Jaime speaks on Philippians 2 about Christ's humility. He highlights that Jesus emptied himself to be a slave and to be in human likeness for he "did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage". He exchanged his throne for a manager, and later, a cross. Jaime finishes by encouraging us to worship, as this is the most appropriate response to Jesus.
Glenn speaks to us from Mark 14 and 15 about the two men who betrayed Jesus, Judas and Peter. He examines the parts that each of them played before Gethsemane, the betrayers response to his own betrayal, and finally, how it ended for each of them. We are encouraged to examine our hearts and come before God in repentance to seek forgiveness.
Jaime speaks about the Last Supper with Jesus and his disciples before he is betrayed by Judas. He highlighted from the passage that there is a tension between the desire to follow Jesus and the ability to follow through which is mirrored in our own lives. We were encouraged to remember that belonging to God's kingdom is not based on performance but solely and wholly on Jesus & his sacrifice.

Jaime speaks about Jesus' radical, hyperbolic teaching in Mark chapter 9. The passage shows that God takes sin, and treats sin, seriously and so should we. We are encouraged to think about what causes us to stumble and to let God's Spirit help us and change us.

The end of Mark chapter 8 brings us to a turning point in the Gospel where the disciples finally grasped that Jesus was the Messiah when he questioned them, "Who do you say I am?" Jaime highlights that living God's way is what will ultimately lead to a satisfying and fulfilling life. We are challenged to radical abandonment to the will of God as this is what Jesus calls us to do!

We continue with our series in Mark's Gospel and read about people's responses to Jesus. Jaime highlights the disciples belief, Jesus' family benevolent unbelief and the religious leaders malevolent unbelief. He also challenges us to think about who we say Jesus is and what our personal response is to that belief.
