Description:For 15 years, Tim Schraeder Rodriguez quietly shaped the digital face of some of the biggest names in evangelical Christianity — Willow Creek, Hillsong, Elevation — helping mega-churches reach millions with a message of radical welcome. The painful irony? He was living proof of their unspoken rules. Useful in the shadows. Unacceptable in the light. In this conversation, Tim joins Jen and Amy to talk about his new memoir, Conversion Therapy Dropout, and the full arc of his story: growing up adopted with a sense of "anxious apartness," signing the purity pledge as a kid who already knew he was gay, eight years in the loosely-held and deeply damaging world of conversion therapy, and eventually a breaking point that brought him to his knees — and then, slowly, to himself.Today, the conversation swirls around what conversion therapy actually looks like from the inside (football coaches, Mary Kay consultants, and all), the complicated grief of leaving a community that was also your career and your family, how the Pulse Orlando shooting became Tim's personal line in the sand, and what it took to find his way back to faith — this time, in church basements with other sober queer people finding a God of their own understanding. They also get into the current state of conversion therapy in America, why it's more active and accessible than most people realize, and what the rest of us — regular people who just live on their street and go to their jobs — can actually do about it.This one is hard and beautiful and hopeful. Don't miss it.Thought-provoking Quotes:★ "I was living proof of their unspoken rules. I was useful in the shadows, but unacceptable in the light." – Tim Schraeder Rodriguez★ "It really kind of disintegrates you in body, mind and spirit because you're acting and being something and someone that you're not." – Tim Schraeder Rodriguez★ "Freedom wasn't finally becoming who they said I was supposed to be, but finally embracing who I believe God created me to be." – Tim Schraeder Rodriguez★ "More transformation was happening in church basements than was ever happening upstairs." – Tim Schraeder Rodriguez★ "I finally feel like I'm living from a place of honesty and truth. I sense and feel God's presence with me today now more as an openly gay man than I ever did in the years I was in conversion therapy." – Tim Schraeder Rodriguez Resources Mentioned in This Episode:➢ Dissenting Harmony - Amy's Rage Choir - https://dissentingharmony.betterworld.org/➢ Conversion Therapy Dropout: A Queer Story of Faith and Belonging by Timothy Schraeder Rodriguez - https://amzn.to/48smCCv➢ Conversion Therapy Dropout audiobook - https://amzn.to/3OZULmD➢ Exodus International - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exodus_International➢ The Trevor Project — thetrevorproject.org➢ ...

As we prepare for these juggernauts to go public, I'm reminded of Yahoo, Excite, and AOL who dominated the first four years of the internet. Despite their lead, Google stole the market away. Could the same thing happen again? The argument is not that these companies aren't powerful, but rather that they're so committed to their current path that they may miss the big opportunity in the future. If you look at HR 2030 and what we want to do with enterprise AI, the ability to generate code, graphics, and text may not be what we need. And our new research on Galileo business modeling is starting to pan this out. Now that AI prices are high, we all have to look for bigger use-cases for agents. In this podcast I explain what “Dynamic Enablement for Growth” really means and how LLMs only take us so far, with a new frontier yet to come. As always I welcome opinions and feedback on this thesis. Additional Information To Come…. Get Galileo and see business modeling in action. Everyone knows Margaret River. But just north of one of Australia's most famous wine regions sits Geographe — home to passionate growers, boutique producers and some of the country's best-value wines. After discovering a Geographe Chardonnay by chance, Angus found himself heading down a rabbit hole of wines from a region he'd barely explored before. A few weeks later, a chance meeting at the Good Food & Wine Show led to this conversation with Ryan from Aylesbury Estate.Joined by Master Sommelier Carlos Santos, the team explores what makes Geographe one of Australia's most exciting emerging wine regions. Stretching between Perth and Margaret River, Geographe combines coastal influence, elevated vineyard sites and a growing reputation for exceptional Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and alternative grape varieties.Ryan shares his family's 150-year farming story, explains why Geographe consistently overdelivers on value and discusses the collaborative spirit driving the region's future.Along the way, the team tastes wines from Aylesbury Estate, Willow Bridge Estate and Vineyard 28 while discussing why Australian wine lovers should be paying much closer attention to what's happening north of Margaret River. If you've never explored Geographe wines before, this episode might just convince you to start.Check out all the wineries (and visit them) here: https://www.geographewine.com.au/visit-our-region/ In this episode:

You're not stuck because you're lazy. You're stuck because the support you picked doesn't match the stage you're actually in. In this episode, I walk through the three financial phases I've watched business owners move through over 11 years at Kickstart: Foundation (where you need clean books and visibility), Empowered (where you start using your numbers to lead), and Elevation (where you bring in forecasting and strategy). The phases aren't tied to revenue, they're tied to how you lead and how you make decisions. Once you know which phase you're actually in, you can stop chasing random financial advice and finally get the support that fits. In this episode of CEO Numbers Network, I break down what each phase looks like in real life, the signs that tell you which one you're in, and the kind of support that makes sense at each stage. You will learn how to spot the phase you're in, why DIYing the wrong solution keeps you stuck, and what financial leadership looks like once your books are no longer the bottleneck. If you have ever followed financial advice that worked for someone else but didn't move the needle for you, this episode will explain why and give you a clearer path forward.
