She is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati's DAAP program, where she studied fashion design and talks about what it was like going through the program, the inspiration behind her creating this top and company, and future products she has planned for the brand! This week, I had the joy of speaking with fashion journalist and activist Lottie Jackson, about her thoughts on what 'diversity' really means in the fashion business. I think it’s important that you all learn more about Lottie’s work -- she’s more than just a fashion writer. Lottie is a diversity advocate, Oxford graduate, writer and correspondent for the amazing fashion roundtable organization, and a contributor to publications we all know and love like Sunday Times Style, ES Magazine and The Guardian. On episode #10 of Fashion Originators, I spoke with Megan Sullivan -- the founder of luxury post-mastectomy fashion brand, With Grace B. Bold. After Megan’s mother was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer, Megan became inspired to combine her fashion design background with her desire to improve the lives of breast cancer patients and survivors. Post-mastectomy, women often struggle to find stylish and comfortable clothing. To solve this struggle, Megan developed two tops: “The Ann-Elizabeth” and “The Eileen." Both are luxurious wrap-tops, but the Ann-Elizabeth also features a container for the mastectomy drainage system.
