Send us a text Sporting clays as a whole, is growing. Where we are headed, can be down the right path, or the complete wrong turn. Much like our own personal performance, we often turn to someone who has been there and done that, to give us guidance. So why not consult someone from a sport that was in the same growing phase years ago, that we are in now. Enter David Pingree. David was a professional Motocross and Supercross racer that watched the sport of Supercross grow from its humble roots in the late 80's/early 90's, to what it is today, which is a multi billion dollar industry. Where they were in the late 80's, is comparable to where our sport is now. So, Jason flew to California to take David shooting and give him some context for the podcast. David had some very interesting advice and things to beware of as we grow. Not to mention, David prides himself on being politically incorrect, so this episode is very entertaining as well!DEAD PAIR / KOLAR DRAWING - https://e.givesmart.com/events/HpS/i/_All/u1g0/?search= -- - - - - Kolar Arms - https://www.kolararms.com- Fiocchi USA - https://fiocchiusa.com- Atlas Traps - https://www.atlastraps.com- Rhino Chokes - https://rhinochokes.com- Ranger Shooting Eyewear - https://www.reranger.comRanger 10% Discount = DEADPAIR - Taconic Distillery - https://www.spirits.taconicdistillery.com/ Discount code -DEADPAIR10- Long Range - https://www.longrangellc.com- Score Chaser - https://scorechaser.com/- National Sporting Clays Association - https://nssa-nsca.org/- Clay Range Design Works - https://traptowers.comSupport the showThe Dead Pair Podcast - https://thedeadpair.com FACEBOOK- https://www.facebook.com/Thedeadpair. Send us a textOriginally from Denver, CO, Dylan Wineland is an award-winning cinematographer now residing in Salt Lake City, Utah. In today's episode, we dive into Dylan's journey and unexpected path to becoming a commercial DP (Director of Photography), all of which came to be thanks to dirt bikes. Dylan grew up riding and racing dirt bikes against the likes of Eli Tomac, Jason Anderson, and Justin Bogle. While Dylan didn't have quite the career that the aforementioned did, he was able to race locally in the A class against the likes of future professional Supercross and motocross racers, Derek Anderson and Todd Bannister. We also spend time talking about his steps to becoming a cinematographer, working on season one of The Spectrum Series alongside me, his time interning at Brain Farm, and eventually working for commercial clients such as Ford Motor Co., Toyota USA, BF Goodrich, The Olympics, KN Filters, Polaris, and more. Dale Earnhardt Jr. sets out to learn more about the world of motorcycle racing as he sits down with championship rider Aaron Plessinger. He recounts his worst injuries, biggest struggles and greatest accomplishments in the Dirty Mo Media Studio. Regarded as a fan favorite on the AMA Supercross and Motocross circuits, Aaron grew up around the sport thanks to his father Scott, who was a champion off-road motorcyclist himself. Aaron explains that he followed in his father's footsteps into the off-road world in the Grand National Cross Country Series, but ended up giving motocross a serious try and found a knack for it. He would get noticed during an event at Loretta Lynn's Ranch and sign a deal with a factory Yamaha team, Star Racing.Dale and Aaron discuss the different forms of motorcycle racing and how prevalent injuries are in the sport. Aaron explains that racers rarely complete the entire season due to the likelihood of getting hurt, and he shares stories of some of the attrition he's faced over the years. The guys also chat about the training motocross racers go through and how bike setup and crew chiefs make a difference in the sport. Dale asks Aaron about the difference between good and great riders, to which he explains that confidence and mental toughness plays a major role in racing success. They relate over the pressure that professional racers face and methods they've used to overcome nervousness while competing.
