This is a live recording of a the final sermon I preached in 2024 at GCFirst Assembly of God where I pastor. Unfortunately due to internet issues we were unable to stream the service so I quickly grabbed a wireless mic and hit record on my phone. The big idea of this message is that we can enter a new year ready to walk in obedience, wisdom, love and light that are from our Heavenly Father. We can start the new year intentionally, being diligent to follow Him wholly.

Why does holiness matter? Isn't holiness just about how we dress and if women wear make up or not? Holiness is so much more than that and our own personal holiness matters so much to God! Words matter so much. If we aren't careful, our words can bring emotions to the receiver that we may or may not have intended. Likewise, if we who are receiving aren't careful, we can perceive words in a way that they may or may not have been intended. Love. It's wonderful and confusing and tender and reckless. It can be seen in the smile of a new mom, a proud dad, a bride and groom. But there is no other love that left all the power and comfort of royalty to live like every other human, never making a mistake, who gave their life to pay the penalty for all humanity's sins for all time.
