Bill Delvaux has been involved in pastoral ministry as a youth minister and church planter, having studied at Duke University and the Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.   In 1992, Bill took a position teaching Bible at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, TN. During that time, he also coached the varsity boys track and cross-country teams.  This is where Bill found his quest for the next twenty years: connecting the truths of the Bible to the hearts of high school students. But as he took the quest, he found those same truths connecting to his own heart in unexpected ways.   So, he began a new quest, connecting the truths of the Bible to a larger audience. Despite his fear and initial objections, in 2012, he left full-time teaching to begin Landmark Journey Ministries.   Bill has been married to his wife, Heidi, for 33 years, and they have two amazing daughters, Abigail and Rachel. Interview with Bill Delvaux, author of Heroic: The Surprising Path to True Manhood. In this interview, Bill explains how our search for the heroic is found in the person of Jesus Christ. His example provides us with a model to Heroic manhood by following the path of dying to self so that we might experience a stunning resurrection through a life of loving service to others.

After studying at Duke University ('79) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School ('84), Bill was involved for eight years in pastoral ministry as a youth minister and church planter. After the heartbreak of a failed church plant, he took a position in 1992 teaching Bible at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville, TN. During that time, he also coached the boys track and cross country teams. Here he found his quest for the next 20 years — connecting the Bible to the hearts of high school students. But toward the end of that time, he began to feel God’s urging to pursue a new quest. This one would be connecting the Bible to the hearts of men. Despite his initial fear and objections, Bill's community of men encouraged him to begin something new.
