Stattdessen soll in die Deutschkenntnisse der Kinder investiert werden. Damit widerspricht der Aargau Bildungsministerin Baume-Schneider. Die weiteren Themen dieser Sendung: · Der Kanton Aargau braucht wahrscheinlich weniger neue Kantonsschulen als bisher geplant. Das rechnet die Regierung vor. · Ausgebrütet: Die Jungvögel eines Wanderfalken-Paares an der Wandfluh oberhalb von Grenchen sind ausgeflogen. Das gibt wieder mehr Möglichkeiten für Wanderer und Gleitschirm-Pilotinnen. · Früher war der Kanton Aargau stark in Sachen Möbelproduktion. Ein Historiker hat dazu ein neues Buch veröffentlicht.

Das ist Santo Antão, eine der Kapverdischen Inseln. Michi wandert vom Cova-Krater hinunter durch Kaffeeplantagen und Maracuja-Bäume. An selbst gebackenen Keksen vorbei, die eine Frau am Straßenrand verkauft, dann ein Wasserfall mitten in einem Dorf. Fremde Menschen sitzen im Wasser und laden ihn ein. Am schwarzen Lavastrand warten Naturpools, Pommes, Atlantik-Brandung. Und abends gibt es einen Drink aus frisch gepressten Maracujas, Zuckerrohrschnaps und Eiswürfeln. Flüssige Sonne im Glas. Ein Credo und seine Notwendigkeit: Ausbau der Nebensaison zum Ganzjahresziel und elektrische Innovation Foto: Rüdiger Edelmann / ttb-media TON-TEXT-BILD Wir können immer und rund ums Jahr Astrid Stehanig-Staudinger, CEO der Österreich Werbung brachte es so, während der ITB in Berlin, schon vor einigen Wochen auf den Punkt. Die Alpenrepublik hat längst das Marketingstichwort „Ganzjahresziel“ für sich entdeckt und versucht es umzusetzen. Der Winter allein reicht nicht mehr aus, um dauerhaft erfolgreich zu sein und für weitere positive Anziehungspunkte zu sorgen. Damit ist die Ausdehnung aufs komplette Jahr ein wirtschaftliches Muss für Österreichs Reisebranche. Mit dem Saisongeschäft wird es schwieriger dauerhaft neue Kundschaft anzuziehen, zumal wenn Teile einer ehemaligen Hauptsaison dem Klimawandel absehbar zum Opfer fallen dürften. Nur wie macht man das? Entscheidend, so hieß es in Berlin, seien nicht mehr nur das Ziel, die Aktivität und die dazugehörige Saison, sondern ein Gefühl. Der Weg zum Ganzjahreserlebnis Wie entwickelt man genau diese strategische Zukunftsfrage? Zunächst einmal betont Astrid Stehanig-Staudinger, man sei ja nicht mehr am Anfang , sondern habe schon eine ganze Menge geschafft. Die „Lebensgefühl-Kampagne wurde bereits im letzten Jahr begonnen und ein Anteil von 28 Prozent Urlaubern in der Nebensaison kann sich sehen lassen. Nur sie lässt sich nicht verordnen. Das „Lebensgefühl Österreich“ muss in die Köpfe der potentiellen Kundschaft. Allerdings muss die Realität des Angebots auch vielfältig eingelöst werden. Gleichwohl treffen Natur, Berge, Seen, Wandern, Radfahren, Mountainbikes, Kulinarik, Schmäh, Stadt und Land aufeinander. Da müssen die einzelnen Gewerke zusammenarbeiten und an einem Strang ziehen. Von der Theorie zur Praxis Daran arbeiten die Destinationen seit geraumer Zeit und das zahlt sich offensichtlich aus. Während des Pressegesprächs kamen dementsprechend auch unterschiedliche Zielegebiete zu Wort. Wer Bergbahnen hat, kann neben Skifahrern im Winter auch Wanderer oder Mountain-Biker in den anderen Jahreszeiten in luftige Höhe bringen. Natürlich sind Wanderwege und Bike-Parcours eine Grundvoraussetzung fürs Gelingen. Martina Ellmauer, Prokuristin bei der Saalfelden – Leogang Tourismus GmbH, beschreibt die Bemühungen im Podcast sehr anschaulich. Entspannte Wanderwege, entspannendes Seeerlebnis machten die Region berühmt. Nicht umsonst fuhr Alt-Bundeskanzler Helmut Kohl bevorzugt an den Wolfgangsee. Inzwischen, berichtet Stefan Brandlehner, Geschäftsführer von