Motos&Friends is brought to you by Daytona Bike Week Teejay Adams recently rode three entry- intermediate-level Hondas: the Rebel 300 with e-clutch; the CB650R also with e-clutch, and the NC750X with DCT. In the first segment this episode, Teejay tells us what an e-clutch and DCT are, and also what she thought of these three bikes and how they handle this exciting new technology. Even if you're a seasoned rider, you will still want to hear all about e-clutches and DCT, it might be exactly what you want even though you don't know it yet! * * * * * In this episode's Snippet Janet Kersey and Brain Bentley from the Daytona Beach Visitors Bureau, tell us about this upcoming 85th Annual Daytona Beach Bike Week, one of the world's premier motorcycle events. Here's a bit of trivia I'll bet you don't know—Janet Kersey was the lady who started the Daytona Beach Biketoberfest over 30 years ago! So she knows both Bike Week events incredibly well. Janet and Brian tell us all about what you can expect this upcoming Bike Week. Not just the events and local scenic rides, but also the jam-packed schedule of races including the 56th annual DAYTONA Supercross and the historic DAYTONA 200. So for more information including lodging availability, events, vendors, parking and more, go to OfficialBikeWeek.com or call the Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce at 386-255-0981. We'll see you there! * * * * * In the second segment this episode, I chat with Andy Jefferson, from both KTM and Husqvarna. Andy got his first motorcycle in 1970, and after years racing locally on the high desert tracks of Southern California, Andy started riding AMA Nationals and Supercross events on a Husqvarna for Pro Circuit's Mitch Payton. His teammates included Jeff Jennings and Troy Lee. Sadly, knee injuries eventually ended Andy's Pro racing career, but as determined as he is, he finally got his chance to work at Husqvarna overseeing the service, aftermarket parts, and customer relations department. In 2013, Andy became Media Relations Manager for all the motorcycle brands including KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas. His long history as a racer includes an Over 40 World Vet Championship, and in 2024 he was inducted into the Legends and Heroes Moto Museum. * * * * * Here's a quick reminder to leave us your comments on our social media—we're on all the usual platforms at Ultimate Motorcycling. We love hearing your feedback… so good or bad, please let us know what you think. If there's something you'd like us to cover, we'd love to hear those ideas too! @ultimatemotorcycling @UltimateMotoMag @UltimateMotorcycling producer@ultimatemotorcycling.com

This was meant to be a simple catch-up. It wasn't.A Christmas episode filmed after Christmas, at 7am, with zero patience and way too much honesty. Old KTM deals get dragged back up, friendships are tested, and we get stuck into Supercross predictions for the season ahead. We talk Tomac, Sexton, Deegan, Roxen, why this SX season feels wide open, and why rider loyalty means absolutely nothing once results dip. There's also plenty on motocross vs enduro, crashing, broken bones, bad decisions, and why some arguments never die.If you like real talk, chaos, and moto conversations that don't follow a script, this one's for you.Drop your Supercross predictions in the comments and tell us who's in the right about the KTM story.➕ https://kecks.uk➕ FOLLOW US: Billy: https://www.instagram.com/billybolt57Ed: https://www.instagram.com/eddie_large1Tommy: https://www.instagram.com/tommysearle100➕ You can also support us on Patreon https://www.patreon.com/2pro1slow Hosted on Acast. Presented by 6D Helmets Unless you're one of the elite few who earn a factory ride, racing Supercross and motocross professionally is not sustainable for years on end. Finding a career that keeps you involved in the sport you love is the dream for most racers when they retire, but even that can be a challenge. Jared Hicks was a Supercross privateer who teamed up with German privateer Philipp Klakow to start a custom graphics company to support their racing habit, way back in 2011. These days, Backyard Design USA has grown exponentially, and Hicks and Klakow are working full-time to grow their company from both sides of the globe. Hicks is also one of Dirt Bike Magazine's staple test riders, so he still gets to spend plenty of time in the saddle of a motocross bike. Jared joins us on this week's 6D Helmets Midweek Podcast for a super-enjoyable chat!

Roger Vieira is back on The Ride Companion and this time it's a completely different chapter! Roger Vieira & Pivot Factory Racing was one of the best stories to come out of the 2025 season. Last time Roger sat in the studio he was questioning whether a factory ride would ever happen, then just weeks later he found himself in Poland racing a brand new bike with barely any testing and suddenly living the dream he'd chased for over a decade. In this episode we unpack that entire whirlwind year, the real difference between "puzzling" as a privateer and "dialling" as a factory rider, battling imposter syndrome, learning to trust the data and the team, and how mindset plays as big a role as fitness. We also dive into Roger's massive Genova street race win on the Pivot Firebird, why that result meant so much to him and the team and how it helped prove he truly belonged at factory level. To top it all off, Roger reveals he's now secured a two year Pivot Factory Racing deal, quit the day job, and is heading into his first ever proper off-season with Queenstown, California and Supercross trips on the horizon. Presented by 6D Helmets Jerry Robin has long been a fixture on the pro motocross and Supercross circuit, as one of the sport's most prominent privateer racers. His life took a drastic turn on April 19th, though, when he crashed during practice at the East Rutherford Supercross and suffered paralyzing injuries. Through it all, Robin has approached his recovery, therapy, and new life path with the same intensity that brought him success on the racetrack, and only eight months post-injury, he seems to have his new life pretty well figured out. Last week, Robin started a job with his sponsor, FXR Racing, the Canadian MX apparel brand that has made huge strides in American motocross. We caught up with Jerry this afternoon for a super enjoyable conversation.

Presented by 6D HelmetsWhether Dave Castillo's name rings a bell for you or not, we're willing to bet that you have unknowingly enjoyed his work in one way or another. A professional racer in the 90s, Castillo is the son of Jim Castillo, founder of Innovation Sports, the brand that practically invented knee bracing. After curtailing his full-time racing efforts, Dave teamed up with his dad to create Asterisk, the most successful off-the-shelf knee brace company in our sport. Concurrently, Dave began a career in Hollywood as a stuntman. Early on, Castillo specialized in two-wheeled stunts, but eventually grew into other aspects of the industry, including stunt coordinating. Currently, Dave is still busy in Hollywood and remains connected with his motocross roots by racing the annual Day in the Dirt Motocross Grand Prix that started out as a Hollywood stunt event, but also with his family company Intake Breathing, which produces the breathing kit that utilizes two small stick-on steel discs and a magnetic nose clip that expands your nasal passages.
