If you enjoy a healthy speaking career, you may want to explore the world of authorship and publishing.   Speaking is a natural springboard to writing, but start small if you'd like to get an early win and stage bigger success. You might, for example, publish a ten-point tip sheet on how to do something.  Self-publish this document by converting it to a .pdf and voila!  You're a published author. It seems like everyone has a podcast and a YouTube channel these days.   The best way to stand out is to differentiate your speaking style and your unique selling proposition.   If everyone else is using PowerPoint, for example, consider not using it.   Only use original content.  If you decide to use content from other speakers and authors, be sure to provide attribution. If you're speaking on a panel, try to be the first speaker or the last speaker. Author and speaker, Dave Sanderson interviews, presentation coach, Michael Angelo Caruso as Michael shares tips on how you can be a better speaker. Michael says that authenticty is the key.  "Good speakers are natural," says he says, "But it's difficult to be natural if you're nervous or if you don't speak very often or if you're worried about your own presentation."
