This was bitter sweat. We were happy using my new podcast studio  for the first time along with starting to film each one to add to my YouTube channel. Then we talked to Ryan Kenna's family. I was talking to Ryan thropugh IG awhile ago about trying to get him to be pumped on sobriety and telling him that he could beat his drug addiction if he wanted to. Ryan got sober for 5 months until he relapsed and his father found him on the side of the house died from an accidental overdose. We talk to his whole family in this episode to bring attenetion to shady rehabs, the drug epidemic and exactly where drugs will lead you if you dont change your ways and get sober from being an addict. I pray that this story will help one person out there in need, and turn this horrible story into a hint of a better one.

Started my relationship with Lonny there and then found out he has an amazing story of recovery. So here it is. Another human showing us that it is possible to beat drugalcohol addiction.

My co-host Russ and I did a live podcastinterview at New Origins Rehab with KORN's bass guitarist musician legend Brian "HEAD" Welch and his daughter Jennea. Before we sat down to do this interview we all watched their new documentary "Loud Krazy Love" which was so powerful in so many ways. It showed how his meth addiction took everything he had in his life while being one of the most biggest and successful rockstars of his time. Becoming a father changed his life eventually getting clean and finding God which saved his life. His story is so amazing how you can truly be on top of the world and a substance that you can get hooked on can rob you from everything good you have going in you life. It was a true honor getting to speak with Brian and his daughter. There new documentery is a must-watch video that will definitely touch you. Here is our interview, ENJOY!

This was a really good episode with Mark Scheeren and his view on how the typical ways of getting sober with rehab and the 12 steps is not the answer. Mark has been doing research on recovery for the past 30 years and thinks he has a whole new direction on getting your life back from drug and alcohol addiction. He  has written a book and has his own retreat for the suffering addict. It was such a hot debate that I had to get Ronn Honn owner New Origins Rehab to get his take on what Mark was saying. I may not have agreed on everything Mark was saying but by the end, it really made me start to think that maybe he could be right. See what you guys think after this one.

You might know Brondon Novac from MTV's "Viva La Bam", or "Jack Ass". On top of that he was on his way to becoming a top skate board rider as a kid until he went down the dark path of addiction. Brandon was a guy that was down so deep that I really think no one thought he was gonna survive his drugalcochol addiction. After the 13th attempt at rehab he has made a complete 360 in life and is back on top with so much more. He is now a huge advocate in drug and alcohol addiction speaking throughout the world giving hope to the struggling addict. I really think you will gain a lot from his story and am very honored to call Brandon a good fiend.

I interviewed former supercrossmotocross star Nico Izzi a few months back when he just got into prison from getting into some serous trouble with the law from his drugalcohol addiction (episode #7). It was very rough for him facing the music from what his addiction led him too. He has a clearer mindset on what he did and what his life has become all from his addictions. This interview went a lot better and you can really tell that he wants to give sobriety a fighting chance to get his life back. I really wanted to do this to show that you can have it all and in almost every case drugs and alcohol will rob you from it. I pray that Nico will come out a new man and rise up from this even stronger.

https://talkingsobriety.wpcomstaging.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/12/nico-izzi-final.mp3 Every episode isn’t just about success stories and how great sobriety is. For me and many others, we had to go through some crazy things to even become lucky enough to get and stay sober. This is a story of a top professional supercross and motocross rider Nico Izz, who had it all and was making his way to become the next champion of his sport. Through many injuries and then getting addicted to painkillers which lead to addiction like how it happens to 95% of other professional athletes. Nico then got sober foe a small period of time and one day thought he could handle a beer like most addicts think. The thing is, is that never works and lead him into a darker path of becoming an alcoholic and getting himself into some serious trouble with the law landing him in prison which could end up being 10 years. Nico had it all like I once did and I should be where he is. I want you to learn from his story if anyone is dealing with addiction to show how bad it can get even if you have it all. Nico is a great human and addiction robbed him of his life but am sure when he gets out he will turn it around with sobriety and learn a serious lesson from his actions. I also talk to his mother, Betsy Izzi which was a hard one to hear a mothers view just knowing what I put my parents though. I hate drugs and alcohol, period!