This lesson, "Taken Out of Context The Costs of God's Elevation," redefines a common linguistic phrase into a powerful spiritual metaphor. Just as taking a quote out of context strips it of its original environment, God often takes his people "out of context"—removing them from familiar surroundings, comforts, and relationships—to prepare them for elevation. Through the lives of Esther and Joseph, this study explores the isolation, preparation, and costs associated with godly promotion, emphasizing that true elevation requires divine timing, submission to the process, and an unwavering commitment to give god the glory.

The Denver fix and flip market 2026 is producing a strange combination. Strong showing activity and soft offer volume. One Arvada property sat through 57 showings in 44 days. The deal that finally came in fell apart when the buyer’s grandmother refused to release the down payment. That’s the market Derek Marlin is navigating right now. Derek Marlin founded Elevation in 2014. The company does fix and flips, wholesaling, fee-based project management, and runs a brokerage team at eXp. He also runs the Elevation Academy and the Broadway Collective, a Denver co-work space that recently hit 100% occupancy. His team runs 3 company flips at a time and operates at roughly 85% off-market acquisition volume. In this conversation, Derek Marlin and Chris break down the Denver fix and flip market 2026 from the ground up. Motivated sellers are still anchored to 2021 valuations. Carrying costs add up fast when deals drag 6 weeks longer than planned. Derek also walks through his 4-offer model. It gives sellers a cash offer, a fix-in option, a fee-based consulting path, or a partnership flip. The partnership flip now requires putting the seller on title in an LLC before Elevation funds the rehab. That change came after too many sellers changed their minds mid-project. This week we're sipping Tin Cup Fourteen, the Mount Sneffels release, and following a thread that ties straight back to last week's pour. Same Colorado founder, a different bottle, and a story that wanders from a ghost town saloon at ten thousand feet to a Jules Verne novel that somehow ended up on a Colorado license plate. There's a high-rye mash bill aged fourteen years, a tiny splash of single malt hiding inside, and a mountain named after an Icelandic volcano because a surveyor in 1874 was apparently really into science fiction.Pour something interesting. What if the pressure to sound like the biggest worship churches in the world is actually working against your congregation? In this episode I sit down with Kelsey McGinnis, writer for Christianity Today, professor at Grand View University, and musicologist who studies worship culture from a genuinely unique outside perspective. We talk about the history of worship music, why we're all a little timestamped by the music that first moved us, the real cost of chasing excellence over obedience, and why writing songs for your own church might be one of the most powerful things you can do.This one is full of honest conversation and real hope for anyone who leads music in the church.Called to Music. What if the pyramid isn't the machine? What if the true design of Giza lies hidden in the plateau itself? For centuries, the pyramids of Giza have been studied as isolated monuments—tombs, symbols, or feats of ancient engineering. Yet key features remain unresolved: the subterranean chamber deep below, the purpose of the Well Shaft, hidden internal voids, and the precise relationship between structure and bedrock. What if these are not separate mysteries—but parts of a single system? The Giza System introduces a new perspective: that the function of Giza may not reside in the pyramid alone, but in what is concealed beneath and surrounding it. It proposes that the plateau itself may have been architecturally engineered to interact with water, integrating stone, elevation, and flow into a unified design. In this view, familiar features begin to shift in meaning—less as isolated spaces, more as elements within a larger process. Subsurface chambers, internal pathways, and surrounding geology suggest coordination, not coincidence.Elevation becomes critical.Position, depth, and relationship begin to matter in ways often overlooked. At the same time, the model opens a broader question: whether architecture and cosmology were conceived together—echoing the ancient concept of Nun, the primordial waters—not only symbolically, but functionally. In this light, traditional interpretations need not be discarded; funerary purpose and hydraulic design may coexist within the same architecture, serving layered roles rather than a single explanation. This is not a claim of lost technology—but a reframing of what may already be present.Drawing on architectural observation, geological context, and comparisons with other ancient sites, The Giza System outlines a model that is both grounded and testable—one that invites exploration rather than final answers. If this perspective is correct, then Giza was not built simply to endure. It may have been designed to operate. And what has been hidden in plain sight… may have been there by design.Brian Pharoah is a Canadian architectural designer with over 35 years of experience in residential design and construction, specializing in large custom luxury homes across Canada. Trained in classical architecture, his work is grounded in geometry, proportion, and the relationship between structure and environment. He approaches design as a disciplined process of visualizing and constructing space through measurement, mathematics, and three-dimensional reasoning. He is the author of two books on the Oak Island mystery, exploring themes of sacred geometry, numerical systems, and the possibility of encoded knowledge within historical