Salzkammergut Marketing, hat man festgestellt, dass sich die Ruhe ausstrahlender Seen in Kombination mit Adventsstimmung wundervoll verkaufen lässt. See und Kulinarik funktionieren im Januar und Februar. So soll jede Region ein eigenes Erfolgsrezept entwickeln. Das Ziel ist sicher noch nicht erreicht, der Weg dorthin aber durchaus erfolgversprechend beschritten. Sagen wir mal die Vielfältigkeit herausarbeiten mit dem Credo: Es gibt überall etwas Passendes und das jederzeit. Sie meint damit nicht nur eine Überlebensfähigkeit engagierter Betriebe, sondern auch die soziale Absicherung der Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeiter. Wer einen guten, dauerhaften und sicheren Job hat, der bleibt. Wer dauerhaft engagierte Mitarbeitende beschäftigt, bietet nicht nur Perspektiven fürs Personal, sondern hat Sicherheit im Betrieb. Saisonbetrieb macht den Fachkräftemangel größer, jedes Mal und gelegentlich mit ungewissem Ausgang. Die touristische Bedeutung Wintersportregionen auch im Sommer interessant machen. Graz  – Foto: Rüdiger Edelmann / ttb-media TON-TEXT-BILD Damit einher geht auch die Verpflichtung immer wieder Neues zu kreieren, das die eigene Destination für das ganze Jahr attraktiv macht, beziehungsweise die Nebensaisonzeiten so attraktiv macht, dass Gäste kommen und gleichzeitig die Hauptsaison so attraktiv zu halten, dass die Kundschaft nicht abwandert. Generationswandel einkalkulieren: Beispiel mit Hypershell PRO Wenn Kärntens Berge, Badeseen und das Schloss am Wörthersee ausgeschöpft sind, braucht es eben neue Ansätze für neue Kundschaft. Und diese neue Kundschaft darf dann gerne auch etwas älter sein. Das waren zum Beispiel die Gedanken von Georg Overs, Geschäftsführer bei Region Villach Tourismus. Das E-Bike hat sich durchgesetzt, jetzt kommt etwas Neues, erzählt er mir. Das Bestechende dabei: Es geht nicht nur um ein neues Sport-Hilfsgerät, sondern auch um die Erschließung einer neuen Kundengruppe. Ein tragbares Exoskelett, das an Beinen und Hüfte angebracht wird. Es unterstützt die Bewegungsabläufe beim Wandern. Dadurch steigert es die Beinkraft, kann Gewicht ausgleichen und reduziert die Müdigkeit. Es ermöglicht Menschen mit geringerer oder schwindender Kondition, (weiterhin) schöne Bergerlebnisse zu genießen. Digitale Veränderungen bringen immer wieder Neues auf den Plan. Technische Entwicklungen sollen die Bemühungen der Touristiker zusätzlich unterstützen. Auch daran arbeitet Österreich. KI oder Gehirnstrommessung zur Touristensteuerung sind solche Stichworte Klingt ein wenig nach Horrorfilm. Ich habe mich darauf eingelassen, ausprobiert und überlebt. Das aber ist eine ganz andere Geschichte, die in der nächsten Woche folgt. Umay Acar-Sümer |Writer and Composer of ‘Beowulf the MusicalBio:Umay Acar-Sümer is a Turkish singer and composer based in Hampshire, UK. Having completed an MA in Medieval Studies and MMus in Music Composition at Royal Holloway, Umay draws inspiration from medieval literature and history in her writing. She is the writer and composer of ‘Beowulf the Musical', a two-act musical made up of 35 song based on the medieval epic poem Beowulf. ‘Beowulf the Musical' premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2024 with Umay playing the role of Freawaru; the musical is now set to release an album with many of the original cast and orchestra members reprising their roles. There's a version of life in Acadiana that most of us only see from a car window. We live in something of a paradise, it’s just sort of removed from your day-to-day reality. That’s in part because Louisiana’s natural beauty isn’t always so easy to