It seems that everywhere you look these days, you find a stereotype of the millennial generation.  We've all heard the same story told over and over.  Millennials are lazy, dependent on their parents, impatient and (my personal favorite) oh so entitled. Britt Hysen heard these generalizations too, but they didn't align with what she could see happening around her. So she decided to build a platform to express inspirational millennial stories from around the globe.  And thus was born MiLLENNiAL Magazine, an online publication with a mission to spread the powerful stories not being told about gen Y. She now acts as the magazine's Editor-in-Chief.   Britt joins me this week to discuss the inspiration behind MiLLENNiAL and some of the biggest challenges and opportunities our generation faces. Being an early influencer in the "millennial scene", Britt has become known as an expert on the successes of the generation. Her publication helps to dispel the negative reputation that follows millennials like a black cloud.     The millennial stereotype may not change overnight, but may be salvaged moving forward thanks to the efforts of inspirational thought leaders like Britt.     Learn more at millennialmagazine.com.

“I tell stories of the unsung heroes, the champions of humanity, giving hope to those in need of a quick pick-me-up. Through inspirational messaging and conscious action, I believe media has the power to motivate viewers to occupy their hearts.” - Britt Hysen Today we get to sit down with the Founder and Editor in Chief of Millennial Magazine, a digital publication focused on the potential of the Millennial generations as change agents. In it’s own words, it’s “Forbes meets Life magazine with a social impact twist.” Along with her team of photographers and writers, Britt produces monthly digital issues featuring stories across news, culture, profiles of Millennials making an impact and spotlights topics across the board, shining a light on the potential for a generation that up until recently has been more at the butt end of criticism than a tour de force generation that is coming into its own.
