payer growth and macro challenges, rather than saturation, as three of the four primary industry growth drivers, online dating usage, payer penetration and revenue per payer, are still on a growth path. Thanks for listening. If you enjoy the show, please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts and share Thoughts on the Market with a friend or colleague today.

[Elvi, Ep. 1 of 5]Have you ever tried giving someone a chance who was outside your 'norm'? When Elvi saw la Petite Douche on a dating app, instead of swiping left, she decided to give him a chance. Within two months of dating, she discovered la Petite was still on Tinder, and while he was great in theory, she also noticed that mysteriously she got locked out of a credit card account. Can you guess who the culprit was? This may have been a foreshadowing of what was to come. We're living in a swipe right, swipe left world. Online dating sites have existed since even before Match.com became a thing in the mid 1990s. But now? New dating apps aren't just popping up all the time, they've gotten niche-y with it too! In addition to the mainstream ones, you can find dating sites based on a religion, others for farmers and other rural area dwellers, etc. Whatever demographic you can think of, a dating app probably exists for it by now. Recently, Pew Research Center did a study on online dating in the U.S. that I found interesting and want to share with you. In it, they discovered 12 key takeaways, some of which aren't so surprising while others definitely caught me off guard. I won't talk about all 12 due to length of time. But in this episode of the Love Life Connection podcast, you'll learn six of the key findings Pew discovered about online dating in the U.S. and what they might mean for you and your love life. Even if you're not from the U.S., you'll still want to listen to this episode as so much of it still can apply internationally. 8:05 - A surprising takeaway about dating site and app usage among adults 10:03 - The most popular online dating site and why your location matters 14:39 - Why online dating can feel a lot more toxic to some people 20:43 - How women and men feel after using online dating platforms over the past year 25:55 - What dating algorithms can't do and the right mindset to have when you use a dating app 29:17 - A takeaway people are split on that I'm hesitant to talk about I hope you enjoyed this episode!
