I’m often asked if the strategies used for online marketing can be translated to the local business. She also has a business geared towards females and credits that with her understanding how to work with women. 7:07 With running several successful businesses, she shares about how it took five years to pay herself and the struggle of growing a business. Big expenses pop up and as you make more, you spend more. Money is still a constant fight to make sure she's making enough to cover those expenses. And it also gives her an empathy for her coaching clients who are having struggles with money. Because she's still concerned over money sometimes too. 9:40 In the beginning, Stacy felt guilty about paying herself because she was constantly reinvesting in the business. Being forced by her CPA to pay herself lifted a huge weight off of her and found she cared more about the money coming in because she was getting something for herself. It made her business better and stronger when she started to care more about the money coming in. 11:15 Growing up in an entrepreneurial family, it wasn't something that was expected, but when she realized that she had a passion, her family truly supported her. Having a community of having people who get you is huge in business. Stacy has built a community with her dance school and with her online business. 13:12 Her biggest struggle is believing those who doubted her. Her downfall was seeing it as a side hustle. She had to stop treating the business as a hobby and looked at it as a business and that's when it took off. 13:54 Stacy has always been a leader and naturally transitioned into coaching entrepreneurs. She loves business and loves talking about it. She started talking locally with other business leaders. When someone had asked her to talk about business, it took her a while to recognize that she could do it as a business and make money from it. 15:42 When you want to share your gift and people will ask us for the information. We think our gift has to fit a mold and sometimes lose what our gifts are. Stacy's coaching is helping them uncover what they're good at and help them move forward. It doesn't have to be perfect but just get started. 18:26 If you have a couple things that you're looking at doing, what is it that will bring money in the quickest. What do you think is actually going to sell. It can't be completely you, but it has to also be about the people you want to serve. It's a relationship where each person is satisfied. 19:48 Stacy has her year planned out for what's next from She's Building Her Empire, but loves to follow a great idea when it comes. She's starting a Facebook Live TV show where she loves to give out information. She's cutting back on her launches while having them mapped out throughout the year. Having evergreen products is important for her to continue growing passive income. 22:54 Finding a balance is a journey and finding that balance is a good thing. Finding out what you're good at is important while focusing on what you are doing. Reverse engineering your goals is important as you create your plans. Stacy is working to sticking with one strategy and then making changes to make that strategy work well. 25:40 Raising daughters to who are confident, strong women is something that Stacy is concious of. She wants to lead by example for her daughters, her lifestyle and interactions with them to reflect how great it is to be an entrepreneur but allowing them to make that choice by themselves. Also, being aware of the things that she's telling her girls. She doesn't want to limit her girls' beliefs and teach them great values. She wants her girls to think the sky is the limit and she can do what she wants to do. In co-parenting, you have to be on the same page and make sure you're giving the same message.  29:18 Stacy's words for her girls are: I want my girls to see what I've created. You can do whatever you want to do, if you don't know how to do it, there's someone out there who does. All of these are skills that can be mastered. You learn and you get better and if you don't love it, you outsource.
