In a day much like Jeroboam's, where false prophets and a sexualized, idolatrous culture compromise even the professing church (2 Peter 2:1), God calls fathers to rise up as the heads of their households. When Warren Jeffs, the “prophet” of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (FLDS), a Mormon fundamentalist group whose members practice polygamy, stopped communicating regularly from prison where he is serving a life sentence for child sexual assault, his followers were at a loss.
