In today's episode I start an introductory discussion about the dietary needs of melaninated people in America. Under the oppression of white supremacy and being in close proximity with our oppressors for centuries, our individual needs as a people get ignored or plain left out of all facets of our lives. A big contributor to a lot of the health complications and mental issues come from the lack of overstanding on how we as different groups of people have different diets and supplements that aid in healing. If we continue to live by white peoples diets it will do more harm than good. In today's episode I talk about how within the spiritual community, black spirituality is seen in a poor light compared to other ethnicities in the spiritual world. And that is largely attributed to the people we push to the forefront as “leaders” with no credentials, plan or existing social structures that can aid our community. Why do we continue to beg for leaders instead of leading ourselves? That's what this discussion is about, getting to the root of our psyche.