see. Louisiana is flat. Famously so. We don’t have mountain vistas to behold. So, if you want to really drink in Acadiana’s splendor, you probably need to get on the water. Don’t have a boat? Don’t worry about it. Reed Rudasil has you covered. Reed is the owner of Wanderlust Rentals, a startup that rents kayaks, right on the water. He grew up in Lafayette and studied civil engineering at UL. But he figured out pretty quick he didn't want to sit in an office. He tried landscaping, he managed a crawfish restaurant, he started buying rental properties. Eventually Reed founded a property management company called Experience Louisiana, focused on short-term rentals that often put guests close to waterways. Renting kayaks came naturally from there. Many of the properties he manages sit on the water — and guests kept asking what to do once they arrived. Reed's answer was Wanderlust Rentals, Louisiana's first multi-point service kayak rental system. The concept is straightforward: kiosks placed by the water, stocked with single and tandem kayaks. Customers sign a waiver, pay, get a code, and they're on the water. No staff required. No waiting. The whole transaction happens just feet from the bayou. Don’t have a car to get the bayou? Maybe try an e-bike. They’re everywhere, in case you hadn’t noticed. The electric bike market in the United States was worth $2 billion in 2025 and is projected to more than double in the next decade. Gerri Simon is a serial entrepreneur who’s cashing in on that market. She owns eBikes Plus, a one-stop shop for electric bike sales and repair here in Lafayette. She grew up in Vermilion Parish — not far from the water, and not far from the kind of hands-on problem solving that runs in Cajun households. Gerri's dad, she'll tell you, was an engineer who never finished high school. He taught her to build things and to work on things. She took that instinct to UL, where she discovered she was good at math, and came out the other side with a degree in mechanical engineering. She later got an MBA. She went on to found and operate several businesses before landing on eBikes plus. A big part of her customer base is retirees with RVs who pack up the bikes to take with them on their roving vacations. Deutschland – ein Überblick Foto: Rüdiger Edelmann / ttb-media TON-TEXT-BILD So unterschiedlich wie die Einschätzungen der befragten Reiseregionen zeigte sich der Deutschlandtourismus im Jahr 2025. Trotzdem gilt verhaltene Zufriedenheit. Stagnierung bei Gästen aus dem Ausland? Entwicklung 26: Was so schön hätte sein können, traf dann spätestens mit dem geopolitischen Paukenschlag Anfang März nur noch bedingt zu. Das „Incoming“, also die Zahl der Besucher aus dem Ausland, war ein Hoffnungsträger. Jetzt lässt die Zahl der Auslandstouristen erst mal nach. Es gibt handfeste Probleme für den Deutschlandtourismus und seine Besuchenden aus dem Ausland. Weniger Gäste aus Asien und auch Nordamerika sind absehbar, denn die üblichen Reiseströme sind ins Stocken gekommen. Deutschlandtourismus von Deutschen gerettet? Muss der Deutschland-Tourismus jetzt von uns, im eigenen Land, gerettet werden? Genau genommen sind ja die Inlandsurlauber für viele Regionen die gewaltigste Stütze, die sie bekommen können. Rund die Hälfte der Deutschen machen schließlich Urlaub im eigenen Land. Werden es 2026mehr werden? Anzeichen und dazugehörige Schlagzeilen gibt es einige: Buchungseinbruch in der Türkei, Spanien völlig überlaufen. Flugurlaub wegen Kerosinmangels teurer. Das alles wären gute Argumente für den Inlandsurlaub. Allerdings auch hier ist die wirtschaftliche Situation durchaus herausfordernd. Sie