What does it mean to be a watchman in today's culture? In this episode of Fearless with Mark & Amber, we explore the powerful warnings found in Ezekiel 8 and Ezekiel 33, discussing the biblical responsibility to expose darkness, proclaim truth, and faithfully warn others—even when it's unpopular. We also share a behind-the-scenes update on our upcoming documentary Principalities, why careful research matters, and how Christians can faithfully stand for truth in a culture increasingly resistant to it. Helmeted Guineafowl are known for moving in frantic flocks, often running and squawking about. In their native range – from Senegal to South Africa – these chicken-sized birds are favored prey of wild cats and Martial Eagles, so they need to be alert! Because they're also spooked by unfamiliar people, guineafowl are often employed as burglar alarms on farms. More info and transcript at BirdNote.org. Want more BirdNote? Keir Starmer struts across the G7 stage in Evian — but with a resigned Defence Secretary, a furious Armed Forces Minister, and a Chief of the Defence Staff warning that Britain can barely afford to train its own troops, world leaders are greeting him with what Sir David Davis bluntly calls "ill-disguised pity."Former head of the British Army, Lord Dannatt, joins Julia in the studio to dissect the defence spending catastrophe, drawing a chilling parallel with 1935 — the last time Britain was this exposed. He warns that if we fail to deter Russia now, the cost of hot war will be one hundred times greater than what we are currently refusing to spend.Sir David Davis tears into the Iran deal, calling it a "pathetic negotiation" that has handed Tehran a revenue stream it never knew it had, set a dangerous precedent over international waters, and left Gulf states quietly furious.Plus — Starmer's social media ban for under-16s: good intentions or yet another half-baked headline grabber with zero detail?Julia Hartley-Brewer broadcasts on Talk from Monday to Thursday, 10AM to 1PM. A group of 32 congressional Democrats is calling for the Federal Aviation Administration to help hold Immigration and Customs Enforcement accountable following reports that the Department of Homeland Security unit is withholding aviation data. While deportation flights significantly increased last year, data about the air operations is difficult to find, according to the House members' letter to FAA Administrator Bryan Bedford. The representatives are asking for a detailed report about ICE's use of the Limiting Aircraft Data Displayed (LADD) program and whether the FAA is aware of additional data-suppression methods contributing to the decreased transparency. The program “was established to enable private aircraft owners and operators of non-commercial flights to filter their flight data from public display websites,” the coalition said in the letter sent Monday. “ICE's use of this program to obscure routine government operations and suppress information about deportation flights is out of the scope of this program, and therefore inappropriate and dangerous.” The price tag for the Golden Dome for America could reach $1.2 trillion to develop, deploy and operate over 20 years, according to a new report published Tuesday by the Congressional Budget Office. The updated cost estimate is based on a “notional” missile defense architecture that broadly includes capabilities outlined in President Donald Trump's 2025 executive order calling for Golden Dome's development. CBO's projections are significantly larger than the $185 billion already budgeted for the project — with space-based interceptors (SBIs) accounting for over half of the office's estimate. “Of the $1.2 trillion amount, acquisition costs for the notional [national missile defense] system would total just over $1 trillion,” the report stated. “The most expensive component is the space-based interceptor layer, which accounts for about 70 percent of acquisition costs and 60 percent of total costs.” The Daily Scoop Podcast is available every Monday-Friday afternoon. In this episode of the show, Stu and Raj discuss the second week of IPL 2026, focusing on RCB v MI, GT v LSG, RR sitting at the top of the ladder and a few other things that have caught their eye so far. We start the show by discussing RCB's most recent victory over the Mumbai Indians. Did Stu make a huge mistake leaving RCB out of his pre-tournament top 4? It's certainly looking that way after Phil Salt joined Rajat Patidar, Virat Kohli, Tim David and friends in finding the middle of his bat. Josh Hazelwood has returned too, but how much will he play? For Mumbai, is it time to sound the alarm? Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult aren't taking wickets, Mitchell Santner's bowling in the powerplay, Rohit Sharma is injured and they find themselves near the bottom of the ladder despite their star-studded lineup. Can they bounce back? Or are these losses a sign of things to come? As we turn our attention to GT v LSG, we also look back at Gujarat's final-ball thriller against the Delhi Capitals, which saw Prasidh Krishna and Jos Buttler combine to thwart David Miller's late flurry. We discuss Rashid Khan's early form, then agree that GT is on the improve and LSG are a good but not great side. Next, it's the table-topping Rajasthan Royals in the spotlight, particularly their openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and the moustachioed Yashasvi Jaiswal. Is it realistic to think they could they finish the season as the best openers from an impressive collection in IPL 2026? Finally, Raj asks Stu's thoughts on the Sunrisers Hyderabad's start to the season and we bounce around a few quick notes, including Sanju Samson's impressive hundred that saw CSK capture their first win of the season. We'll be back in your feed again soon with more cricket news, including plenty of IPL coverage and the upcoming NZ tours. On this week's episode of "Sykes & Lewis," Charlie and Matt discuss the following:— Trump's contradictory goals, from “regime change” to “Venezuela model” puppetry— Why this feels