Key Points, Top Takeaways and Memorable Quotes - “You know, if you're not happy where you live, chances are it's not where you live, it's you. “ 6:31“What started out as a frenzy, like, ‘I have to stop this. I have to fix this.'  Turned into a, ‘Wow, look at all these tools in the world that can help me, help my kids, and then I realized, ‘Oh my gosh, they help me too!.'' 10:16“To stay optimistic, I am not optimistic when I need to be.” 33:04“I have to remind myself, ‘You are here to celebrate the life you've been given.'  And like, when I start to feel, I've been feeling a lot of that vibration of change, with back to school, and like, when I start feeling that way, I have to say what is this here to teach me and then what can I do with this knowledge?” 41:17“And then I had this epiphany like, lightning struck twice, what if this is a gift?  What if this isn't happenstance or what if this is exactly how this was supposed to go and this is what was needed to be a catalyst for whatever is supposed to happen next? And then, I believed that.”  43:48“I think it starts with really bringing our own differences to light and examining them because we can't love and accept differences if we carry shame for our own differences.”  56:39Guest Bio - Chrissy is a mom, wife, writer, picture taker, and World changer. She lives in the Central Valley of California with her husband Michael, and their two sons, Greyson and Parker. She is brave, honest, authentic and doesn't ever give up when it matters. Chrissy is a woman who has many strings to her bow, including being a tutor, a coach and a poet. She was living on her own in London when the lockdown was announced and she found herself feeling particularly isolated. As a result, when there was a call for people to help at her local food bank, she answered that call immediately and discovered her help was very much needed. http://ourvoicespodcast.com/ (Check out our website for the latest from Our Voices) We're also on https://www.facebook.com/ourvoicesinthenhs (Facebook), https://twitter.com/OurVoices14 (Twitter) and https://www.instagram.com/ourvoicespod/ (Instagram) A https://fascinateproductions.co.uk/ (Fascinate) Production Support this podcast

When Jen's Tribe speaks, we get the most incredible guests, and for the wrap-up of our Moxie series, Chrissy Kelly is no exception.  We asked you to tell us who you knew that had the most “moxie” – someone who epitomizes grit, determination and perseverance--and Chrissy’s name came up a hundred fold. Chrissy shares her journey as a “Type A” mom, an introvert, a writer, a blogger on her new site "lifewithgreyson.com," and a compulsive photographer.  Her “check the box” life was turned upside down when her first son was diagnosed with autism, and just as she started to deal with a “new normal,” her second son was diagnosed as well.  Her story is for all of us who have had to pick up the broken pieces of our lives, and find the strength and courage to carry on when it seems we’re dealt more hardships than we can bear.
