A study through the life and prophecies of Jeremiah in the last days of the Kingdom of Judah and how these prophecies can apply to us even today.
Jeremiah prophesies against some of the nations surrounding Judah.
Words of encouragement for a discouraged Baruch.
Even with the judgement of the Lord upon Jerusalem and Judah fresh in their minds, the remnent of Israel that was not removed to exile in Babylon still refused to listen to the Lord. The Lord still was willing to protect His people if they would only obey His word; yet they verbally rejected Him and soon suffered the consequences.
Down to the very end, the Lord gave Judah a chance to avoid the judgement pronounced upon it, through Jeremiah. Even then, the people would not listen and the fall of Jerusalem soon followed, though those that believed the Lord were spared.
Jeremiah tells God's people that despite their sin, God does not change His mind nor back out of His promises.

God's instructions to Jeremiah to transact a real estate deal while in prison seemed a bit odd; though Jeremiah followed through faithfully, he still had some questions. As we see in this study, God often times requires us to offer ourselves as a living sacrifice without giving us a reason--yet it always is for His glory and we will be blessed in our obedience.