like a war of choice with no clear rationale — preemptive? Distraction? Personal vendetta? — there's no coherent endgame as casualties mount and the conflict spreads— Warnings of depleted U.S. resources, torched American credibility, and the moral equivalence to rogue actions abroad— A raw, unfiltered conservative critique of hubris, projection, and reckless decisions in a “pointless war”— Bonus: Charlie and Matt take a quick pivot to Texas Senate primary drama (Republicans Ken Paxton vs. John Cornyn vibes, and Democrats Jasmine Crockett vs. James Tallarico) as a potential Senate control wildcard amid national crisis— And MUCH more!Subscribe to Matt Lewis on Substack: https://mattklewis.substack.com/Support Matt Lewis at Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/mattlewisFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MattLewisDCTwitter: https://twitter.com/mattklewisInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/mattlewisreels/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVhSMpjOzydlnxm5TDcYn0A– Who is Matt Lewis? –Matt K. Are we drifting from Christ while calling it growth? In this sobering and timely episode of the Eyes on Jesus Podcast, Drew and Tim sound the alarm for the Church in a distracted, comfortable, and noisy world. They call believers back to the basics of revival—repentance, prayer, Scripture, and true intimacy with God—challenging the idea that effectiveness always equals faithfulness. This conversation confronts the danger of trading Christ-centered devotion for systems, strategies, and cultural approval. With urgency and pastoral honesty, this episode presses listeners to examine personal discipline, leadership influence, and spiritual complacency. From calling out distraction and undisciplined faith to reminding believers that legacy is built through obedience, Drew and Tim urge the Church to wake up before it's too late. Revival doesn't start with better programs—it starts with surrendered hearts. In this episode of Thinking Out Loud, Nathan Rittenhouse sits down in Kona, Hawaii with Lindsey from the YWAM Countercultural School of Apologetics to unpack one of the biggest questions facing the modern church: how should Christians navigate influencer culture, online discipleship, and the tension between digital convenience and real spiritual formation? Lindsey and Nathan explore the rise of untrained “Christian influencers,” the responsibility of discernment, the longing for embodied community, the need for multi-generational mentorship, and the subtle dangers of intellectual shortcuts in the age of AI and endless content. Their conversation invites believers into deeper thinking, meaningful connection, and a return to slow, faithful discipleship rooted in the local church. TALK TO ME, TEXT ITA quiet Thanksgiving Eve turns into a sharp tour through community trust, political surprise, and holiday boundaries. We open with a stark update on a missing small-town football coach who fled as investigators moved in on alleged child pornography and solicitation charges. The story forces a hard look at how leaders are vetted, what flight might signal, and how a tight-knit town pivots from pride to suspicion when the facts get dark and emotions run high. Then we widen the lens to an unexpected political twist: the Communist Party USA appears on ballots again after decades and secures small but notable wins. We unpack why local races matter so much, how symbolism shapes voter reactions, and where media narratives feed selective outrage. Along the way we wrestle with praise, sarcasm, and the double standards that dominate public life—who gets grace, and who gets dragged—for the same behavior. Finally, we bring it home with a candid look at hosting during the holidays. A fresh survey says most people hit their limit at six days for houseguests, with fewer grace days for in-laws and more for kids and parents. We talk hotels versus spare rooms, the dignity of personal space, and how clear boundaries can keep love intact when the guest list grows. It's a conversation about consent and capacity—from the headlines on your feed to the people on your couch. If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend who's prepping guest towels, and leave a quick review. I'm recording from the road in Canton, Ohio, because this can't wait. We're watching anti-Semitism re-enter mainstream discourse, and it's more than politics—it's a theological drift. I walk you through Scripture (Romans 11, Genesis 12:3), explain how “replacement theology” sneaks in under trendy slogans, and call the Church to clarity, courage, and civic stewardship. Bring your Bible and a pen—this is a wake-up episode.Prime Sponsor: No matter where you live, visit the Functional Medical Institute online today to connect with Drs Mark and Michele Sherwood. The advocacy group, Tewa Women United, is warning nearby Pueblo citizens and other local residents about Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in New Mexico releasing gas containing the weak radioactive substance, tritium. The group says, despite assurances by lab experts and regulators that the substance is safe in relatively small doses, it is a dangerous substance and could pose a threat to pregnant women and others. Tritium is a naturally occuring substance, but is also produced in quantities during nuclear power generation and is a key component in nuclear weapons. LANL says it is forced to release the radioactive gas because the containers they've been in for decades pose a risk. We'll discuss what tritium does and whatever threat, if any, it poses. GUESTS Marissa Naranjo (Santa Clara Pueblo), deputy director of Sovereign Energy and a board member for Honor Our Pueblo Existence (HOPE) Pat Moss, deputy manager of National Nuclear Security Administration's Los Alamos field office Arjun Makhijani, Ph.D. in nuclear fusion from the University of California at Berkeley and the president of the Institute of Energy and Environmental Research Martha Izenson, a tribal attorney for the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation
