The hotel breakfast room was already full at 5:55 AM. Young men prepared themselves for a long, hard workday, and the scene brought back memories of Mama constantly reminding me, “Eat your breakfast!”“She eateth not the bread of idleness.” In this episode, we honor the godly mothers whose faithful influence has shaped generations. We discuss the desperate need for women who will teach the younger women, model Biblical femininity, strength, beauty, diligence, and true womanhood according to God's design.Far from the world's confusion, a truly powerful woman is one who fears the Lord, serves faithfully, and invests her life into the next generation for the glory of God. Join us as we give honor to mothers whose quiet faithfulness continues to leave an eternal impact. The Voice in the Wilderness does not endorse any link or other material found at buzzsprout.More at https://www.thevoiceinthewilderness.org/

Maybe one of the hardest areas to be mindful is in our relationships. People are dynamic creatures- with different personalities, wants, desires and needs- all created by God for good and with purpose. And then God said not to make man alone, so He built us for community with others who are also sinful and dynamic. That said, we have a lot to talk about! Join us and our friend, Christina Richardson, as we discuss how the Bible talks about mindfulness in our relationships and how we navigate them with love, grace and wisdom. We meet Sean Ono Lennon to explore his music and life with art, plus we discuss the forthcoming box set Power to the People, that Sean has produced, of his parents' Yoko Ono and John Lennon's 1972 fundraising live New York concert. We consider activism in art, especially the legacy of John and Yoko's timeless work together (as also documented in the recent One to One documentary).Recorded live at Madison Square Garden, New York City on 30 August 1972, the Power to The People box set includes 31 Live Tracks from John & Yoko's two historic sets at the One To One Concert backed by Plastic Ono Band, Elephant's Memory and Special Guests. They were John Lennon's only full-length concerts after leaving The Beatles and the last two full-length concerts that John & Yoko performed together. Released from 10th October 2025. He came of age in the kaleidoscopic '90s, working with Cibo Matto and issuing his first solo album, 1998's Into the Sun, on the Beastie Boys' Grand Royal label, while beginning a long stint playing in his mother Yoko Ono's band. In the following decade he formed the psychedelic duo the Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger and the improvisational prog group Mystical Weapons. As his musical interests expanded further, he teamed with Les Claypool to form the hard-to-categorize project the Claypool Lennon Delirium, branched out into film scoring, explored more mainstream territory as he worked with artists like Lana Del Ray, Lady Gaga and Lily Allen, and delved into jazz as well. His first foray into that style was 2024's Asterisms, a fully instrumental album of electronics-fused jazz and psychedelic soundscape music. The son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, Lennon was born in New York City in 1975. During his childhood, he was educated in Swiss boarding schools, but occasionally appeared on his mother's albums and sang on the 1984 Ono tribute Every Man Has a Woman. In his early teens, he was occasionally seen decked out in a plastic Thriller jacket and hanging out with Michael Jackson, but his first official step into the spotlight was in the form of filmed interviews for the 1988 documentary Imagine: John Lennon. Three years later, he organized -- with Ono and Lenny Kravitz -- a star-studded re-recording of his father's "Give Peace a Chance" as a protest to the Gulf War. That year, he also appeared on Kravitz's album Mama Said.” Biography by Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Rovi.In 2025, Sean is working on a new Claypool Lennon Delirium album (their 3rd) and is directing a documentary film on the crazy genius fashion designers 3as4, who have designed outfits for Bjork and Yoko among many others. In this throwback episode featuring Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire we spoke to the Brooklyn native in September of 2022 as he was getting ready to drop “VOL 1: I Love Y.O.U. Cuz Y.O.U. Ugly”. At that time he was experiencing something of an awakening and it was apparent in the music that he had found a new perspective. Your Own Understanding. It's become a mantra of sorts. And “Vol. 2: The Y.O.Uprint” just dropped on July 11th. We'll revisit our conversation about volume one and hear eXquire's compelling case as for LL Cool J as the greatest of all time.
(Undertaker Rising up Gif) Sorry for the late upload, I could not find my Dad's computer and he was sleeping. I am 45 years old. We are now the best LL Cool J podcast and we are talking about the GOATs 4th album Mama Said Knock You Out. We discover that this is really a love album, an album about how much this guy loves food. From Candy Bars to Cereal, LL was starving when he made this album. We talk about the price of those famous MN cheese curds, friends forcing you to miss work to go to a winery, Matt is still in Noth Dakota, and Rob realizes again that he is a grown child who might also be breaking a number of cyberstalking laws. Whether you are a Puffin or plain Cheerios, this episode has it all for you. Next week we talk about the album the French call the Love Royale when we talk about Sade and Love Deluxe.

