My Great Grandmother is a trip! She just turned 88 on Dec 24 and she's still driving! Her first vehicle, a tractor. Well today, I found myself in her passenger seat and it's always a good laugh and today I needed one. The way she yanked that steering wheel away from that drive through line at McDonalds today mane I hollered! So today I got my 2nd external hard drive in the mail and as I look at it I'm inspired of the story of what it's twin hard drive went through before it arrived today. The only reason why I purchased this shiny version of the hard drive is because I couldn't find the cord for the one that now compared to its fresh out of the box counterpart "looks like what it's been through". So many frustrating moments came, it fell apart, was often times just laying around collecting dust but I knew what it was capable of and knew to keep up with it that one day I might actually need it. When that day came I couldn't find the cord. Go figure so instead of buying a completely separate hard drive I went back to my order history on Amazon and purchased a duplicate. Even though they are valued the same, sold at the same price, something about the first hard drive is more sentimental to me because it went through what I went through with me. It was right here through all of the painstaking nights and can witness to every ache and pain. It never left my room because I was going through it or had more important hard drive stuff to do. I hope that someone considers their Day 1 & Originals when the shiny new version shows up in the mail. Its nothing wrong with making new connections and honestly I needed a new hard drive to even make the connection with my original hard drive possible. So networking is good but don't belittle your base just because something new came, fresh out the box. This is the story of the my first moments home from the VA Hospital after finally finding some relief after the most difficult holiday season of my life. I thought I was dying. Well, its Colitis and still will be the most pain and illness I've ever experienced on this Earth. I didn't think there was any coming back from such sickness but I'm healed. On the road to a full recovery. So the 12 days of Christmas culminate with, Epiphany, the day that the wisemen recognize the baby born in Bethlehem as the Lamb of God. Can you get on Christmas day unless until January 8 Each day remembering or celebrating a prominent Christian figure from the early church. Well today I had my own personal Epiphany and it's E X F R E M E L Y funny looking back on it but dealing with it and dealing with it for as long as I dealt with it was truly a struggle. Well, a lot went on just for me to be able to get back to my desk today. As I sit here right now I think about everything that I have on my agenda this upcoming Christmas season. I'm working on a Christmas book and last night I purchased Christmas lights which would hopefully spread a little bit of Christmas cheer. Chitterlings. Mustard, Hot Sauce & Vinegar is how this Memphian likes his southern delicacy. This year, he stepped into the shoes of Chef and prepared six buckets of em' for his Mom & Sister to enjoy on this Thanksgiving. I'm going to be speaking with my Great Grandmother about her recipe and we will compare notes on process before the day is over. I will also be sharing a conversation that I had earlier during this week with my favorite Grandmother followed by Thanksgiving at my Sister's Amber. She has a pecan pie that she made not knowing it'd be just for me. finally will wrap up this Thanksgiving Holiday with the Reigning Queen of the Kitchen herself, Ms. Carolyn. WREG News confirms that Rapper Young Dolph, Adolph Robert Thornton Jr, was buying cookies at Makeda's Butter Cookies at about 1pm Wednesday when a gunman drove up and shot through the window. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thedailyduh/message

On this day, the world lost a true hero, he was my cousin and his name is Earnest "Paul" Hatton Sr. Gunned down by an irate tenant with an Ak-47 firing 32 rounds into his larger than life frame. May he Rest In Peace and I'm sure he is being received with "well done my good and faithful servant". Paul was a great human being, loving husband, devout father and amazing family member. I didn't think I'd live to see the sunlight because I was in so much pain unlike anything I've ever felt before.
