Live from the Roots and Fruits theatre, it's the body-drumming sensation, Watermelon! If she ever gets ripe and ready to perform.

Recipe2 duck breasts Salt to season 2 teaspoons honey 1 tablespoon sherry vinegar ¼ large watermelon 1 cucumber 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds 1 teaspoon sesame oil 1 tablespoon soy sauce Juice and zest 1 lime 2 tablespoons mint leaves 4 scallions, chopped Handful coriander 50ml light oilScore the fat on the duck and season with salt. Place fat side down in a cold pan over low heat and gently cook until the duck fat is golden and crisp – will take about 15 minutes. Turn over and cook through. Rest the duck breast ( keep the fat for potatoes or roast vegetables). Peel the watermelon and cut into 2cm dice. Peel the cucumber and finely slice. Mix a tablespoon of the honey with the vinegar, lime juice, zest, sesame oil, oil and soy sauce. Brush the rested duck breast with the remaining hot and heat in a clean pan to caramelize. Slice thinly. Mix the cucumber, watermelon, mint and scallions and dressing with half the dressing. Spoon onto a platter and arrange the duck on top. Scatter over the sesame seeds and coriander.

Laura brought socks to her client David when she got back to NY. He sent me a photo asking if they were Cashmere because they were so soft and noting how great they looked with the pants he had on. Then I got a pic of his foot under his desk at work the next day. On July 4th I reminded them how to single & half-double crochet. Recipes below.Spencer2 oz dry gin1 oz apricot brandy (or ⅔ oz brandy and ⅓ oz orange juice)1 dashes bitters1 dash of orange juiceAdd all ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Double strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange slice or apricotNotes: Ben got this recipe from a deck of playing cards (nothing but the best for Giant Cocktails!) The original recipe from the deck of playing cards called for a dash of bitters and orange juice, but research suggests using two dashes of bitters and 2/3 oz brandy and 1/3 oz orange juice works better.Watermelon Old Fashioned2 oz Gin1/2 oz Watermelon Syrup2 dashes Orange Bitters1 dash Cherry Bitters (optional)Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice. Stir for 30 seconds and strain into a rocks glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a watermelon chunk.#doitforginny

To learn about the rich history of Rush Springs, stop by the Hampton House Museum on the main strip. When heading into town, keep your eyes peeled to spot the Dinosaur Roadside Ranch on US Highway 81. This attraction features junkyard metal artwork including two giant dinosaurs, an airplane with a tin can man pilot, an assortment of smiley face-themed pieces and more. One of the dinosaur pieces was built out of an old horse trailer and originally used as an animated parade float. It's a great pitstop to snap a photo! Watermelon vines had overtaken my garden. They snaked across the stone path, climbed the fence, and worst of all tried to choke my favorite vegetable plants. I knew the garden wouldn’t thrive unless I took action. So, one evening I went to work uncurling tendrils from stems and leaves. When the coils grew back, I kept removing them until the plants finally matured and produced plump tomatoes and shiny peppers. Sins like greed, lust, and hate can overtake our lives like the vines that tried to dominate my garden. Left untended, the seed of a wrong thought may develop until it controls our desires and actions. The Bible says it’s possible to be so consumed by a particular sin that we’re held back from growing spiritually. This is the “sin that so easily entangles us” (Hebrews 12:1). The writer of Hebrews encourages us to “throw off everything that hinders” so that we can “run with perseverance the race marked out for us” (vv. 1-2). To break free requires that we acknowledge we need help to handle the sin. This can be difficult if we’ve convinced ourselves and others that it’s not a serious issue. Once we sincerely admit the problem, Jesus welcomes our prayers of confession and forgives us immediately (1 John 1:9). He can show us how to change our life patterns and through the power of the Holy Spirit help us to overcome the bondage that prevents us from flourishing