structures. His work investigates how underlying mathematical principles—often described as Logos—may inform both architectural form and cultural symbolism.Over the past decade, Brian has extended this architectural approach to the study of ancient megalithic sites, with a particular focus on the Giza Plateau. His research examines the pyramids and surrounding structures not as isolated monuments, but as components of a coordinated landscape shaped by elevation, geology, and groundwater conditions. Through analysis of structural alignments, chamber elevations, and subsurface features, he explores the possibility that water played a fundamental role in the design and organization of the site.Rather than opposing traditional interpretations, Brian's work seeks to expand them—exploring how architecture, environmental forces, and ancient Egyptian cosmology, including concepts such as Nun, Osiris, and rebirth, may operate together within a unified framework. His research integrates architectural analysis with archaeological and geological data, offering a new perspective on how physical processes and symbolic meaning may intersect at Giza.Brian has been featured on The Curse of Oak Island and has appeared on multiple podcasts discussing his research. He is the author of The Giza System, a comprehensive architectural study presenting this evolving interpretation of the Giza Plateau.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/earth-ancients--2790919/support.
eVTOL developers promise thousands of aircraft by the start of next decade, but is this realistic?I am not even talking about the long and costly certification processes, let's assume, for the sake of simplicity, that this is sorted. What about the capacity of aerospace supply chains, already strained trying to cope with the demand from traditional aircraft makers, to serve this new growth market? Are the current processes and technologies flexible enough to respond to this market demand? We are going to talk about all this with this episode's guest, Stefan Schamberger, an aerospace supply chain expert who knows the world of aerostructures manufacturing inside out.In this industry analysis writings, Stefan raises also an interesting point: what if the ultimate value delivered by the whole advanced air mobility (AAM) revolution was to facilitate the advent of the new generation mid-sized airliner which both Boeing and Airbus are aiming to launch some time in the middle of the next decade? How transfereable are skills and technologies between the “old” and “new” aerospace industries?Tune in for a fascinating chat about the industrial processes and infrastructure that make today's aerospace industry possible!

What does it mean for a human to elevate? Esoteric pursuits are often associated with ancient mystery schools that promise to teach an initiate their secret knowledge. But, of course, you can't walk in the door and be told the meanings of life. There is a rite of passage, an apprenticeship, a service required to earn the right to access sacred knowledge. Importantly, true sacred knowledge offers energetic potency, so the rite of passage is also a process of naturalizing a person to higher energies and frequencies, so that they will be able to handle more potency without getting out of balance. This is the esoteric journey, but we recognize the process from everyday life. If you want to be a race car driver, you don't start in a car that goes 200 miles per hour — you learn in less powerful cars and learn to handle them, moving up as you gain skills and stability. You don't start as a head chef; you chop 10,000 onions first. So, how do we apply this understanding to our life? In this episode of Current Openings (#24), Aviv Shahar and David Price Francis make a foray into codifying the mechanics of elevation, through 10 Elements, as it arises in any endeavor where we seek to grow and improve — to better ourselves and to access new knowledge. Because it is a natural process, once we understand it for one path, it can be seen in almost any undertaking. They begin with the premise that we are first and foremost energetic beings, we are processing energies through our system non-stop. And, the ways of energies are graduated — there is a spectrum from low to high, coarse to refined, in all things. The journey is to move from the lower, entry level energy, to the higher, more complex and more intelligent energy. And there will be challenges along the way — always! There is resistance that will test our resolve, there are setbacks. We'll find we need to change things about ourselves to manage the next step. We'll have to brave uncertainty, and we'll have to find a way to trust our instincts and find ways to persist. Understanding the process offers a huge advantage toward succeeding. Why might the universe want a mechanism such as this? Perhaps it provides the greatest safety for us — we aren't given more than we can handle, and for the universe, where quality control ensures a reliable product. Ultimately, we want to meet the energetic requirements of the elevation we seek. Insights into elevation: Resistance is a necessary part of the journey to elevation Persistence is needed to overcome our default patterns When we surrender we allow higher intelligence to work through us We need to rewire ourselves to meet new requirements Quantum leaps help us in making transformational changes Acclimatization: how do we stabilize connections to higher sources of energy? This conversation is part of the continuing Portals discovery into what is emerging on the frontiers of human experience in this time of profound change. Information about upcoming special events can be found on the Events page. Also visit and subscribe to our YouTube channel. TWEETABLE QUOTES “This idea that every domain, everything