In a world awash with disinformation and fear-based politics, what cuts through the noise isn't perfection; it's authenticity. As Erin Reed, a trailblazing journalist and trans rights advocate, puts it: the most effective leaders and allies are the ones who show up with sincerity, values, and courage. Reed knows this from experience. Alongside her wife, Montana state legislator Zooey Zephyr, they've faced the harshest forms of political repression, from being silenced in state chambers to watching harmful laws passed in the name of "protecting" sports or children. And yet, their fight continues, fueled by love, clarity, and hope. So how can you support the trans community in meaningful ways? Stand Firm in Your Values – Democratic Party leaders especially shouldn't be “Republican-lite” or speak through the filter of 12 consultants. Speak from the heart, like Kentucky's Andy Beshear, who stood up for trans rights and still won big in a deep red state. Educate Yourself and Others – Learn the real facts. Trans athletes aren't “cheating.” They're barely even represented in elite sports. Medical care for trans youth isn't a free-for-all; it's cautious, professional, and consent-driven. And no, no one is performing surgeries in school cafeterias. Be Visible. Be Vocal. – When institutions cave to pressure and erase diversity programs, allies must speak up. Trans people aren't always in the room, but you might be. Build Solidarity – Globally and locally. Anti-trans disinformation spreads across borders. So should our support. Reach out to advocate groups abroad and build an international coalition of support and solidarity. History is watching. As Reed reminds us, this is our civil rights moment. Whether you're an activist, a parent, a lawmaker, or a friend, your genuineness, your voice, and your love can help shape a more just future. All it takes is a spark. There is a real enemy whose aim is to bring death and widespread destruction. This enemy is not your neighbor or yourself; it is Satan. Our Faith, when taken up like a shield, defends us and extinguishes the flame of evil attacks.

A talk by Thanissaro Bhikkhu entitled "Stand Firm"
When problems arise and circumstances rise that make us want to run away we need to stand firm. When sin wants to take us down we need to stand firm. When we are tempted to doubt we need to stand firm. If we can't stand strong, we can't stand firm.
Generosity. Is it an action, a state of the heart, or a mind-set? I heard recently that generosity is BEST when it includes all three and we compare it with IMPACT. Have you ever thought about your giving in this way? That your giving could possibly be leveraged for the highest impact for eternity? What if we all stopped and looked and prayed over the resources we have, and re-committed the 10% tithe of all our income, to MAXIMIZE impact for the Kingdom? Isaiah 32:8 says “But generous people plan to do what is generous, and they stand firm in their generosity.” What will you do today, to put on this new “eternal” mindset of generosity?
Sometimes, standing feels like the hardest thing to do—especially when life feels like a battlefield. But in Ephesians 6:13b, Paul encourages us that after we've done everything, we are to stand. Not in our own strength. Not in fear or defeat. But in the power and provision of God.In this episode, Angie and Katie dive deep into what it truly means to "stand firm" in the face of spiritual warfare.Ephesians 6:13b (NIV)and after you have done everything, to stand.https://livesteadyon.com/https://www.logos.com/https://enduringword.com/https://www.wordhippo.com/https://www.biblegateway.com/https://www.blueletterbible.org/Max Anders, Galatians-Colossians, vol. 8, Holman New Testament Commentary (Nashville, TN: Broadman & Holman Publishers, 1999), 190.Matthew Henry and Thomas Scott, Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary (Oak Harbor, WA: Logos Research Systems, 1997), Eph 6:10.Theme music:Glimmer by Andy EllisonLearn more about Susie Crosby's new children's book, "Where is Sheep 100?" here.Midroll Music: Lovely Creations by Dresden, The Flamingo

A – About: This passage reveals the danger Jeremiah faces from his own townspeople for faithfully delivering God's message. Despite their schemes to kill him, Jeremiah entrusts his cause to the Lord, who promises judgment against the unrepentant. B – Best Verse: Jeremiah 11:19 – "But I was like a docile lamb brought to the slaughter… Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living…" C – Call to Action: We are called to speak truth boldly, even when it puts us at risk. Confront falsehood with love, pursue peace, and be courageous in holding to God's Word, even if it means facing opposition from those closest to us.

Perhaps our greatest need is to be in right standing with another, to be fully accepted and approved of. This is what the breastplate of righteousness is - full acceptance and right standing with God. And the devil will do anything, scheme in any way, to keep us from having it put on and from then continually putting it on.
In this podcast, Pastor Justin preaches into how we've been called to freedom, but how we must each answer the call and then keep standing firm in the freedom in which Jesus set us free!Support the show
God grants us grace and the Holy Spirit to stand firm in the face of opposition to the gospel. We can face God's enemies even when they: I. Disagree with Christ's Teaching II. Designate False Witnesses III. Determine to Silence the Gospel.

We are instructed to stand firm and make our stand against the devil, against the domain of darkness. And in order to do so, we must be prepared and put on the full armor of God. To start with, we must put on the belt of truth; wrap our lives with God, His Word, and His ways.
In this message, Pastor Justin Detmers tackles the topic of spiritual warfare, encouraging a shift from fear and sensationalism to a sober and optimistic perspective. He asserts that Christians operate from a place of victory already secured by Christ, rather than fighting for it. Justin outlines key strategies for this battle: recognizing the true spiritual enemy, resisting with the truth of God's Word, and ultimately rejoicing in Christ's triumph.
