We talk to sports writer Erik Malinowski about his new book Betaball: How Silicon Valley and Science Built One of the Greatest Basketball Teams in History.
We've been doing this for a while, both on this podcast and on others. We've had all kinds of technical issues over the years, but this is probably the first time we've ever failed to actually save a recorded segment after completion. So Episode 75 of For All You Kids Out There is only two halves, which makes more mathematical sense we guess. There's some outdated playoff thoughts, some outdated USMNT discussion, early thoughts on the Mets managerial search, road trips plans to Syracuse and then we chat with Erik Malinowski about the Golden State Warriors and baseball murder mysteries.
*This episode originally came out in February. Erik's book on the Golden State Warriors is out today. Erik Malinowski of Bleacher Report talks about writing a book about the Golden State Warriors, our favorite Simpsons episodes (including which one to best introduce Brian's daughter to the show), and why you should never Tweet. We also get super nerdy talking about Scrivener.

In Episode 3 of For All You Kids Out There, the BP Mets podcast, Jeffrey and Jarrett have a reasonable, sobering (but not sober) discussion about what ails Matt Harvey. Is it just a matter of physician, heal thyself, or does he need an, uh, actual physician. Fortunately the Mets bullpen has been good even as the starting pitching has underperformed a bit, but Jeffrey isn't convinced this is going to last. Next, we chat with Erik Malinowski about recent Bartolo Colon news and recent David Wright walkoffs, Finally we wrap things up with your missives and a long discussion about David Ortiz and the Hall of Fame, because Jeffrey stupidly got Jarrett wound up about Mike Mussina.
Ben and Sam preview the Giants’ season with Erik Malinowski, and Jeff talks to Grant Brisbee of McCovey Chronicles (at 24:10).
Ben, Sam, and Erik Malinowski banter about Madison Bumgarner the batter, then discuss Astros rookie Carlos Correa’s early achievements.
In this week's edition, we'll talk about NY sports (as usual) but we'll also talk to sportswriter Erik Malinowski, video guru CJ Fogler, and Editor of Pinstripe Prospects Jed Weisberger. Plus, your calls!

But which panelist will strain international relationships to the breaking point? (Hint: He has a beard.) Host Philip Michaels with Serenity Caldwell, Jeff Carlson, Erik Malinowski and Jim Dalrymple.

The third episode of my Life of Leisure includes many things: Firstly, my life of leisure is now available on iTunes. Subscribe here. 'Stuff I'm Reading': With the weather turning warmer, a listener tweets into the show with a question about making the transition from sweatclothing to shorts. I answer this question. 'Stuff I'm Watching': RDsLOL mythic figure / Longtime House Hunters and House Hunters International host Suanne Whang is interviewed. She's one part filthy and four parts funny. Didn't expect that. This is the bleeped version of the interview, but be warned of occasional suggestive themes. And please visit Suzanne's site, www.SuzanneWhang.com, to help Suzanne in her battle against cancer. 'Stuff I'm Playing': In a callback from Erik Malinowski's appearance in episode 1, 'Digital Dave' (from my Tuesday hoops game) is interviewed about his awkward mastery of the straight-on bank shot. Also: his secret alter ego is potentially revealed. I also debut 'This Week in Freudian Slips'. Additional thanks to Mikey and Buzzsaw. Listener emails are part of my Life of Leisure. Some will be read on the show. Email the show at RoccosLifeOfLeisure@gmail.com. Twitter: http://twitter.com/RoccoDeMaro Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/rocco.demaro And again--please visit www.SuzanneWhang.com to help the ever-so-talented Suzanne in her battle against cancer. The 2nd fundraising event will take place April 17, 2:00 p.m. at the Matrix Theatre in Hollywood. Details & tix at http://www.wakingupfabulous.com/april17.html

The debut of my Life of Leisure includes many things: 'Stuff I'm Reading': Wired.com's sports editor, Erik Malinowski drops in. We discuss a recent study showing bank shots as more successful, statistically, than swishes; a new 'athletes as stocks' website that deals in real cash; the boxscore from 'Space Jam' via some Harvard guys and that crazy, world record-holding bellyflopping man. 'Stuff I'm Watching': (embarrassingly enough) House Hunters Burn/Praise of the Week. 'Stuff I'm Playing': A review of the inexpensive videogame, 'Deathspank'. An ideal bit of entertainment for those living a Life of Leisure? Or a waste of 12 dollars? Listener emails are part of my Life of Leisure. Some will be read on the show.