you're going to do, has its requirement, and the reason this is so important is because, as we said, there is an energetic dimension to this. So once we begin to enter a new domain of practice, a new domain of knowledge, a new domain of artistry and mastery, what we are really describing is that the immersion inside this elevated energy space rewires and activates new internal pathways and connections. It's like the whole vessel that you are is rewired on the inside.” (Aviv) “The reason we often need to find the point of surrender through crisis is because we are creatures of habit, and also because we tend to love, not only our successes, but also our struggles and pain. We're not easy to let go. And so this entire focusing theme of the journey to elevation is a journey of learning to release, learning to let go, reaching the point of surrender, and reaching the point, as you said, where instead of you doing it, it begins to do it through you. Now what is this it? Well, it is the latent intelligence. It is the latent potential.” (Aviv) RESOURCES MENTIONED Portals of Perception Website Aviv's LinkedIn Aviv's Twitter Aviv's Website 10 Elements of the Elevation Process Mystery – Current Openings #24

Full Text of Readings Seventh Sunday of Easter - Ascension Lectionary: 58/59 The Saint of the day is Saint Paschal Baylon Saint Paschal Baylon's story In Paschal Baylon's lifetime the Spanish empire in the New World was at the height of its power, though France and England were soon to reduce its influence. The 16th century has been called the Golden Age of the Church in Spain, for it gave birth to Ignatius of Loyola, Francis Xavier, Teresa of Avila, John of the Cross, Peter of Alcantara, Francis Solano, and Salvator of Horta. Paschal's Spanish parents were poor and pious. Between the ages of seven and 24 he worked as a shepherd and began a life of mortification. He was able to pray on the job and was especially attentive to the church bell, which rang at the Elevation during Mass. Paschal had a very honest streak in him. He once offered to pay owners of crops for any damage his animals caused! In 1564, Paschal joined the Friars Minor and gave himself wholeheartedly to a life of penance. Though he was urged to study for the priesthood, he chose to be a brother. At various times he served as porter, cook, gardener, and official beggar. Paschal Baylon was careful to observe the vow of poverty. He would never waste any food or anything given for the use of the friars. When he was porter and took care of the poor coming to the door, he developed a reputation for great generosity. The friars sometimes tried to moderate his liberality! Paschal Baylon spent his spare moments praying before the Blessed Sacrament. In time, many people sought his wise counsel. People flocked to his tomb immediately after his burial; miracles were reported promptly. Paschal was canonized in 1690 and was named patron of eucharistic congresses and societies in 1897. Reflection Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament occupied much of Saint Francis' energy. Most of his letters were to promote devotion to the Eucharist. Paschal shared that concern. An hour in prayer before our Lord in the Eucharist could teach all of us a great deal. Some holy and busy Catholics today find that their work is enriched by those minutes regularly spent in prayer and meditation.Saint of the Day, Copyright Franciscan Media
Leveling up sounds exciting until you realize growth can make your old life feel unfamiliar. In this episode of The Level Up Podcast, Paul Alex breaks down one of the hardest parts of becoming better: the loneliness that comes with elevation. When your standards change, your environment starts to feel different. Your habits shift. Your goals get bigger. Your conversations become more intentional. And sometimes, the people who once understood you no longer align with where you are going. That does not mean you are better than anyone. It means you are growing into a new season. In this episode, you'll learn: Why outgrowing certain people is a natural part of personal growth How staying attached to the wrong environment can slow your progress Why leadership often feels lonely before it feels rewarding How to stay focused when your next level requires separation Because the truth is, you cannot build a bigger future while staying anchored to the same mindset, habits, and surroundings. Elevation requires distance. And while that distance can feel lonely at first, it also creates space for clarity, discipline, and transformation. The higher you go, the quieter it gets. But eventually, that quiet season attracts the right people. People who match your standards. People who understand your vision. People who are building at the same level. I don't keep replaying the same outcomes in my mind. What feels like discipline is usually just comfort, going back to something I already know so I can relive it. But when I stay in those loops, I'm stuck in the past and I can't move forward. Growth doesn't happen by replaying what already happened. It happens when I use what I learned and take new steps. In this episode, I explain why staying present is the real key, because I can't elevate if my mind is always somewhere else. Show Notes: [03:32]#1 Repetition without escalation is stagnation. [08:59]#2 Predictable outcomes reveal self imposed limits. [13:09]#3 Elevation requires abandoning the known script. [17:16] Recap Next Steps: --- Execution is not a talent. It is a measurable standard. If your results don't match your ability, you are not lacking information—you are lacking execution reliability. The Execution Reliability Index (ERI) identifies exactly where your discipline breaks, where your standards drop, and where your results are leaking. This is not theory. This is a system.