What No One Tells You About Faith and Hard Times | Ralph Royea | THCC Days Until, Pastor Ralph's message from July 20th, 2025 The Shirelles' song, “Mama Said,” reminded us “that there'll be days like this.” King Solomon wrote in Ecclesiastes 7:14, In the day of prosperity be joyful, and in the day of adversity consider: God has made the one as well as the other, so that man may not find out anything that will be after him.” (ESV) Okay, some days will be better than others, but every day is a gift and an opportunity to consider God. Psalm 118 tells us, “This is the day that the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Faith does not wait “until” the good days to rejoice; Faith never stops rejoicing or believing in the promises of God. A thousand bad days cannot and will not compare to one day in His courts. If we finish the Cycle of “Rs,” the last "R" is Rejoice. Worship, Praise, Faith, and Rejoicing are not only prescribed or restricted for the good days, but for each and every one of the “days until.” Sure, “Moma Said,” but better yet is what Father declared in Jeremiah 33:14, The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will fulfill the good promise I made to the people of Israel and Judah. Get Ready, Be Ready!

Rootbeer Guy is back! Sorta. The Oh My Glob crew cover the Adventure Time episodes, "Cherry Cream Soda" and the wildly random "Mama Said"! For Amy's episode predictions, we present... Caroline's Handy Dandy Grading Rubric: Does the prediction contain the same characters as the actual episode? If I worked at A.T. corp. would I produce this episode idea? How much creative effort was put forth while coming up w/ this prediction? Do the prediction and the actual ep. follow the same archetype (i.e. love & loss, heroic adventure, self-discovery, etc.)? Would this story aide in the development of the overall plot and/or character development? Do the events of the story seem plausible in regard to character traits (i.e. It would not be plausible for Finn to do something evil)? Does a similar story line occur at some later point in the show? Has a similar story line already occurred in a previously reviewed episode? Send us a text4X4 III: TSAI MING-LIANG 4: DAYSTGTPTU's back to finish (cough) the job handily (cough) with a happy ending (oh boy) for our coverage of director Tsai Ming-liang, coming together (really, dude?) to get every ounce our four gents have to offer, pulling and tugging (grow up) on each's points and hot takes for this fourth and final 4x4 film of Jack's offering (was that a pun?) called, in its English release (are you serious?), DAYS (2020). If you like washing your vegetables in your bathroom or the feel of burning paper during your non-erotic electroshock massage sessions and also like to take things slow, boy-howdy do we have a film for you. Or if you like your massage erotic, well, this possibly sad, possible love story might be up your rainy, post-apocalyptic Bangkok alley (or busy street). And for fans of the previously covered Goodbye, Dragon Inn who enjoyed its minimal subtitles due to its paucity of dialogue, get excite: There is even less talk and zero subtitles in this latest Tsai Ming-liang joint. Naturally, actor and muse Lee Kang-sheng returns. Also billed, Anong Houngheuangsy in his debut film. Lee Kang-sheng plays an older dude who goes to the city for an obscure medical treatment for his back. Anong Houngheuangsy plays a younger guy on his grind (and occasionally Grinder?). About an hour into the film, these two hook up, a gift is exchanged, and the two have a quiet, postcoital meal outside a restaurant. Then they return their separate, silent ways after about forty-five minutes of shared screentime. And with just minutes to spare in this movie just over two hours long, we watch Anong Houngheuangsy's character at a bus stop as he sits and waits and waits and waits until, wait for it, what appears in BMI and skin tones to be a herd of Americans passes by. Listen along as the foursome wraps up (and Thomas declines to rank) Tsai Ming-liang's four covered movies. EPISODE SPOILER: Ken reveals for perhaps the first time to English-speaking audiences the sitcom origins of Tsai Ming-liang's films. Next ep, we begin the first pairing of the four William Wyler films chosen by Ryan: Detective Story (1951) and The Desperate Hours (1955).
