In this week's episode, your host (Deisy) reveals something she has never spoken about. A trauma that caused her to develop Dissociative Amnesia and Depersonalization- derealization disorder. A disorder that individuals who have been exposed to sexual or physical assault can develop. After Deisy had to relive her experience with sexual assault, she had to rely on her support systems and reflecting that it was time to tell part of her story. She had muted herself for so long, still in the process of healing, receiving treatment. Deisy felt prepared to tell her story in hopes that it can help another individuals keeping their-self muted and suffering in silence.