ist gekennzeichnet von Nachhaltigkeit und Digitalisierung. Belohnung statt Verbot BremenPay – Foto: Screenshot Bremen.de Im Mai startet „BremenPay“. Das ist weder eine neue Kreditkarte oder Zahlungssystem, sondern eins, das Besuchende belohnt. Vorbild ist das erfolgreiche Programm „COPPAY“ aus der dänischen Hauptstadt Kopenhagen. Umweltgerechtes Verhalten von Touristen wird damit belohnt. Ein Programm, das nichts verbietet, sondern belohnt. Hört, wie's funktioniert. Im Bereich der Digitalisierung gibt es Neues von den Bremer Stadtmusikanten. Die wurden digitalisiert und werben jetzt für die Hansestadt. Zu guter Letzt wären da noch die jährlichen Feierlichkeiten zu deutschen Einheit zu erwähnen. Am 3. Oktober 2026 ist Bremen Gastgeberin, freut sich schon darauf und bastelt an einem interessanten Programm. Insel Usedom: Natur und Infrastruktur Foto: Rüdiger Edelmann / ttb-media TON-TEXT-BILD Mal ist es zu voll und manchmal viel zu leer. Das ist das Schicksal von Bade- und Saisondestinationen. Davon wird auch Deutschlands östlichste Insel nicht verschont. In der absoluten Hauptsaison (Juli & August) verliert die vorhandene Infrastruktur regelmäßig gegen den Touristenstrom. In der absoluten Nebensaison (November bis Februar) ist es, von Weihnachten und Silvester abgesehen, mitunter so leer, dass es unrentabel wird, die touristischen Angebote in voller Stärke aufrecht zu erhalten. Der Reiseradio-Podcast 302 vom letzten Dezember versucht das Problem zu analysieren. Er berichtet nicht von seiner größten Hoffnung in Sachen Verkehrsinfrastruktur, denn da haken die Planungen mal wieder. Immerhin ist die Insel immer wieder für eine Überraschung gut, wie beispielsweise der in diesem Jahr zum ersten Mal stattfindende „Strandmarathon“. In Sachen Kultur tut sich seit vielen Jahren etwas mit den „Usedomer Musiktagen“ und den „Usedomer Literaturtagen“. Zu Letzteren kommt Alt-Kanzlerin Angela Merkel am 10. September zu einer Lesung nach Peenemünde. Zeitnah zu den Landtagswahlen in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern am 20.09. Diese Wahlen und die prognostizierten Mehrheiten sind derzeit nicht nur in M-V selber, sondern auch auf der Insel ein Problem. Hört die Geschichte im Podcast. Brandenburg: Wir haben auch schöne Seen Erst kommt die Mecklenburgische Seenplatte und dann ist man auch gleich in Brandenburg. Man leidet seit Jahren darunter, dass es dort mindestens genauso schöne Seen gibt, die image- wie umsatzträchtig gegen die berühmten Nachbarn hinten runter fielen. Seit November 25 gibt es dafür eine neue Kooperation zwischen Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Brandenburg und Berlin. Daraus könnte was draus werden und sinnvoll ist es für alle Beteiligten, denn: Urlauber achten in der Regel nicht auf Bundesländergrenzen! Trotzdem sei alles soweit gut, wenn man mal das Sommerwetter 25 außen vor ließe. Neu in Brandenburg ist noch mehr Wasser. Der Verbund des „Lausitzer Seenlands“ wachse und viele Seen würden noch in diesem Sommer miteinander verbunden. Regina verspricht ein Paradies. Nach dem Gespräch, ich war schon am Zusammenpacken, sagt sie noch: „Ups, ich hab ja Prinz Heinrich ganz vergessen, dessen 300. Geburtstag wir in diesem Jahr feiern“. Nicht so schlimm, denn dazu gibt's ja schon den Reiseradio-Podcast 304 vom Januar. Der Prinz lohnt, genauso wie fast alle Begleiterscheinungen insbesondere rund um sein Schloss in Rheinsberg. In Zeiten von wirtschaftlichen Problemen hätten die Leute schon im letzten Jahr weniger Geld für Urlaub ausgegeben. Das könne ein Problem werden für Sachsen als explizites Kurzreiseziel. Sächsische Schweiz – Foto: Frank Richter / TMG Sachsen Gleichzeitig gäbe es aber entsprechende Hoffnungsschimmer. Die Schlagzeile lautet deshalb auch: Kultur- und Städtereisen (z.B. nach Leipzig und Dresden) in Kombination mit Naturerlebnis. Dankbar ist man über den „Nachhall“ zum Kulturhauptstadtjahr in Chemnitz. Fortgeführt werden auch die Programme um das „Jahr der Romantik“ von 2025. Im Mittelpunkt das Elbsandsteingebirge und der Komponist Carl Maria von Weber. Wandern im Erzgebirge – Foto: Erzgebirge-Tourismus Highlight des Jahres werde sicher das „Europäische Wanderfestival“, das im Erzgebirge Station mache. Das geschieht zusammen mit dem Deutschen Wandertag in Oberwiesenthal. Thüringer Wald: Mountainbikes und Tradition  Berühmt für die nächste Region ist der Rennsteig für Wanderer und im Zentrum Oberhof für Wintersportler. Das kleine Mittelgebirge zieht sich von Eisenach im Nordwesten bis nach Suhl und Ilmenau im Südosten. Wir haben jede Menge Stärken, sagt Susann Eberlein vom Regionalverbund Thüringer Wald. Nicht ganz einfach, denn man muss mit den Waldbesitzern unter einen Hut kommen. Ansonsten spielt Kultur und Geschichte eine wichtige Rolle von Bach bis zum gläsernen Christbaumschmuck. Hauptargument für den Thüringer Wald sei aber immer noch die Tatsache, dass man beim Wandern und in der Natur nicht mit Hundertschaften von weiteren Urlaubern unterwegs sei. Credo: Ruhe, Entspannung und ursprüngliche Natur in einem Umfeld von Tradition. Goethe, Schiller, Bach, Liszt, Richard Strauß, aber auch das Bauhaus stehen für Weimar. Um Vieles an Kultur kümmert sich die Klassik-Stiftung, die aber auch ganz eng mit den Touristikern der Stadt zusammenarbeitet. Themenjahr 2025: Faust – Grafik: Klassik Stiftung Weimar Johannes Wiesel von der Klassik Stiftung zeigt sich im Gespräch zufrieden mit den Aktivitäten des letzten Jahrs rund um Goethes Faust, der in die Gegenwart geholt wurde. Mit Erfolg, denn die Tourismusstatistik kommt positiv rüber. In diesem Jahr warten aber weitere kulturelle Highlights auf die Gäste in der Stadt. Entdecken und Wiederentdecken ist das Hauptmotto, denn es gäbe auch ein umfangreiches Programm für die „Wiederholungstäter, sagt Johannes Wiesel. Das Angebot „Öffnen“ soll hauptsächlich auch intensive Blicke hinter die Kulissen ermöglichen. Im Oktober wird das Weimarer Stadtschloss wieder eröffnet. Heute, am 30. April, eröffnet auch das Wittumspalais wieder. Es war der Witwensitz von Herzogin Anna Amalia, der die Stadt noch viel mehr verdankt, als die weltberühmte Bibliothek. Selbst die Frage von Umwelt- und Naturschutz spielt eine gewichtige Rolle. Warum? Hört im Podcast nach. Das Jahresmotto 2026 lautet „Sehnsuchtsorte im Süden“ und da könne sich aufgrund der Vielfältigkeit jeder sein Lieblingsziel heraussuchen. Sehnsucht sei ja schließlich höchst emotional und individuell. Internationales aus vier Ländern gehört hier eigentlich schon immer zur DNA. Wo aber fängt man an? Deutsch Vielleicht einfach beim internationalen Namensgeber Konstanz. Eric Thiel, Geschäftsführer der Marketing und Tourismus Konstanz GmbH sagte mir, dass der Bodensee im letzten Jahr, ganz gegen die Gewohnheit, mit ziemlich viel Regen und schlechtem Wetter im Juli und August zu kämpfen hatte. Dennoch sei man heil durch die „Wetterkrise“ gekommen. Hier gab es im Übrigen keine Besuchereinbrüche aus den USA. Im Gegenteil. Die Touristen von dort seien besonders interessiert an historischen Orten und hätten noch mehr Spaß, den Bodensee mit E-Bikes zu umrunden. In wenigen Tagen gleich vier Länder zu bereisen, sei eben etwas Besonderes. Die lange Jahre gesperrte Marienschlucht sei jetzt wieder geöffnet und über einen Skywalk zugänglich. Zu sehen gäbe es jetzt auch das „Assisi-Panorama“ ein quasi historisches „Wimmelbild“ über Konstanz zu Zeiten des Konzils im Mittelalter. In Sachen Umwelt ist man am Bodensee ohnehin achtsam. 10 Jahre sanfter Tourismus zahlten sich inzwischen aus, schließt Eric Thiel unseren Talk ab. International 24 Stunden Flohmarkt Konstanz / Kreuzlingen – Foto: MTK / Chris Danneffel Die Bodensee-Story ist aber noch nicht zu Ende erzählt, nicht umsonst hat er auch Ufer in Österreich, der Schweiz und Liechtenstein. Wenn man den ganzen See vermarkten will, geht das nur in internationaler Zusammenarbeit. Dafür ist die Internationale Bodensee Tourismus Gesellschaft gegründet worden. Um die Pressearbeit dort kümmert sich Alina Milz. Sie klärt mich über die bewährte, internationale Zusammenarbeit auf. Es gebe natürlich auch Herausforderungen, schließlich verlaufe an der Grenze zu Liechtenstein und der Schweiz eine EU-Außengrenze. In der Lebenspraxis der Urlauber spiele das aber kaum eine Rolle. Konstanz und Kreuzlingen gingen zum Beispiel ineinander über. Alina Milz wartet dann noch mit einigen internationalen Terminen und Attraktionen auf, die sich Bodenseebesucher 2026 nicht entgehen lassen sollten. A small being walked across Rebekah's home after a sense of presence had been felt for some time. She never imagined it was possible to have an experience like this…until it happened. The therianthrope being appeared weary from travelling, with staff in hand - ‘his' face reminiscent of an indigenous person. He passed across a doorway in Rebekah's home, seemingly across the building, incongruent to the layout of the house. "The creature was maybe about knee high.  It was bipedal and walked with a human gait, but it was a little hunched.  I think he might have been wearing brown breeches or something, but nothing else, because his top half was hairy or fur covered, like an animal...my impression was a mixture of animal and human in feature." We discuss the possibility that her home, which is situated next to a mine (a potentially significant factor), lies on a fairy path (a line between two sacred points in the landscape which fairy beings travel along). We also hear how a previous occupant may have been present in the house and possibly took the form of an ‘angel' who used to visit Rebekah's daughter as a child. I was fascinated to hear about the ancient ‘Stonehenge-like' monument beneath the surface of Lake Michigan - one of the sacred sites mentioned. This sermon teaches that just as a loving parent pursues a child who wanders into danger, believers are called to lovingly pursue brothers and sisters in Christ who drift from the truth. It explains that spiritual wandering is usually a slow process rooted in unchecked desires, making it both dangerous and often unnoticed. Scripture calls the church to gently restore those caught in sin, not with condemnation but with love, recognizing the responsibility to help rescue them from spiritual harm. Big Idea: God leads restless souls toward satisfaction. Problem: Our souls grow faint because we keep searching for satisfaction where it cannot be found. Solution: God frees us from aimless wandering by leading us toward the only city that satisfies. Vision: To become a people who can name our longing without shame, tell the truth about our wandering, and testify to how God met us when we cried out. As we tell our stories, we become a community of pilgrims learning to walk God's straight path together; finding real satisfaction in Him and pointing other wanderers toward home. Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in.
