HOW have we not yet discussed Batman in the year and half of this podcast?!?? This era-defining story THE COURT OF OWLS from 2011 by writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo was a phenomenal benchmark for the character, creators, readers, and lore as a whole, delving into the history of Gotham itself and setting the stage for an incredible years-long run by the same creative team. In which our heroes discuss two DC comics Batman: Court of Owls and John Constantine, Hellblazer Vol. 1: Original Sins. Both were liked by both Charles and Jav although Jav clearly hated the art in the Batman arc saying the artist was only borderline great.Batman: The Court of Owls Issues 1-7 Written by Scott Snyder Art by Greg CapulloJohn Constantine, Hellblazer Vol. 1: Original Sins Written by Jamie Delano Art by John Ridgway
The Court of Owls was created by writer Scott Snyder and artist Greg Capullo and feature as Batman's main antagonists in the first two-story arcs of The New 52, the 2011 reboot of DC's continuity. They are first mentioned in Batman (vol. 2) #2 (2011) and make their first cameo appearance in Batman (vol. 2) #3 when Batman discovers one of their secret bases of operation and where they are seen posing with one of their assassins, the Talon William Cobb, in a series of old photographs, finally providing Batman with proof of their existence. The Court of Owls make their first full appearance in Batman (vol. 2) #6 with Batman fighting his way through the Labyrinth. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/rangerryan/message
