The trap of the devil is when someone has been taken captive by the devil to do his will. How do we escape if we have fallen into the snare of the devil? There are five actions we must take to escape the snare of the devil.
What I’m going to do the next few weeks is answer four questions. What is the trap of the devil? How do we end up in the trap of the devil? How do we escape the trap of the devil? How can we help others escape the trap of the devil?
Every disciple of Jesus should live continually experiencing Jesus’ work in them, through them, and for them.

To persevere in the work of God, we need the Word of God to guide us, favor from God to sustain us, commitment to God to anchor us, and joy in God to strengthen us.

The call of Wisdom and the call of the Gospel make it clear we live our lives at a crossroads where we must choose which direction we go. But we’re not alone at the crossroads. There are a multitude of voices calling out for us to listen to them and choose their way.
Doing the work of God requires the people of God to work together for the glory of God.
The purpose of Proverbs is to make us wise so we can navigate life according to God’s designs.
We are compelled to act when God stirs our spirits.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom
The return of Jesus brings comfort for the believer and judgment for the unbeliever.
The coming of Jesus gives us reasons to rejoice.
Jesus is God with us who secures God’s promises to us.
Jesus is the Prince of peace who gives us peace.
To celebrate Advent properly we must understand who Jesus is.
God is sovereign over history, nations, and circumstances.
How earnestly are we seeking God? Does our need for God drive us to seek Him with the same urgency a person in the desert seeks water? Just as noting but water can satisfy our physical thirst, only God can satisfy the deepest needs of our soul.
No one is good enough to go to Heaven on their own merits, but everyone can be saved through faith in Jesus
